Unfortunately
for
us
the
Ticino
did
not
live
up
to
its
reputation
for
lovely
weather.
Even
on
the
days
when
it
was
warm,
there
was
a
cool
wind
off
the
lake.
The
hotel
made
up
for
it
though!
The
service
was
excellent,
parking
our
car
in
the
outside
parking
rather
than
insisting
that
we
used
(and
paid
for)
the
inside
parking.
My
wife
has
to
have
dialysis
and
the
hotel
provided
the
taxi
service
-
once
in
a
big
Mercedes
that
made
her
feel
like
a
queen!
Breakfast
offered
a
good
wide
choice
-
the
one
weakness
was
that
the
device
which
was
supposed
to
keep
the
bacon
and
scrambled
egg
did
not
keep
the
food
very
warm!
The
hotel
is
a
very
dramatic
building,
with
incredible
painted
ceilings
which
have
been
preserved
even
whil
being
partially
covered
by
new
walls/partitions.
It
is
charming
and
very
comfortable.
Lifts
are
available
everywhere,
although
sometimes
the
way
through
is
a
bit
labyrinthine!
(but
you
get
used
to
it!
The
restaurant
is
very
good
with
a
lovely
view
of
the
lake.
The
gardens
are
lovely
at
this
time
of
year
(April)
with
some
spectacular
camelias
as
well
as
Japanese
cherries
and
magnolias.
We
will
happily
return,
perhaps
in
Autumn!
