Arosa Bärenland is a magnificent laying bear sanctuary for bears that are saved out of horrible conditions. When you enter the bear sanctuary, you first go through an educational hallway, where you can learn about the misery these rescue bears have gone through before getting their new lives at Arosa. Then you enter the platform, from where you can walk a bridge and hope to spot some bears. The animals have a lovely habitat here, with lots of space, trees, waters to bathe in and more. That means you might have to practice some patience to see the bears, as they can hide if they don't feel like being seen. Wonderful spot, able to reach though a gondola or by a walk up the mountain. Definitely worth the visit and don't forget to donate a few franks so that more bears can get a wonderful life like this!

Komme gerne wieder.

Finally got to see the magnificent bears of Arosa. The bear park is well maintained, the the bears have so much outdoor space to walk around in, play or even have a bath. Really nice to see 🐻❤️

An amazing project to rescue the bears from hard conditions. One bear was held in circus and abused very badly. There are 2 bears living there now are seems happy. The guide who is a german girl was very nice and explained well about this initiative. They don't want to name the bears and want them to let them to be wild and free as its supposed to be, which is very impressive. There is a hanging wood bridge which is a nice experience to walk through and enjoy the swiss Alps panoramic views. There is also a restaurant next to the Bärenland. And you can get down to Arosa town by hiking down through the eichhörnliweg arosa. It's also a good place to bring the kids. They have a museum where they have the graphic pictures of the past life of these rescued bears which is totally optional to visit. But I highly recommend this place. Especially in summer time.

A beautiful project to rescue bears from cruelty. Lovely place, really informative. You find out all about eurasian brown bears: what they eat, their typical activities throughout the year, etc, as well as watching them interact and move through a beautiful natural environment. There are four bears at present. There is an introductory section and then you go out to see the bears from a platform and an "adventure " Walkway. These bears have suffered so much, and the sanctuary gives you their back story. So it's wonderful to see them so well looked after. I highly recommend a visit. Great for kids too and totally wheelchair accessible.

Small exhibition in the beginning. Otherwise, bits& pieces of information about the bears. The bears were out quickly and coming really close. The bridges give an awesome view over Arosa, especially in autumn. The entrance is for what you get too much( 12.- in combi ticket with gondola 20.- CHF) . Souvenirs are also pricey. For kids it's the playground is a bigger highlight.

Fantastic experience, it had snowed the night before and the ground was icy and wet; the bears loved the weather so got very lucky spotting them all! Highly recommend.

Tolle Anlage. Der Eintritt beträgt für einen Erwachsenen inkl. Berbahnticket (2 Fahrten) 20.-.

First thoughts were bad... thought that it was far too little space for the bears... Then went there, found out why the RESCUE bears were there, and realized how cool and valuable it was. Really good exhibition of bear facts and really worth the visit!

A super nice place where rescued bars can enjoy their life. A great cause to support & visit to discover a wild animal that nowadays is struggling to find its place in the wild. Well done!

Amazing place, stunning scenery, and the experience of watching the bares from close proximity is a special, delicious food and cakes in the restaurant at the top at an elevation of 2600 metres.

Great place to view the bears at and also do the cable car ride to the top of the mountain and enjoy the scenery.

While this is likely a wonderful experience in the warmer months, don’t expect to see any bears during winter. They are hibernating. This is not mentioned on their website despite having open hours in the Winter.

👍 Great ski resort for families or groups with different ski levels. There are many beginner runs, but also many nice reds and blacks. Wonderful views, and we were very lucky with the weather when we visited. Also has a few groomed winter hike trails which don't require the use of snowshoes.
