I do like a little bit of water with my chlorine. After we exited the pool, we headed outside to see the view. However, we couldn't, because our eyes were stinging from the notoriously large amounts of chlorine. I counted 5 floating plasters, 3 balls of bodily hair and another 3 in my mouth that I could physically not get out. The changing rooms were absolutely, completely, stunningly, utterly revolting. Our relatives were silently gagging at the horrors that were the changing cubicles. Everyone present in the changing rooms were wandering around in what smelt like others' urine. I thought I could have a nice coffee after my swim in the toilet (oh wait sorry, swimming pool), however the plans were scuppered by the fact that there was no barista, of whom probably had to run out of the building due to the extreme chlorine levels. Now, for the positives. The lifeguards were friendly, the rides were fun and plentiful and the waves were gigantic; very entertaining! All bar 1 ride - the Boardrider - were working. That's what pushed the review to 3 stars. Final word; DO NOT ENTER THE CENTRE OF THE LAZY RIVER UNLESS YOU HAVE VERY HIGH CHLORINE TOLERANCE!! The overpowering chlorine hit us in the face like the equivalent of chopping 30 onions. 10 hours later, we still can hardly see and are wondering how to drive the 4 hours home to Hertfordshire tomorrow. See you next year! 😊

Good facilities. Staff are helpful. Very wheelchair friendly, step free entrance and more than one loft to access the upper levels. There are lots of great classes on offer and the gym is well equipped and staff were able to accommodate my needs and enable me to work out despite my wheelchair

A great experience for all the family if you don't often go to waterparks. Very busy in holidays. The rubber ring slide is brilliant, even if you're going backwards, but there could be a long wait. The wave machine was also good. There might be lessons going on in the deeper pool.

It's good but man there's too many people in there. The queues for the slides are ridiculous and take up most of your time if you're wanting to ride them. The changing areas are like a free for all, definitely not enough space to move around properly in them. It stunk of urine in the changing rooms and one of the men's urinals was not draining urine properly so it was just sat there nearly overflowing.

I had high hopes for the LC but that quickly changed. Firstly though I’d like to mention that the staff at reception and in the pool were friendly. The changing rooms absolutely stunk of urine, not sure if people realised there are toilets within 30 seconds of the changing rooms?!?! The main ride with the tubes was broken, the surfing pool was closed, one of the swimming pools was closed for ‘lessons’, despite they’re being less than 3 people in there, the place was very dirty and their bill for Chlorine must be astronomical as my eyes are still burning now, more than 24 hours later! £26 for a family ticket for the full experience was definitely not worth it, real shame.

We payed full price for the pool which was around 50 quid for us all. The slides and baby area where not open (only one small baby pool and lazy river where open) no wave machine either. Our day felt a little bit overpriced for that

Poor experience The lagoon was closed to general public due to a lesson. Also the ring slide was closed, the most popular slide. There was only 2 children present for the lesson. The rest of the pool was overcrowded as a consequence of the lagoon being closed, which was particularly hazardous when the wave machine was on. Staff should notify swimmers of pool area restrictions at point of booking. In my opinion, price concession should be considered of area restrictions, allowing customers to determine if it's worth paying with area restrictions.

It’s a great pool for kids and families. A Sunday morning session is the best time to go as the pool is quiet for the first hour of your slot and only gets busy towards the end. The volcano slide is more daughter’s favourite, but she also enjoys the baby pool. Once you’re out the pool, soft play is good fun if you or your little ones have any energy left. The only reason I’ve marked it down from five stars is because on a couple of occasions the water in the baby pool/play area has been freezing cold. Though the last time this happened, staff were pretty quick to rectify it. It might have been too late for us, but I appreciated the response.

The place is very well suited and designed for younger kids. The slides are cool and very fun but the joins hurt our backs and hips where you could fell the silicone had worn down. Wave rider was highlighted in website but small print on site the waver rider was down for maintenance. So little let down. I'm coming off as not having a good time we really did just feel needs little more up keep.

Prices have gone up a lot and the pools are often over crowded. Staff are very polite and helpful. The play area is great and not to expensive. 3* because they do let to many people in the pool at same time

Really good value and the numbers are really well managed. Very clean and lots of attentive staff. The tyre flume is good fun with short wait times. Waves every 20 minutes. Arrive at 10 on a Sunday for no queues and you also get free parking on St Davids Multistorey.

