Aan de Eike Guest house in Swellendam is a modern, well maintained upmarket Guest house. There is a main entrance where a Coffee Bar/ Bar is available as well as a restaurant. They also have a few benches at the entrance outside under shade. This is very pleasant for sundowners or to have your breakfast. The Guest house is built in a square around the swimming pool, with each door leading our to the swimming pool. On one of the side roads is a security gate to a parking area. The whole complex is wheelchair accessible as ramps exist. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. They have a mini bar and a coffee station. There are a few snacks available, but this is not for free. Rooms are Air-conditioned and electric blankets are on the bed. The swimming pool has a deck with deckchairs. Ideal to sunbath, relax or just read a book. I did not notice waiters, so if you want a coffee or drink you need to buy from the bar and bring down to the pool. All in all a very enjoyable stay and highly rated.

We booked the accommodation as several family members attended a function. The guest house is easy to find and close to where we needed to be in Swellendam and not far from shops. From the moment that we booked until our departure, was a blessed feeling. The accommodation-if you wondered, it is clean, well organized with friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommend.

Petru and her team went out of their way to make our stay as best as possible. Delicious breakfast with freshly brewed coffee to start the day, a relaxing pool and deck for the afternoon and super comfy beds to have a great night's sleep! Highly recommended!!

Lovely guesthouse near the city center. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The room had an excellent bed, airco and a great shower. There is free WiFi throughout the place. There is a small swimming pool.

This place is beautiful and feels luxurious. The staff were friendly enough and the service was good. Plenty of parking available on the property, which is appreciated. Breakfast was boring, but that could be the option I chose. The advertised check out time is 11am; however, when you get to the guest house they will tell you it's 10am. This I did not appreciate as I felt deceived. I should not have to make a special request if check out is supposed to be at 11am and I intend leaving by 11am.

Stopped for a quick bite and coffee. They were closing but the staff were so accommodating and welcomed us. Delicious sweet berry pancake and yummy jaffle. And pet friendly on the patio which is a huge plus when holidaying with your pet. Will definitely stop there when next travelling through Swellendam..

My Anyhoo's...This place is absolutely amazing. Franklin is a star, warm, professional and exceptionally pleasant. The rooms are great, and the ambiance...unmatched. So if you looking for a beautiful experience, in nature and some well deserved peace and quiet, THIS IS IT...So, until next time....πŸ˜‰

I omly had breakfast here. Service was fast and friendly. One of the few places that is open for an early breakfast. The omelette was excellent. The gardens look great. I expect the rooms to be great too.

We stayed there for one night and were very pleased. The location is perfect, the staff was very welcoming and helpful and the rooms have everything you need. We would absolutely recommend Aan de Eike Guest House for a stay in Swellendam.

Thank you for a lovely stay. Clean, neat, friendly staff and yummy food. Right in town with easy access to the local market, to shops and restaurants. Very relaxing atmosphere. Safe, enclosed parking.

The place looks really nice at face value. I was not impressed with the cleanliness here. My husband had to clean the toilet before we used it as the underside of the seat was absolutely soiled. The floors are dark in the rooms, which camouflage the dirt on the floor. I spilled some water and wiped with some paper and the amount of dirt on the paper was astounding. The floor towel for stepping out of the shower was neatly placed on the unhygienic toilet.....the cleaning staff definitely need more training and supervision

Disgustingly dirty floors. Floor in the bedroom itself got wet so I wiped it up with a provided white hand towel, which then showed nearly black grime from the floor, as seen in attached picture. Bathroom floor felt like it was covered in a layer of Vaseline and had yellow stains around the toilet. Would not risk walking barefoot anywhere in the room so had to wear socks the entire time despite the hot weather. This all made me nervous using the bedding or touching any surfaces as well.

Located in Swellendam. I only had cold drinks on the front stoop, so I can't rate the rooms. The service was okay, but not excellent. I saw the pictures of the back of this place me couldn't believe it was so nice since I was at a table in the front of the building and it was very very hot. So I order a cold drink and moved to a new place that had air-conditioned eating place. Maybe this place had too, but I wasn't given an option.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Delicious roosterkoek and a wonderful stop to stretch legs on the N2 bound for Cape Town/George. Their toasties and tjippies are delicious too. A great place to get little one’s free in a safe kids play area, with some goats too. Well equipped shop with many snacks and fresh fruits.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ One of the best restaurants we’ve come across in Swellendam. It did help that the weather was perfect which made it a really wonderful experience sitting outside under the oak trees. The restaurant is on what seems to be the more trendy street in Swellendam catering for tourists or visitors. You co...
