They have what you need almost always. The price is a little higher though and you're easily distracted to the more expensive alternative. BUT it's a wonderful shop, and if I wasn't a student I would be doing all of my groceries there!

ABSOLUTELY the WORST toilet I've ever seen in a Føtex. Beyond the fact that they had just cleaned the men's toilet 5 minutes before according to their cleaning schedule, I couldn't wash my hands with soap after surviving the black molding toilet, the blood on the floor and seat, or the human fecal matter on the wall under the toilet paper dispenser. And to top it off there's no soap to wash your hands. Come on Salling get it together! Use your cleaning products to get it clean and hygienic OR don't offer a customer toilet!!

Good parking space, has a bakery and apothecary inside aswell as a PostNord package service. Large store with good stock. Normally busy between 9.30 until 17.00.

Føtex is a nice, but very large shop. We used to do most of our shopping here, but after Salli g Group stopped the "øko" (organic) membership discount program we've moved all our shopping elsewhere. The program was really attractive, but without it Føtex is just another good supermarket.

Herman Salling opened the first føtex in 1960 in the street "Guldsmedgade" in the city of Århus in Denmark. Føtex in many ways revolutionized the way in which the Danes shopped: this was the first time the Danes saw a non-food (electronics, clothes, perfumes, books etc.) and a food department gathered under one roof. In 1964, Herman Salling, ancestor of Ferdinand Salling, realized that to compete with other initiatives starting in those years, he needed a strong financial support. He contacted the A.P. Møller-Mærsk Group which acquired 50% of the shares and supported Sallings project financially. As of 2006, the chain consists of 76 stores located all over Denmark, with føtex in Ringsted as the newest store, opened October 18, 2006. Further expansion is planned. A typical storeEdit Inside a typical føtex, there is a food section, a deli and a non-food section. The food section is like a full-service supermarket, with a bakery and a butcher. The non-food section includes electronics, cosmetics and clothing among other general things. Føtex also launched an e-commerce area with the ability to print digital photos. The online store also includes music downloads. føtex foodEdit The føtex food concept was introduced in 2010, also in the original store in Guldsmedgade in Aarhus at the store's 50-year anniversary. The føtex food concept phased out the non-food departments and concentrated focus on food items instead.

Nice selection in a big and well temperate store. Deli is very well stocked.

Nice large supermarket in the Svendborg harbour area, big parking lot, easy to get to and a great variety of products. Polite staff too (which is unusual in Denmark).
