A hotel with great view but NOTHING ELSE We are a family of 4 and were staying at Adelboden Suite for 4 days 3 nights in June 2023. What went wrong during our stay? 1. Our door lock system failed every 24 hours. 2. Phone in the room was not working during our entire stay. Both were communicated to the front desk from the beginning. All agents we spoke to promised us that they would send a technician to fix the next day, but we didn't see the technician until when we had to show that we were really upset (on the 3rd day or by the last night), and the technician fixed only the door lock system. That also meant that we had to down to the front desk every morning to replace our key cards and complain, because the phone in the room was simply not working. 3. Ill-mannered front desk. 4. Inappropriate response from GM/Hotel Manager. The front desk agents were on shift. It means that we had to repeat our complaint every single time. It was surprising to see each agent appeared to be unaware of the situation. Furthermore, when we requested to speak to the agent who we just explained the situation to 5 minutes ago, the agent was in the separate room next to the front desk but refused to come to us. We had to speak to the agent because her solution to opening our door didn't work, and we simply didn't want to explain our situation again to another agent. Only at the check-out, we were offered to meet the GM/Hotel Manager. But his response was rather disappointing. To quote, "Tell me, what's wrong?" - You should have been made aware by now. "What do you want? A discount?" - Yes, we complained about there was no effort perceived by us from the hotel team trying to recover their poor service, and we stayed long enough (3 nights) for the team to respond. But to ask us this, at the check-out, how humiliating - to make our experience sound so cheap!

Finding a stylishly furnished hotel in the mountains is very rare & we got lucky to find The Cambrian. The interior & rooms look great, everything is a fit from pictures on the walls, to couches, to dining tables. The outdoor pool offers a fantastic view into the valley with the many waterfalls right in front of you (only downside: pool closes at 9pm already which is super early!). Food in the restaurant was great too! An amazing experience from A to nearly Z - the front desk employees were not that great (seemed confused, slow, not professional), you‘d expect a different customer service for such a hotel.

The property is well-kept and everything looks modern. The views are amazing from the veranda and it was my favorite place to be at sunset with some drinks. The pool area can be crowded at some times. Try to go when they open in the morning or the last hour. We used it three times out of four nights we were there and we loved it! The breakfast was delicious and plenty. The staff are amazing. Special thanks to Amara who who was so sweet and thoughtful. She gave us many recommendations of places to visit and was so patient in answering all my questions. The rooms are very clean and fresh everyday. The bathroom size was big and the shower had a good pressure and soft water. We didn’t have the panoramic room so our room was on the 3rd floor facing the street. We have to open the windows to allow fresh air and it was really noisy with the sound of people, cars, motorcycles, etc. We requested for a fan and we closed the windows the next night and it was so much better. The rooms don’t have AC. I will definitely spend for the panoramic rooms next time!

A haven away from home, tranquil, serene, understated and brimming with elegance. A terrace view that is second to none that wraps itself around crisp service with a smile topped off with a daring kitchen that serves repurposed classics with a twist. What’s not to like?!

Our fifth visit to the Cambrian. We love the hotel and the area, this was the first time we visited with our 3 year old and the visit was perfect from start to finish. Staff wonderful and helpful as always, the rooms, the pool and the views are just stunning. See you again next year.

No faults. I have stayed here twice now and both times I have not had a single fault. Excellent customer service. Lovely hotel. Great views. Not that busy (I would expect somewhere like that to be crammed with people). Has parking. Great breakfast. What more could you want??

This place is exceptional! The view from the hotel is outstanding and totally unique. The interior is designed with a great style and quality. The rooms are of a good size, the beds are comfy. Plenty of choice for breakfast and also a tasty dinner. Though, most important for me was the personnel of the Cambrian who did their above and beyond to make our stay remarkable! Thank you, we will be returning again!

An unassuming, yet very modern and luxurious hotel in the heart of the Swiss Alps; the Cambrian cannot be understated. The rooms are true to Adelboden roots and pays homage to a traditional and breathtaking locale. The Spa is clean and refreshing! Spent two weeks here and could have stayed much longer!

I can’t express enough how lovely our experience was at The Cambrian. My partner and I will be talking about this for a lifetime. Starting with the service, it was nothing short of accommodating. The staff truly goes above and beyond to make you feel like royalty and to make sure your stay feels like a home away from home. They are so friendly and welcoming and want your stay to be as enjoyable as possible. The location is wildly unique and breathtaking due to the gorgeous Swiss Alps. The hotel is more or less at the base of the mountains and I would encourage anyone who places to stay here to book a south facing room with a balcony. If you do every morning and night you will have a panoramic view of the mountain right outside your window.

