Had dinner with friends at Lodge79 last night on February 24th. At first I had a bit of trouble making a reservation for us. But we were welcomed very nicely by Caro. Our wives both ordered a beef tartare with house bread toast. For us men, a Schnägge Pfännli with beef cubes, Café de Paris butter and house bread, a breaded schnitzel with lodge fries, and a pork schnitzel in mushroom cream sauce with homemade spaetzli came to the table. Since everything is freshly prepared, it does take some time. All menus were very good and we enjoyed them. The service was also very nice and we had fun with her too. This was our first time eating at the lodge, but certainly not the last time.

The place is hidden, but it's easy to hide. You can park in front of the entrance. The restaurant is very nice and furnished with great taste. The ladies who wait at the tables are very kind and the food is good.

Caro & Cristina greet every guest warmly and personally, are happy to have fun and provide cozy and rustic places inside and outside. The cuisine is hearty, honest and good. The dressage club and the dog school next door ensure that there is also “cat content”.

For our hiking club's Christmas dinner we were looking for a place where we could get a raclette for lunch. We found this with Lodge 79. At our request, those participants who didn't want cheese were served a selection of meat, which could then be sizzled on the table grill. We received excellent service, everything was perfect and we had a great afternoon that everyone really enjoyed. Thank you very much !!!
