Elianthe Swellendam referred us to Woodpeckers as the place with the most delicious pizza. We'll I can definitely confer that it was truly delicious and the crust is amazing........ The staff super efficient and very helpful and the menu is something of everything. Definitely a must go to when IN Swellendam....... You will get good value for money. 👍🏻

Great Vibe. Staff are friendly, and the food is DELICIOUS. Absolutely the best pizza you'll eat. Lasagna is also incredible. I asked for quite a complicated build your own pizza and it was PERFECT and delicious. Will visit again when in Swellendam.

Perfect pizza! Simple, high quality ingredients. Stick to the Italian-style basics with fewer toppings and it might be the best pizza you've ever had. Great selection of beers. Friendly service. Cosy atmosphere in an old thatched house. Superb value.

Great experience, walked around for a while in Swellendam to find and cozy place with good pizza that is affordable and we found it! As soon as we got there the service was amazing, the little one was entertained with a smarty pizza she could make herself and she was given crayons and a colouring book to entertain her while the pizza was baking. Very cute. The pizza was aaaaaaaaammmmmaaaazzzzziiiinnngggg! Very very good. The burger patty was a bit dry and had onions in, which was not mentioned in the menu, so I would recommend the pizza not the burgers.

This place has the best pizza and milkshakes ever. Second time in 10 years and it's still the same quality pizzas. A real gem in this small town.

Outdoor under the trees for hot days, indoors for cooler evenings, wooden floors, thatch and a gas heater give it a cosy atmosphere. Thin crispy bases with toppings right to the edges. Not oily at all. The calzone size was very generous. Pizzas tasted great! Plus a small craft and international beer selection. I think the choc lava pudding is a microwave cause it came out very fast but didn't stop me from enjoying it. Very sweet waitress. Well worth the visit.

Carbonara was very delicious. The sauce was excellent and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The best in town. Their thin based pizza is delicious. They offer a wide variety of toppings including blue cheese and green figs, my favorite.

Awesome Puttanesca, unfortunately no anchovies were to be had, but the pasta was awesome. Duvel as well. Def know their stuff

Woodpeckers has some of the best pizza in Swellendam, each time we have eaten there their waiter have been friendly.

Very good pizza. Service very slow. Pity they don't have a gluten free option for pizza or pasta. Staff need to learn what wheat is. Told an item was wheat free when it wasn't. Told by a second staff member after the meal arrived that it did contain wheat. Could have been very dangerous. Won't be back.

Pizza was thin and crisp, though it might not have passed as authentic in Italy. When they say large they mean large pizzas. Toppings were good.

We got there just as they opened, firts customers of the day, so we were expecting that we would wait awhile for food, but we didn't. Delicious food. Very friendly waiter. I forgot to ask his name but he had a tattoo on his neck. If you are the owner of this facility this young man is worth investing in. We came back the same day later in the evening and he assisted us again. So we will go back there again because we already have 😊

Food was always great, been a customer for years. But came in to restaurant waiter look at me and I look at them. I had to get them first and get shouted at for a table and had to wait for a extra chair cause we was showen to a table with one chair. After being ignored by other waiters one finale asked if we had been helped. Ordered beer and food same time cause we was afraid of being forgotten. Also when we ppl of color was seated 3 ppl got up and took takeaways. Was weird and I got an awkward vibe.

Originally we wanted order to deliver, because it is advertised on google maps. Unfortunately not, then we where there and wanted to order, but they told us min waiting time of 60 minutes- sad but true. Would have been nice to taste their pizza, but at the end we felt not comfortable.

Just did takeaway pizza and coffee, both were great. Coffee prices were reasonable and pizza prices better than reasonable. Nice outdoor area and friendly service. This place is now on our list of restaurants for any visit or food stop in Swellendam.
