Best hotel I've stayed in years -- and I travel a lot! This is a small family owned hotel that's been in the family since the early 1950's. Service is friendly and top notch. Very clean with comfy beds. Lots of live plants, flowers, and interesting decor. If all this weren't enough, the food knocks it out of the park! Homemade everything. I'll have fantacies about the ice cream and desserts for a long time. It's worth going out of your way to stay here.

Visited for a week of hiking in the Aletsch region. Service was very attentive and friendly. Restaurant meals were very good and inventive. Rooms were clean with all the essentials. Wonderful Alpine decor and character. Nice outdoor patio area with great view and food/drink service. Across the street from the cable car down to the valley. Easy walk to grocery store, ATM, bakery, bars, etc.

We are traveling with a hiking group and had the great fortune of staying at this family run hotel. Wow! If I could offer 5 more stars for each of the above categories it would not be enough. Rooms were fresh, comfortable, quiet with spectacular view. Service was above and beyond. Staff somehow remembered individual preferences after the first day and thereafter all wants were automatically provided. Daniela and her team regularly inquired if there was anything more they could do to provide a memorable experience. Obviously I left very impressed, however, they earned it!

We stayed at the Waldhaus 5 nights on a hiking trip in June and really liked our stay. The room looked like it had recently been re done and the food was the best we had in our 2 weeks in Switzerland. I had, up to that point, been somewhat disappointed in Swiss beers. But they carry an assortment of 7 Peaks beers and the 7 Peaks Extra Stout is really good! That became my favorite been of our trip. We'd definitely stay here again!

Located just a few steps from the gondola this place is truly magical. If you can book it during last summer months you get a beautiful sunrise view in the morning. Breakfast is served with delicious breads and assortment of nice scented teas.

Our room had big windows and a covered deck. Our room had a good view of Bettmeralp and the mountains. The shower, sink and toilet were recently updated. They have a great room with a fireplace. We had breakfast and dinner and packed a lunch there 5 days. They have a great chef and the food was excellent. I especially liked the fresh fruit, variety of breads and homemade jams. They have additional outdoor seating with a view of the Matterhorn to enjoy a snack and drink. Enjoy!

Amazing hotel. Very kind staff, allowed us to keep our luggage in the room even after checking out. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Bettmeralp.
