We
had
a
great
dinner
here
in
September
and
can
highly
recommend
the
Trais
Portas
restaurant.
It's
a
steak-house,
so
that's
obviously
the
main
focus,
but
there
are
other
options
on
the
menu
(on
the
day
we
were
there,
the
starters
included
a
fantastic
carpaccio
of
Bresaola),
including
vegetarian
choices,
in
case
your
party
includes
people
who
might
not
normally
dine
in
a
steak-house.
Our
main
courses
were
delicious,
well-prepared
with
local
produce
and
high
quality
ingredients.
Indeed,
we
were
eating
on
the
terrace
looking
out
over
the
pretty
kitchen
garden,
which
provides
many
of
the
ingredients,
so
some
elements
of
your
meal
have
no
"food
miles",
just
"food
meters"
straight
from
garden
to
kitchen.
Service
is
very
friendly,
good-humoured,
efficient
and
helpful.
We
were
served
by
Ralf,
one
of
the
business
owners,
who
was
happy
to
explain
and
advise
on
menu
options,
in
German
or
(excellent)
English.
You
definitely
need
to
make
a
reservation,
as
this
is
the
"smallest
restaurant
in
Scuol",
as
they
point
out
on
their
website.
It's
a
pity
the
website
seems
to
be
available
only
in
German,
so
English-speakers
might
not
be
able
to
discover
the
joys
of
a
great
dinner
at
Trais
Portas.
As
for
us,
Trais
Portas
is
definitely
on
our
"must
visit"
list,
next
time
we
are
in
Scuol.
