Great experience. Worth a visit if you are visiting the lion monument nearby. Possible to visit within 1h. Opens at 10am and closes at 5pm. Covered under Swiss travel pass. Interesting for those interested in geography. For those less geographically inclined, it is still worth a visit. The exhibitions are nice and there is a very beautiful vantage point of Lucerne at the top. Audio tour available. Download their app and scan the QR code at the different locations. Audio tour was nice.

We had a great experiance there. It was educational, interesting and fun. We were a large group, with ages ranging from infants to seniors and everyone had a great time there. I recommend allocating at least two hours for the visit. The highlight for me was the time cave, which also gives a great escape from the summer heat.

An interesting tourist attraction located right next to the famous Lion Monument, and definitely, a must-visit if you're visiting the monument. There is free entry for Swiss Travel Pass holders, otherwise you need to pay an entrance fee. The garden itself is quite huge, consistent of several different sections, including remnants of the glacier rocks that shaped Switzerland many years ago and a relaxing walk around greenery. Our favourite was the Mirror Maze, which was quite fun and interesting. The garden is also quite tourist friendly with many English information boards that teaches you the relationship we have we glaciers. Enjoyed our time here and highly recommend it.

Very interesting place. Don't miss out by visiting the Dying Lion Monument. It is interesting from a geological point of view, and it is pleasant to walk along a beautiful path in the rocks, and the views from there are very beautiful. You can use the elevator, but if you want to exercise and not miss anything along the way, will be better to take the stairs. Recommend.

Right next to the lion monument is the glacier garden. Depending upon your interest it’s worth visiting. It shows you how rocks flowed down with the glaciers over millions of year and then when the water dried up it left all these big boulders which they have maintained here over the years. They have also carved a small walk through the mountain which shows you the rock evolution and takes you up the hill exiting with a nice view of luzern. They have a cafe as well and a mirror maze for the kids. If you have the Swiss pass or museum pass it’s free, else there is an entrance ticket

I visited the place with my 3,5 yo. So much to do in 1,5 hour that we stayed. Great view of the city and a clever concept of the museum. We both loved it so much! ☺️

If you have 2 hours to kill in Lucerne, I would advise spending some time here. Kids will love it because of the activities. The displays are reasonably well curated, but there are some issues with the translations :) this can be overlooked though. The views at the top are great though!

It is such an amazing place that it was my first time to see such things. I enjoyed my time there. The cave of gaciers is amazing. The garden is near by the dying lion monument.

A canceled flight led to one of the most memorable parts of my trip to Switzerland. While trying to figure out what to do with the few hours we had in Lucerne, we stumbled upon the Glacier Garden of Lucerne. The Glacier Garden itself was a fantastic exhibit and a hidden gem of Lucerne. It offers a cool and historical view of how the earth has changed since the ice age. However, this is just a teaser of what was to come. Within the walls of the Glacier Garden is the mirror maze. The mirror maze is absolutely phenomenal. This is the best mirror maze I’ve ever done. The staff clearly take great care of this maze because I could not tell where the mirrors started and where the mirrors ended. We spent about an hour wandering and laughing our way through the maze only to come out in the same place that we went in. This maze is TOO good. If you successfully make your way through, be sure to check out the silly mirrors at the end. I think about this place often and will definitely go out of my way to make it back one day. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We were not planning this visit, but we were very glad we chose to enter the glacier garden. The mirror labyrinth is very fun for all ages, but the prize goes to the exhibition that takes place underground, inside a glacier. This exhibition is a journey through time like no other. We were left speechless on many occasions. In the end you are rewarded with an incredible view of the entire city of Luzern. There is also a museum with many very interesting exhibits, such as maps and historical artifacts of the area. One of the most interesting takeaways of the glacier garden, was the effect that the passage of time had on the area of Luzern.

