Great restaurant in Lauterbrunnen to try Swiss cuisine 😋 First the location is perfect in the wonderful nature of Lauterbrunnen with a great view 😀 The fondue 🫕 was extremely tasty and it was served with breat, pickles, and garlic 😋 Also another recommendation is ceaser salad. The presentation is great and the atmosphere is wonderful 😀 👌 Little bit pricey (for German prices) but it is worth it 👌

We ordered gnocchi and margarita pizza. The pizza was just okay but red pesto gnocchi were amazing. "Spicy" oil for the pizza was not spicy at all. Unfortunately the overall impression was ruined once we were seated by their water policy. We brought our own water bottles drinking water from a nearby spring. The waitress informed us that we are not allowed to have our own water. Interesting that in other reviews customers were upset that the restaurant charging for tap water and they replied that it was due to a glass washing cost. Since we didn't ask to wash anything for us, I'm curious what their reasoning was. We were not allowed to choose a table on a patio because the manager thought it was going to rain. However there were other people seated outside. We had to share a large table with other people. The gnocchi were so good that we decided to return. On Saturday night we were informed that all the tables are reserved. It was 7:15 and most empty tables were booked for 7. We went elsewhere.

Guys, the food is nothing special (the chicken was dry and tasteless, besides, the menu indicated that it was supposed to be a breast, but in the photo you can see that there is still a wing on the plate) and I was also surprised that they took money for tap water. I advise you to eat in the city center, at least there is a view there🤷‍♀️ Probably good for campers.

We came here for a much needed respite from a hike in the rain. I’m so glad we did. We indulged in the wonderful fondue. Pro-tip: order a pizza with the fondue and you can dip your crust in the fondue for an added bonus.

This is exactly the kind of place we were looking to find with some friends we met traveling. Good views, and great service, food was really good local fare, but still felt welcoming for tourists. Utilize the free parking! But also worth a walk to see the waterfall nearby.

Two of us shared a cheese fondue and a rosti. The food was nice and enough. The cheese fondue contained white wine, so it tasted a bit “bitter” to me at the beginning. As for the staff, they provided good customer service.

Although fairly pricey, the food is really quite good! Everything in Lauterbrunnen is expensive (think Disneyland prices), but the options at Weidstübil are unique, high-quality, and delicious. For dinner, I would definitely recommend getting a reservation as it gets quite busy since it is one of only a few places in town open past 17:00 (at least in the spring).

I am truly overwhelmed with their hospitality. I took their suggestions about the menu and they advised me the Cheese Fondue ( as I wanted to try this traditional food ) would be more than enough and it truly was ! The girl who served me ( I feel bad that I didnt ask her name ) was friendly . I wanted to smoke after lunch and they allowed me to go to the yard even with their occupied spaces. For me It was not only having lunch there rather I had a great quality time ! A 5 star from me !

Wow, the service was great. I love our server she was very happy. Since we did not have reservations and there were only 2 of us, I decided to go on the waiting list. What was nice is they had a tablet that was a no-show, and we got a tablet right away. I have no idea how to make a reservation ahead of time other than calling them. We can from the US and decided to pay the 100 per phone, so we had unlimited cell service. Works great.

Food was all burnt, from the thin-patty burger to the hard egg on the Rosti. Cold beer served by the amazing Carolina made the evening. We trekked all the way down from Wengen and won’t be back. But seriously, don’t eat here, it’s rating is just inflated being next to a campground where everyone ran out of canned soup and lunchables so think they hit a 5.0 on the first “meal” of their road-trip!🥴😢

My girlfriend got the char filet and it was truly the best meal we've had so far in switzerland (added picture) I had the burger with fried egg and French fries and it was absolutely delicious 9.6/10 Make sure you establish a reservation and you will have an amazing meal