DIDN'T have the best time today. Been going there and loving it for years. The changing rooms look shabby and smell bad. Staff look bored and miserable, life guards have bad attitude, stopped us using a rubber ring for my son who cannot swim and has a learning difficulty,. Miserable time, couldn't wait to leave. Stayed less than an hour. HORRIBLE PLACE.

Great pool. Been here many times. Down side is changing room smelt very bad. Smelt like old urine. Feel like cleaning in these areas could benefit from bleach and a mop. That said maybe it was a bad day

Great place to bring the kids. We booked in for soft play and swimming on the same day and the kids had a smashing time!. Was really busy in the pool but enough space to do your thing. Didn't feel like we were squashed in.

It's fantastic there, very informative and friendly staff. I would highly recommend great jacuzzi, steam room, chairs. Large gym with lots of different equipment, swimming pool is very big too.

Wow, Logan on the soft play was an absolute God send. Never before have I seen a staff member so engaging with the children, from talking to my 5 year old about her future career as a medic to playing with my 2 year old in the ball pit to distract her from having hurt herself. He worked his backside off and made it look effortless. The facilities themselves are cracking and priced really well. Best designed soft play I've been to. The pools were fantastic, although the surf area was out of action, the changing rooms freezing and the disabled parking a joke. Still gets a solid 5 stars, a gem of a place that I wish we were locals of.

Grandkids wanted to do the climbing wall and swimming. They loved every minute of it. Very friendly sociable community pool. We booked on a rainy day and glad we did.

Visited today with a group of disabled young people. We waited over an hour for food. When we asked where the food was the first time we were told "5 minutes" 45 minutes later were received 1 meal! When I approached the catering staff the smirked, apologised grudgingly and informed me there was only 1 person cooking the food. (Putting it in the microwave!) Another family had also been waiting over an hour for their food. When I asked for a refund I was told they don,t do them so asked to speak to a manager. Disinterested, couldn,t care less. Gave me a refund and said maybe it would be a good idea to let people know there was a delay with food!!! ( Following the same suggestion from both myself and the other family waiting for their food) I am a type 1 diabetic who took my insulin because my food order was in. Ended up with no food and very low blood sugar. No interest from the catering staff who smirked and rolled their eyes!

It was a nice place to go for a visit. 2 things that would have helped would be a better parking facility and the building itself could have been warmer inside, leaving the pool area it was very brisk and the children's pool wasn't that warm at all, my son was shivering. The staff were great and very helpful. The price was reasonable for what we paid for. I think 4 star is a good rating, will revisit in the future.

Wave runner has never worked even though on the leaflet it specifically says 'the surf's always up at the LC!', the locker rooms are dirty and cramped, but other than that quite good and fun. Great slides, wave machine is quite fun, lazy river is relaxing with a nice Jacuzzi in the middle, and a lovely warm hot tub. (although going back into the pool from hot tub is quite cold!) Would recommend for people who don't mind dirty cramped places and weren't thinking of going on the wave runner. Would NOT reccomend for people with claustrophobia, people who don't like dirty places (like my daughter) or people who wanted to try surfing. Just go to the beach on a day with lots of good waves and bring a surfboard!

Went on a busy weekend with the family and we had an enjoyable time - there's three water slides (one using a donut ring), a wave machine, a small circular lazy river and other pools. It wasn't cheap - £33.30 for two adults and two small children - and £6 for parking next door, so it loses a star. The parking at the International Pool in Cardiff is free.