It is a relic of the Ice Age, very spectacular and amazing. In addition, there is also a maze in the park, which is a bit scary. People who like it can challenge it. You can also walk to the top of the park and look out into the distance, which is very nice

Highly recommend a stop here if you're in the area. Many different aspects to this spot, whether it's the geological history, the views of the city, or the impressive mirror labyrinth. The must see item for me was the cosmophone tucked away inside the cave walk. Free for Swiss Travel Pass. I didn't include pics of the cave walk or the labyrinth because you gotta see those for yourself. My only feedback is the gendered language in some of their English captions are a little dated :)

Absolutely top class tourist attraction. The historic gardens are wonderful but the best thing is Felsen Weld - just opened in 2021. It’s an amazing piece of architecture , design and art. Highly recommended and a wonderful addition to the beautiful and interesting Glacier Garden.

So fun. Worth a visit if you are in Lucerne. I think kids would especially enjoy it. Lots to see, but the mirror maze and rock world were the highlights of my visit. With the rock world, you go through a dark and cool cave exhibit that tells the geological history through shimmering light projections on the walls. Mirror maze is just a blast. They did the decor in it and structured it so well.

Intriguing, well maintained place, with fossils and rocks from the pre historic stage. The house in the garden is worth a visit too - entire experience should take about 1.5 hours

I must say that this place surprised me quite a bit. The tickets are slightly pricey and from the entrance, it doesn't look like much but I was really wowed by the experience. If you are a science nerd, this should be a must visit. Fossilized rocks, glacier potholes, magic mirror rooms and a glacier cave with wonderful informative lighting are the highlights of this place. You can also climb a wooden tower with gorgeous views of the Lucerne city. Must visit if in Lucerne for more than a day since it's also next door to the dying Lion park. You can easily spend a couple of hours here.

Firstly, tickets are 22 CHF for adults, 17 for seniors and students, 12 for kids. Secondly, Expect to spend about 2 hours here. We ran into this place by accident after seeing the lion monument. The glacial park was the most wonderful surprise. We loved everything about this place. The mirror labyrinth is absolutely phenomenal. The tunnel was an amazing use of projectors, concrete and cave networks. So much fun, so much history.

Surprisingly large amount here! Lots of geographical history. A small museum about the people who opened the gardens, a cave walk with scientific information, a short film about Switzerland over the centuries and a great little cafe/gift shop.

Wirklich toll gemacht.

Wonderful tourist attraction. It is certainly worth a visit. You will not only learn a lot about how the glaciers helped form the geography of Switzerland, but you will have a great time as well! We loved the Labyrinth, and the tour through time!

Don't let the name mislead you! This is so much more than a glacier museum. The rock cave and mirror maze were extraordinary! Highly recommended to anyone, kids to adults.

Disappointed, dont waste your funny. Stay outside and take a picture of the lion. It was so expensive for a short little walk, with some information. A little ol museum and mirror maze was the o ly thing interesting. My daughter was disappointed since all the waterfalls and water things were shut off.

Super gemacht mit vielen interessanten versteckten Orten. Der Museumsteil, das Schweizer Haus, das Spiegellabyrinth ... Alles ist wunderbar. Trotz des Regens hatte ich eine tolle Zeit.

I recommend a swiss travel pass as entry is free then! But even if you have to pay this place is worth every single swiss franc! The scenic views are just the cherry on the top! The science underground of how earth formed - just amazing . The crazy wall of mirrors - just amazing. Words really cannot describe just how great this place really is. Truly a remarkable place with just so much to see within these gardens. There is also a place to stop and eat and enjoy the views!

Much more there than you may first think. Well worth visiting the museum in the house, spread out over several floors. The Mirror Maze is good fun and the cave area is excellent. The more time you spend here, the more you will get out of it.

Nice little place, history of the town and a little geology mixed in. Well worth the visit. We came in the morning so not very crowded. Right next to the lion monument.

This place is a hidden wonder in Lucerne. It’s very well designed to keep things interesting for all age groups. It feels like you are travelling through the time at this place, some of the animations were so good that they gave me goosebumps. Plus you get a great view from the top
