Definitely one of the top restaurants in Villars! Cosy ambience and charming service completes one's experience of Swiss cuisine. The "fondue cellar" is not to be missed, and the patio is an excellent hangout during the warmer months. Pro Tip: The restaurant is only open half the week, so be sure to include a meal here in your itinerary.

Our first visit to Switzerland (for work purposes) and we were taken here for our evening meal. Had the Steak for my main and it was superb, the hubby had the cheese fondue which although I don’t like cheese I tasted and it was actually really tasty, for dessert I tried the strawberries and cream and again although I can’t stand cream this was superb, even finished all the cream off. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the place was clean and tidy. Would definitely come back when next in the area.

The fondue was ok, the quality of the meat very poor, the service completely ignorant and the prices even for Switzerland way too high for what you get. Not to be recommended

Delicious food, excellent service and a lovely authentic setting. The terrine de foie gras and the tartare de bœuf for starters were wonderful - good portions and a great start to the meal. It was however the Fondue with shallots which stole the show, a perfect mix and the best fondu that we have ever had. If you still have space, I'd highly recommend the Toblerone chocolate mousse and the Cafe Gourmand. The staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. They advised on local wine and digestif options, and made us feel very welcome. We look forward to returning again soon!

Pity there is no 0 start option! Beyond rud and disgraceful waiters. When booking, were told we had to leave before second service 20:45. Upon arrival 18:45, first thing we are told is you are 25minutes late and you should leave your table by 20:30… Our first raclette serve came after 30minute wait. At 20h31, while finishing coffee (i.e. we are on our wait out) we are ask to immediately leave… and by the way 350CHF price tag!! UNBELIEVABLE!!

Terrible service. Rude staff, long waiting times. We needed to wait 40 mins for one raclette and then kicked out (literally) after 1.5 hours - my tea was not even finished!

I love eating here, delicious traditional Swiss dishes. Always a lovely atmosphere, and excellent service.

I went with a group of friends to eat especially Fondue, we placed the order and it turns out that there was no bread, only potatoes. The service was average, definitely there are better restaurants in Villars.