Great family venue, where activities such as; swimming, gymn' work and climbing can be enjoyed. We took visitors to the area there, for the swimming and splash pool area. Although busy, the booking system allows for around 1 1/2 hrs of playtime. You are well advised to book in advance, online. The booking experience is quite easy to navigate, using a smartphone, which also becomes your 'e ticket'. Prices are reasonable and some concessions are available, all explained to you, as you read through. The splashdown area is nicely sized, with waves and slides to enjoy and enough space to do a little swimming, although most of the customers are there to splash and slide. Spectators can observe from ground level or from above, free of charge. I found the ground level area to be much more comfortable, as the top floor area is not separated, therefore gets quite humid and warm. The ground floor has several tables, chairs and bar stools, with a glass wall, to observe the family having fun in the water. There is also a decent cafe, along with the obligatory vending machines, which take card or cash. The cafe serves pretty good snacks and treats, as well as coffee, tea and cold drinks. All of the staff are pleasant, polite and well informed, able to explain the system and give directions where needed. The ticket dest also has an area for purchasing swimming accessories such as; goggles, armbands and floats. Car parking is easiest at the two multi storey parks closeby, one opposite the LC2 and the other, beneath the Swansea Arena. These car parks are 3 to 5 minutes walk from the LC2, there is street parking in the area, but you'll be very fortunate to find a space and time there is limited.

The place is nice and the pool is fun but it's quite cold when you get out of the pool and that they want you to pre-book but if you can't make it or someone in the group can't make it their answer is just a careless "oh we don't do refunds!!" That's bad. You know anything can come up.

Facilities are good but the temperature of the water in the play area for younger children in particular was way too cold, especially for toddlers and babies. Also, the changing rooms are very cold and draughty, and my toddler was very cold and miserable getting out and changed. Her lips were blue almost throughout our visit. This needs to be addressed.

Nice and safe place for kids. My boy has loved it and ask me to revisit. Also, the people work inside are incredibly nice and caring, especially the manger Sasha.

They've got an amazing gym and the service is great. The pool area is very well suited for recreation and very safe for all age groups. I highly recommend this place for a nice relaxing time at the spa, worth every penny.

What a great morning we had LC Swansea. Visiting Wales for half term and wanted to take the kids swimming. Had low expectations due to various poor Google reviews here (chlorine, dirty, busy) but happy to say our visit was top notch! We arrived early(ish) for the 10am session and it was spotlessly clean, no queues and hardly any people. We all had a great time, all three slides were working (surf thing was out of order). There was a guy cleaning the changing rooms so they stayed fresh - he was doing a great job. Life guards were clearly being attentive (rare thing these days). It was getting busier as we left so I guess it gets busy as people overstay their sessions. Car park next door was free too (Sunday). I don’t doubt previous comments were well founded but certainly not today. Maybe arriving early is the trick???

We love LC Swansea so much we go all the way there once is a while from RCT despite being much closer to Cardiff International. We have a 6 and a 3 year old and they both have great fun each time. Wave pool, slides, climbing wall and soft play is the ideal combo for a day or fun.

We visited the LC for a birthday party. They have a new bouncy castle and bouncy play area for the children, they'll have fun. The place seemed busy with the score of activities available. The staff were polite and seemed happy working at their activities. Worth a visit

Great session of swimming and fun with the whole family. The flumes were great fun especially the blackout one where you had no idea where you were going next. The wave machine was quite regular and fun. Lots of children's water slides and a warmer jacuzzi area for adults to watch from.

Excellent Facility, I really enjoyed Women Only swimming hour. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Dirty, not as advertised at all. The lifeguards all had major attitude problems and didn't fill me full of confidence at all. Most of the staff were not happy and were a little rude to say the least. The changing rooms were disgusting, filthy and stank!

  • 1/5 Jessica R. 2 years ago on Google
Only allowed a hour and 15 minutes in the pool which I found was expensive for the lack of time compared to other pools. The slides were awful. The rubber ring slide everyone kept getting stuck in, the countdown for the wave machine which was meant to be every 21 minutes for longer. The waves happened ONCE in the hour and 15 minutes we was in the pool. Won't ever waste time or money going here again.

Fantastic leisure centre. Good equipment in the gym, all up to date and lots of choice there. Never difficult to get on a specific machine that you use in your routine, as they have multiple of each. Very clean and well maintained facility. Excellent play facilities for children of all ages with sensory room and baby soft play and a larger soft play for older children. Waterpark is great with lots of slides, wave machines and different sized pools. Theres also a surfing machine that is meant to be excellent but I have not used this personally. Climbing wall for all ages is great fun too. Costa on site for coffee and snacks. Jacket potatoes and the children's menu are pretty tasty too. Difficult to fault this place.
