I'm going to write this in English for those expecting mothers who might be considering giving birth here but whose native language is not German. My first language is English and I'm still very much learning German and I will admit that I was nervous to give birth in a country where I might not understand what is going on around me, which would be the case in a hospital or birth house. That being said, I am so very thankful that I didn't let that stop me from choosing to give birth here. I cannot recommend this birth house enough! Despite being away from "home" in a new land, I felt so very much at home here. The language wasn't a problem at all. The midwives are excellent. Warm and professional. Thanks to their care and the environment they set up, I was totally able to relax and, dare I say, enjoy the birth. It was an extremely empowering experience. And the Wochenbett care was excellent too. I feel that I recovered so much quicker after this birth than my first and I credit that to the care given during my stay there. The food is excellent, the midwives are so helpful and knowledgable and there for you 24/7 and all that the mother is left to do is rest, snuggle her baby and rest some more. If you are considering a natural birth or even just the Wochenbett, I would highly recommend you look into their care.

Amazing place. I couldn’t be happier and can’t imagine giving birth anywhere else. The support I was given during my long and complicated birthday and also postpartum was just incredible. Every single midwife was very helpful and with her own tips and advice regarding breastfeeding and postpartum care. Highly recommend!

Run away!!! I've had the worst experience ever, they never wanted to prepare me for birth, always telling me "don't worry, we will coach you during birth" which didn't happen. During the birth, they waited too long before bringing me at the hospital so I had to go... By taxi! With the baby head down! I might be very unlucky but I had 2 midwives, Ruth and Simone who were really uncaring and leaving me without coaching. I had much more support and coaching from the midwife when I arrived at Uster Spital. Just unbelievable!

I can't recommend this place enough: The midwives treated us and our newborn with so much love and care, I couldn't have imagined better support before, during and after the birth. In addition, the place feels like a home and the food is super tasty!

Wir haben das Wochenbett im Geburtshaus sehr genossen. Wir wurden rundum betreut und haben viele wertvolle Tipps erhalten. Die Hebammen sind alle sehr kompetent und geben einem Sicherheit und zeigen einem einfühlsam den Umgang mit dem Neugeborenen. Wir können den Aufenthalt im Geburtshaus nur weiterempfehlen und würden bei einer erneuten Schwangerschaft wieder hierhin zurück kommen. Herzlichen Dank auch an die Küche für das fenomenal gute und ausgewogene Essen.

Einen schöneren Start in den neuen Lebensabschnitt als Eltern hätten wir uns nicht vorstellen können. Ich fühlte mich während der ganzen Geburt sehr wohl und in sicheren Händen. Unsere Betreuung war stets in der Nähe und hat mir mit Ruhe, Geduld und Einfühlvermögen viel Vertrauen und Kraft gegeben. Auch im Wochenbett wurden wir kompetent begleitet und durften unglaublich viel lernen und mitnehmen. Dabei war die Atmosphäre wie zu Hause und gleichzeitig wie in einem Hotel:-) Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und den Austausch mit anderen Familien haben wir sehr geschätzt. Wir sind begeistert und danken dem Team vom Geburtshaus Bäretswil von Herzen für ihre wertvolle Arbeit.

Die Betreuung während der Schwangerschaft, Geburt und Wochenbett war eine ganz besondere Erfahrung. Die ganze Familie wurde durch das Geburtshaus-Team liebevoll umsorgt und wir fühlten uns immer sehr wohl. Sehr schade, dass die Zeit vorbei ist. Für eine weitere Geburt würde ich das Geburtshaus Bäretswil nochmals wählen. Vielen herzlichen Dank für alles!

I was lucky enough to be able to give birth to my first son at the Geburtshaus in September. It has been a wonderful experience both for me and my partner: we felt supported, reassured and competently assisted. We believe our son too appreciated the loving cares of all the Hebamme, the quite and friendly environment of the house and the tasty food.