Amazing views, very well kept rooms, great spa overlooking the mountains, incredible food, delicious cocktails and most importantly the best hotel staff I have ever come across. If I could rate this 20/5 I would. Cannot put into words the experience we had staying at the Cambrian. Simply felt like royalty. Thank you to Neil, Kelly, Peter, Diana (and her cat champion :D), Chef Laura, and every single person that made our stay unforgettable.

We had an excellent stay at the Cambrian. The breakfast was delicious and they made eggs your way. The various food options were diverse and kept us trying new things. The room was beautiful with an excellent view of the mountains. The bed, bathrooms, and living room were all very comfortable and cozy.

I stayed 2 nights for leisure in a suite with mountain view. The view was absolutely amazing. I have to come back when there is more snow to get the full experience. The lobby was spacious and the view there of the mountains was amazing as well! We came for the pool, and it was absolutely worth it! The food at Bryn Williams was top notch! We were able to immerse ourselves in the hotel without ever having to worry about anything else! We have taken lots of pictures and videos, but I have to find good ones to make sure I don't sell the experience short! So i might post them at a later time.

Stunning place! We stayed there for three nights in July and loved this place. Beautiful, clean, friendly. Staff was great and all the receptionists, cleaning managers, waiters were friendly and nice. Food was good (both breakfast and restaurant / bar). Yes, restaurant is a bit pricey but I would say that most of the places in that area have similar price levels. Spa is small but cozy. Resting area there is really tiny and it could be a disadvantage in winter but it summer we didn't really spend much time there (also you can go and rest by the pool). I loved how our dog was treated there — you don't always see hotels that are really dog friendly: they provided us with spacious dog bed, and big water / food bowls. Some guests even took dogs to the breakfast. At the bar our dog was immediately served with water. I would love to come back. Something that I would improve: - adding some "adults only" times to the swimming pool would be great. - drinking water in the spa area was not refilled regularly enough, in my opinion

We are a family of 5 and stayed for three nights in August and it was a beautiful hotel with great, friendly service. The restaurant and pools were amazing and it is in a wonderful location. Will definitely come back and visit again.

Amazing hotel, modern, welcoming & helpful staff (regards to Amara 🙂) Beautifully designed modern all the hotel and the rooms, is good feeling being there! And last but not least outdoor pool and spa section is just out of the world ! Amazing view and relaxing view to the mountains and waterfalls from the outdoor pool 🤩, different spa options sauna, steam room ! Definitely will visit again very soon!

This is a true gem! Service of the highest quality, unfussed, efficent, friendly, helpful. Wonderful spacious rooms, comfy beds, top class spa facilities. Breakfast is superb... but.... staying here is ALL about the view. Totally breathtaking. Spend the extra on a mountain view rather than the front of the hotel. It is without comparison. Surrounding area is packed full of truly beathtaking vistas. Public transport is very good, prompt and reliable - but there is a temptation to just relax and enjoy the hotel's chilled ambiance. We will return. Soon....

A truly magical experience! We arrived late at night and as such could not see the views until that morning and let me tell you they are superb. Staff go above and beyond. Access to the slopes are quick and easy with a shuttle that'll drive you up. Breakfast was phenomenal with a variety of choices. The outside hot tub is connected to the indoor pool which is awesome. The amenities will keep you entertained for days!!

The Cambrian is the best spot in beautiful Adelboden for a summer weekend getaway. It has a modern relaxed vibe. Our room was nicely furnished and had great views. The staff were great help generally and specifically with our dog, providing a bed and water/food bowls in our room. We arrived late but were greeted warmly and still had time for an excellent burger and great drinks on the terrance watching the waterfall and stars as night darkened. The spa was awesome after three great mornings of hikes. Magdalena at the front desk was very knowledgable with her recommendations and great to talk to overall. Had a very nice dinner at Bryn Williams too. Overall, definitely a place worth returning!

The Cambrian was recommended to us by a friend and it did not disappoint! We found the place to have a very chilled vibe which is what you want when you are away. The facilities were very clean, everything was very well thought of, staff were extremely friendly and we loved the heated outdoor pool as well as everything we ate in the Restaurant. On Sunday there was a bbq which we were also lucky to have joined. We look forward to returning again and again :) Thank you for a lovely experience🫶🏼

Traveled with a small baby. The hotel was outstanding in supporting child needs. I booked the wrong room category and upon arrival the staff were so accommodating and we were upgraded on the very 1st opportunity with no extra fees to end with good time while being hotel guests. I come to this hotel since 10 years regularly. And the only thing I could say that the services are getting better every time Thanks for such a good accommodation and keep up the good work
