Delicious Chinese restaurant with incredibly welcoming staff. Best of all: authentic, spicy hotpot! Opened this month (Oct, 2022), we visited Royal Panda on a weekday night to try out their hot pot. It was amazing. Not only the Szechuan style hotpot is actually *very* spicy, instead of other water-downed versions, it tastes genuinely well. One meat and vegetables plate was good for two people (though we don't eat a lot). There was a nice vibe, with quite a few people for a Tuesday, but still enough room to not need booking in advance. The service was incredibly attentive and friendly. The owner came by to ask if everything was fine. They were so kind that, as they saw us struggling with how spicy it was, they changed half of the hotpot from Szechuan to classic soup. They made us feel welcome. Prices are slightly higher than other Chinese restaurants, but on par with most Zurich places. Without starters, the hotpot was more than a fair deal (one meat + veggies plate 48 CHF). Quality of food and service makes it more than worth it, in my opinion. Strongly recommend. Can't wait to be back and taste more dishes!

Let me start by saying that the food is excellent. Large portions, full of flavour and high quality products. The owner / server was very nice. Just the price. My god, the price. We ordered water, dumplings, main dishes for all and a desert. We paid 55 CHF per person. It's not a Michelin star restaurant, the place is nice but nothing special and the location is right on a noisy street. Yes, it's Zurich and prices are high (to a tourist) but still. Again, the food was very very good. For a more modest price, I would definitely go there more while staying in town.

I had the pleasure of dining at this Chinese restaurant and it was an exceptional experience! The food was not only incredibly delicious but also authentically prepared, bringing a true taste of China to my plate. Amazing and authentic Chinese restaurant! We made a reservation beforehand which turned out to be the right choice. Every single table was booked! We ate our meal surrounded by the sounds of idle Chinese chattering and the sizzling of meats and vegetables. The meat was tender and flavourful while the vegetables were able to absorb all the spices and juices! The service was friendly and our food was made very fast! I think we had a waiting time of about 10 minutes for our shared dish with an appetizer. The atmosphere is very idyllic, cute and tasteful. But what really speaks for this place, meaning I’m not alone in my opinion, were the many, many Chinese and Asian customers, who seem to flock to the tasty food like busy bees to flowers. Dining here was a wonderful experience!

This is the best Chinese food restaurant in Zurich which I am willing to come here for dinner with Uber.

The service is amazing. I by mistake ordered the wrong beef and the owner / manager was kind enough to get me the dish I wanted and at the same time offered the dish I had ordered wrongly and dint charge me for it . I have been ordering and also dining at the restaurant regularly and love their food and awesome service. Every time I have visited with family or friends we have enjoyed.

Very attentive customer service and a gastronomical delight. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed with big smiles from the entire staff. We ordered a quick first round of spring rolls and royal fried rice (we had our young children with us). The spring rolls were standard but the rice was great. Our children devoured both despite being picky eaters and both feeling a little under the weather. The waiters allow us parents the time to pick and choose with no time pressure, only big smiles. We eventually settled for the baby squid as a starter along with beef on a hot plate and Crispy duck. All very tasty and cooked to perfection. The online menu with clear pictures aided us in our decision making which was very helpful. The owner was present and greeting all guests with a personal touch which was much appreciated. We will be back! Next time I’m getting the hot-pot which looked amazing!

Nice asian restaurant with very affordable lunch buffet. Fresh veggies, tasty stir fried noddles, delicious beef etc… and very kind service! Will definitely go again 👍🏻

Really good Asian food in Zurich. The spicy beef dish and the shrimp with peppercorn and chilis are worth a try for everyone who likes spicy food.

Good place for hotpot in cold weather, speedy and polite service. The only problem is the table is way too small if you order a hotpot and the noice level in the restaurant a bit too high.

If you haven’t eaten here before you died, you messed up. This food is INCREDIBLE. I literally cried at one point because the food was that good. Ordered the royal fried rice, noodles, hunan style roast crispy duck, beef cooked in broth, pork dumplings, and broccoli cooked in ginger. The pictures speak for themselves. My only regret is not having a bigger stomach. A great restaurant run by great people with great food. Eat here eat here eat here.
