If you love toys this is the museum for you. I came here because I make dollhouse miniatures in 1:12 scale. I was looking for inspiration and this place didnt disappoint me. There were not so many people when we came here and it was on a Saturday, so we could enjoy each exhibit without being disturbed. The entrance fee was also cheap. Definitely coming back here if I needed more inspiration.

I find this museum a little odd. I’m not sure who the target audience is meant to be. I went there with my 2 year old and a friend with a 3 year old and the children were clearly not so welcome. There is a very tempting gift area as you enter the museum with loads of breakable things on the floor and on low shelves. It’s not an area easily avoidable and so naturally the toddlers wanted to go and see. And were hissed at and harshly spoken to by staff if they even went near something. Hardly a warm welcome.
