My
partner
and
I
recently
stayed
at
Stoos
Lodge,
and
while
our
overall
experience
was
very
pleasant,
there
was
one
significant
hiccup
that
prevented
me
from
giving
it
a
full
five-star
rating.
I
will
start
with
the
positive:
The
hotel
is
very
easy
to
reach
with
public
transport.
The
automated
check-in
process
was
smooth,
and
the
hotel
is
in
general
very
modern.
The
hotel's
central
location
was
ideal
for
our
needs,
making
it
easy
to
explore
the
area.
We
booked
the
spa
room,
and
it
was
delightful.
The
room
was
incredibly
spacious,
beautifully
decorated,
and
with
a
lot
of
character.
I
particularly
loved
the
hanging
chair
at
the
window.
It
was
impeccably
clean
and
offered
a
great
view
that
added
to
the
charm
of
our
stay,
plus
very
modern
equipment.
We
were
thoroughly
pleased
with
the
room
and
had
a
fantastic
time
there
during
our
stay.
In
terms
of
value,
we
found
a
good
balance
between
the
price
we
paid
and
the
structure
provided.
We
opted
for
the
breakfast,
which
was
a
good
experience,
the
price
was
correct
and
the
breakfast
offer
was
varied
and
tasty.
However,
the
one
issue
we
encountered
was
the
extreme
rudeness
of
the
restaurant
staff.
Our
unpleasant
experience
occurred
when
we
decided
to
visit
the
restaurant/bar
for
some
coffee
and
cake
around
21:30.
As
first-time
visitors
to
the
premises,
we
were
exploring
the
(very
large)
restaurant/bar
area
to
find
a
suitable
seating
spot.
We
were
not
causing
any
disruption,
nor
were
we
close
to
other
guests.
It's
worth
noting
that
the
hotel
has
a
family-friendly
atmosphere
with
kids
running
around
and
some
lively
music
at
the
bar,
which
was
not
a
problem
for
us.
After
being
there
for
no
more
than
1.5/2
minutes,
a
staff
member
approached
us
in
an
extremely
rude
and
aggressive
manner,
demanding
to
know
why
we
were
there.
When
we
explained
that
we
were
looking
for
a
place
to
sit
and
looking
at
dessert
options,
he
stated,
"we
are
not
a
museum
here,
so
no
looking
around;
you
are
disturbing
the
guests."
He
then
abruptly
showed
us
the
exit.
We
politely
mentioned
that
we
were
hotel
guests,
to
which
he
replied
that
we
were
disturbing
"groups"
(?).
This
encounter
left
me
feeling
threatened
and
humiliated.
I
have
never
experienced
such
treatment
in
a
restaurant
or
any
establishment
before.
While
we
understand
there
may
be
areas
reserved
for
groups,
it
is
the
responsibility
of
the
restaurant
to
clearly
designate
these
areas
or
instruct
staff
to
kindly
inform
guests
and
suggest
alternative
seating.
Such
an
approach
would
have
been
both
normal
and
respectful,
and
totally
understood
from
us.
Feeling
reluctant
to
create
a
scene,
I
used
the
hotel's
feedback
function
to
express
our
concerns
and
disappointment.
Regrettably,
we
received
no
response
or
apology
from
the
hotel,
even
after
our
stay.
This
lack
of
acknowledgment
and
accountability
for
their
staff's
behavior
is
disappointing
and
reflects
poorly
on
the
establishment.
Guests
should
not
be
subjected
to
such
treatment,
and
it
casts
doubt
on
the
hotel's
ability
to
handle
larger
events
or
conferences
professionally.
Until
the
restaurant
staff
receives
proper
training
in
hospitality
and
customer
service
(you
are
not
a
club
bouncer;
you
are
in
the
hospitality
business)
I
cannot
recommend
the
Stoos
Lodge
fully.
