One of the best bakeries ever! It’s a tiny shop, nestled at the corner, with a large offering of baked goods from breads, pies, croissants, tartlets, and scones. They only allow one person inside at a time (so if you see a random line of ppl at the corner of town, this is why) and cash-only (they take both Swiss Francs & Euros). If you find yourself in Wilderswil or just passing by, you need to stop here!

We stopped here on our way to the Trümmelbachfälle and everything was amazing. What a gem of place. I did not get the woman’s name behind the counter but she was so knowledgeable and friendly. Our little group was overly impressed with the hospitality, amazing baked goods and the delicious iced coffee.

Super yummy and delicious for apricot tarts, croissants, chocolate au du pain, scone and cinnamon roll. Must come. Take train to Wilderswil and bus #105 n stop at Hotel Heimat and walk 1 mins.

Love this bakery! Croissants are amazing (but arrive early to get them as they are very popular). Their cakes are super yummy too. Today I got the scones: it did not let me down :)

We wanted everything when we were in the shop. The aroma and all look yummy. There is the best scone that I ever had. Coffee with vanilla ice cream is also recommended.

My visit to Roger’s Bäckerei has inspired my first ever google review! I received a very warm welcome and lots of help from Roger’s wife because everything looked and smelled so delicious it was hard to choose! Thank you for the most delicious Croissant of my life! I will be visiting as much as possible for the remainder of my time in Wilderswil :) If you are in the area, or even far away, a trip to the bakery is must!

The owner was incredibly kind and generous as she took the time to explain everything to us. Great place to try traditional German desserts and much more— we got some cakes and a cinnamon roll and everything was delicious. Would recommend completely

Hidden gem, found this bakery in Google reviews for its cinnamon roll. We walked there from the terminal and got there before they opened. Waited by the bridge until they opened them we stepped inside. We were welcomed with the sweet smell of the pastries. Wanted to try all of them but our stomach wouldn't be able to handle so much sweet. We got the cinnamon roll, the plum crumbs (if I remembered it right), and the croissant. My top fav was the crumbs, love it so much - not too sweet yet it was sweet enough. I saved the crumbs for bfast the next morning and it still tasted good - not soggy. Would def recommend this hidden gem if you ever stop by wilderswil.

Possibly the best croissant I've ever had, super duper delicious. Highly recommend! It also might be a bit confusing to drive into due to having no signs in the back, but the directions send you straight into the parking lot so just head on in.

Small hidden secret in Wilderswil! Backery is just a few minutes' walk from our lodging. The super flaky pan au chocolate and vanilla croissant were delicious. Awesome place to get your morning pastry fix.
