Very informative, very interactive, very well made museum, quite new, a small cafe and gift shop are inside too. A lot of info about Swiss Army history. Well worth the visit.

As over the year we have always wondered what was behind the fake rock. We thought it would be a 20 minute look around, well 3 hours later we finished, there was a lot of things to see and to was very hands on the operating theatre was brilliant good taste of Swiss humour

This a truly wonderful experience if you are interested in historical sites, especially pertaining to WWII. Not only is the site fascinating by itself but the first lady we met enthusiastically explained the historical relevance to Switzerland and guided us the best way to walk through the forte. It is also very interactive which makes it much more interesting. I could have stayed at the VR interactive game all day to the dismay of my wife. If I did it again, I would have visited the castle and the Forte of Chillon in the same day.

The idea that they have suppressed a water fountain to make people buy bottled water here is a shame otherwise the place is really worth visiting. This explains 3 instead of 5 stars. Again, shame!

One of the must visit museums in Switzerland. Its right across Chateux De Chillon. Wonderfully curated and good exposure for a feel of overt swiss army forts. Must totally recommend staff. Warm and friendly and very informative 👌

Highly recommended. Very interactive, fun for both adults and children (got to aim a real cannon and heavy machine gun). Information available in all popular languages. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Stumbled on this completely by mistake if I'm honest... but it was fantastic. The whole family had a ball. Great historical stories of Switzerland in war time through the ages, VR games and interative exhibits. Thoroughly recommended fir visitors and residents. My son had an amazing time. 1st class.

What a gem! I very much enjoyed my visit there. This new museum has been prepared with so much attention to detail. There's lots of old equipment and weaponry to see with video installations and sound effects. Lots to explore and a great place for kids and adults alike. I spent two hours there and was entertained and educated on Swiss history at the same time. The visit needs some planning ahead as there are certain time slots you have to show up but it can be easily combined with a visit to Chillon Castle which is just on the opposite side of the road. Highly recommended!

Very interesting museum of a former fort, directly opposite the Chateau Chillon. The tour through the exhibition using a map is well designed and supported by multimedia (including funny and interesting videos). It gives a good feeling of purpose of the fort and how living was like trough the decades of use.
