I recently enjoyed a delicious goat cheese and honey sandwich from Dan's Lab. Not only is the food really tasty, but Daniel is a wonderful host, who brightens every day with his warm smile. Definitely worth a visit when you're in Basel!

It has been tough to find the right café in Basel, but this new one is hitting all of the right marks. Super local, friendly feel, proper cappuccino, flaky pastries, and even some more decadent desserts if you’re feeling cheeky. But the sandwiches are my favorite: goat cheese with figs, honey, and handmade almond pesto for example. Definitely worth a try!

Super gut flat white

Came across this sweet cafe by accident - what a find! Delicious coffee and lots of vegan options (gipfeli, sandwiches etc). The pumpkin sandwich was probably the best sandwich we've ever had!! The store connected to the cafe also had lots of high quality Basel-inspired gifts such as posters, prints, and postcards. They also sold some stylish/artistic items such as jewelery and candles that would make great gifts for friends and family. Definitely recommend checking out this store/cafe if you're in Basel!
