Unfortunately, we were not able to visit the factory because we did not purchase tickets in advance. We found that the queue could take more than two and a half hours. We sat in the restaurant lounge and had some desserts. It was really delicious. We bought fresh chocolate and the coffee-flavored chocolate tasted amazing. The outside seating area is very nice and provides space for the kids to play and have fun. Really great experience. Don’t forget to purchase your tickets before you go 😊

This is a great stop to see in Switzerland! It is like entering the real world Charlie and the Chocolate Factory if it was filmed in the modern era. You go room to room exploring the history of chocolate and the development of the Cailler brand. You sample chocolate and flavors along the way. Absolutely a must see and must try place!

Ok this was FUN!!!! I felt like a kid. Chocolate express train picked me up and dropped me off right at factory. I bought tickets at the booth, no line and no wait for the tour. You get a radio according to your language. Then the tour begins!!! Loved the tour, chocolate process and the SAMPLES! I ate more than I should, but they were yummy. Bought some chocolate souvenirs on my way out! 🍫

I’ve had the chance to visit the museum, but what I loved the most was the experience of making chocolate for about an hour. I would 100% recommended as it is very worth it for just 25 Swiss Francs

A great place to visit and learn about the history of Swiss chocolate. Interesting narration. Some parts are interactive and at the end we could taste all different types of mass produced chocolates. It’s best to book a time beforehand as we had to wait 1 hour before we could enter.

This was awesome! A complete tour explaining the entire history of chocolate (in a fun not so boring way). You also get to see them making it. Virtually unlimited chocolate samples! And the hot chocolate at the cafe was truly incredible!

The Cailler factory offers a short but enjoyable tour of their chocolate making process. The tour is a little pricey for what you get at 16 francs, but it's still fun. You'll be greeted by staff, given an audio guide which comes in many languages, and then sent into some immersive rooms. You'll get to learn about the history of chocolate agriculture and distribution, then the history of Swiss chocolates, and finally get to sample Cailler chocolates. There is a major chocolate gift shop in the front as well. Make not of the train times as this is a small station. Also note the tickets online are timed, but you can purchase them in person as well. So just check ahead before arriving.

Absolutely outstanding experience! Our tour was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Not only did we enjoy a delightful journey through the history of chocolate making, but we were also treated to delectable samples at the conclusion of the tour. I cannot speak highly enough of this experience - it's a must for any chocolate lover visiting Switzerland! Booking tickets online is highly recommended due to the limited time slots available. With only 20 people permitted per 20-minute session, securing your spot in advance ensures you won't miss out on this extraordinary opportunity. This visit truly stands out as one of the most worthwhile experiences in Switzerland. As the oldest chocolate manufacturer in the country still utilizing milk instead of milk powder in their chocolate production, the heritage and quality of the chocolates here are unparalleled. Don't hesitate to make this part of your itinerary - you won't regret it!

Excellent experience! Tour was great. You get to try samples at the end. Couldn’t recommend enough. Mind you, the chocolate itself is 5 star. Wish it was sold directly in Australia!

This was a neat walkthrough experience with a good mix of history and factory. There was a ton of free chocolate/nuts on the tour and the tour was offered in numerous languages by individual audio controls. You can see the languages in the attached pictures. I highly recommend if you’re staying in the area or passing through. Kids and adults will enjoy!

A great fun little tour about how Cailler came about! They have a range of languages to accommodate everyone. I would suggest bring some wired headphones to connect to the ear piece otherwise you will be holding it to your ear for a good while which will strain your arm. They have a sensory room in which you can taste and smell the raw ingredients in the chocolate they make like vanilla. At the end of the tour you will have the opportunity to taste some varieties of chocolate. Although I have been told that the selection used to be much more vast and included discontinued lines so I was a bit disappointed. Overall a fun little experience!

Visited: Early June 2023. Free with Swiss travel pass. The tour of the factory are by small groups, around 6-8 person per group. It is audio self guided tour, where each group take turn to see each tour rooms, from the history of cocoa and maison chocolate, process of making, and distribution. Last part of the tour visitors can sample free chocolates. They also have Maison chocolate shop and souviners inside the factory.

Great outing for a family! The tour is very accessible and tells the story of the company's history, takes visitors through the factory to watch chocolates be made, and finishing off with a tasting room where visitors can try delicious, fresh chocolates.

We didn't go round the museum, instead we did a chocolate workshop which was amazing. The incredible multilingual chocolatier showed us how to make and decorate delicious bar and shaped chocolate of our choice then it was our turn. My bar and teddy bear efforts weren't as good as his but every bit as delicious! I would heartily recommend this experience to anyone young or old - it's great fun for all ages.

Fantastic chocolate factory tour with free tasting of many type of delicious chocolates produced by Cailler. A big pity that we don't get to buy this brand in Singapore. Free entry with Swiss Travel Pass.

Enjoyable hour-long tour of the history of chocolate and the Cailler brand. There are samples of almonds, hazelnuts, cocoa beans (if you’re brave) and chocolates. As someone who is less mobile than average, I would have appreciated more places to sit during the presentations. Unfortunately our experience of the cafe as also not great - we bought the vegetable soup, which was inedible.
