This museum focuses on the history of Nagoya City's water supply and sewage system maintenance from before the Edo period. We also carry a wide range of related items, such as old manholes, wooden pipes, and emergency toilets in times of disaster. There are also outdoor exhibits, so you can visit them in about 30 minutes to an hour. In the future, it seems like they would like to connect it to the Higashiyama Water Tower as a promenade, but it seems that completion is still a long way off.

At the Nagoya City Water and Sewage History Museum, we learned about sewage and waterworks from the Edo period in an easy-to-understand manner. I learned a lot from the historical exhibits. There were temporary toilets that can be used in times of disaster, disaster prevention exhibits, etc., and we even received free water from Nagoya City. We also got a manhole card, and there was also an exhibition of designed manholes. There is a parking lot, and it may be a fun facility for children to learn. There was also trick art.

A museum where you can learn about the history and role of Nagoya's water and sewage systems. You can drink the cold Nagoya tap water at the entrance. All you can drink! There are many interesting exhibits that are worth seeing, starting with an exhibit on water and sewage systems from the time when the Owari clan used wooden gutters, and then talking about water intake and purification, and the evolution of piping attachments. It can be enjoyed not only by children but also by adults. Nagoya City manhole cards are distributed at the reception. I received something designed to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of sewerage service. If you take the train, it will take around 20 minutes on foot from the nearest station, so we recommend taking a bus from the station. There are 18 parking spaces for cars. Use of the facility, including parking, is free.

Visited in August 2023. It was a hot day, so the Kinshachi water (free of charge!) at the entrance was very delicious. The history of Nagoya's water and sewage systems is explained in an easy-to-understand manner. There is a time when there was a debate about whether to take water from the Kiso River or from Iruka Pond, and there are photos of when Iwaya Dam was in drought. It was interesting to include explanations about dams.

Both parking and admission are free. It looked stylish and the toilet was clean. There is a large parking lot and a bicycle parking lot. There is an exhibition of design manholes outside, and inside there is a replica of Nagoya City's original manhole and a guide map of where you can see the real thing. I also enjoyed the exhibits about waterworks, which seemed sophisticated. You can drink Nagoya tap water, which is called Kinchisui, chilled for free. At this time, you can receive a manhole card with a barn bridge drawn on it and a tin badge from the support project for examinees.

You can learn about the history of Nagoya's water and sewage systems. There were a lot of families there, but it wasn't too crowded, so I was able to enjoy the view at my leisure. I was able to drink cold tap water near the reception desk, which was helpful in the hot weather. By the way, the area up to Higashiyama Water Tower is under construction and will not be accessible until March 2024.

Learn about water and sewage systems. I learned not only about modern times but also about the history of waterworks. I also received a manhole card from Nagoya City. Admission and parking were both free of charge.

I visited the museum on the weekend to get a manhole card. It was a museum where you could learn about the history of Nagoya's old manholes and water, which are nostalgic not only for children but also for adults. There are optical illusion photo spots in front of the entrance and right after entering the entrance, although they don't have much to do with water.

I feel proud of Nagoya City. I went in early March 2024. The museum is divided into four exhibition rooms, and you can learn about the history of water from the Edo period to the present day for free. We are holding a quiz rally, and in addition to participation prizes, if you answer all the questions correctly, you will receive a free gift. Let me take a tour Through the efforts of our predecessors, we have secured water rights, and the citizens of Nagoya have realized that they no longer have to experience the hardships of water shortages. Also, with the Noto Peninsula earthquake cutting off the water supply lifeline, Nagoya City has been able to secure water rights in the event of a disaster. However, I was impressed that they are taking steps to prevent water outages. The inside of the building is bright and clean, and we recommend that Nagoya residents take a tour.

(Translated by Google) So was carried out in the car of a friend traffic do not know, but he is exhibiting the water supply and sewerage of the history of Nagoya, (Museum of Science in Kobe water, such as Osaka Sewerage Science Museum) other water Museums and compared with the exhibition room is narrow, slow sand filter, becomes unknown meaning that there is no knowledge because there is not no explanation is also listed keywords, such as activated sludge process.

You can learn about Nagoya's water system for free. You can also get trading cards that are distributed for free throughout Japan. Japan is the only country with a variety of manhole cover designs, which are popular with manhole cover enthusiasts overseas.

(Translated by Google) First of all, it's much narrower than I thought... I thought it was very interesting because there are some latest games like study games that children can enjoy, e? ! only this? It was as big as I thought. I had to park far away, It was during summer vacation, so I was surprised that it was very crowded even on weekdays.
