I'm a huge fan of the Museum. The collection is great, with modern art and a Garden with statues and installations that are always impressive. They have a nice cafe too, but the best part is that it has temporary exhibitions that range from stunning to jaw-dropping!

Beautiful museum internationally renowned. The exhibitions are changing fairly often. The building itself as well as the surrounding park are gorgeous. A bit costly and the place can get pretty overcrowded during weekends.

The Beyeler is a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon. They always have great exhibitions. The gardens around the museum are meticulously cared after and feature great sculptures. If you are under 25 entrance is also free!

A small museum on size but with the highest level of modern painting from the most famous artists. A series of well organized top exhibitions though out the year. The building itself is also a piece of fine art and well integrated into the nature environment. It’s free admission to all below 26 years old.

The Foundation Beyeler is a must visit if you are in the Basel/ Zürich area. I have been there already multiple times, and I was never disappointed. I have seen many different exhibitions from Picasso, Mondrian to Basquiat. If the exhibition is popular I always book my ticket in advance. The museum has two floors, a gift store right by the entrance. If the weather allows you can visit the beautiful museum garden. There is also a cafe that is accessible through the gardens

(Translated by Google) The museum in the heart of Liestal offers always great, varied exhibitions for young and old. The restaurant, housed in the museum, is ideal for a coffee. I can highly recommend a visit to anyone. At the reception the pass for the museum night can be solved.

We had to take two different trams to the Fondation Beyeler, but it seems easier than getting a cab. This place has one of the best Picasso exhibitions I’ve ever seen! It was beautifully presented and audio guides gave a great insight to each artwork. Outside the compound is also just as beautiful. We some guests sitting on the grass and just enjoying the scenery.

Did someone say Picasso Collective? How about Monet? This museum has hosted some of the greatest artwork ever to grace the modern world. This place is a treasure. I’ve seen works of art I thought I would only dream about seeing. Accessible to all with delightful breathtaking architecture overlooking the French and German countryside. If you like art this is on par with the Peggy Guggenheim museum in Venice.

the place to visite during his stay in Basel, or for the locals to come for each new exhibition. It is almost no longer to present this great foundation . We always have the chance to see great works in a so special environment, thanks to the architect Renzo Piano. The park is pleasant just to walk around without paying an entrance fee or eating at the restaurant present. In the summer the park is also brought to life with various events. In the foundation you will also find a store with a nice selection of decorative and non-decorative objects, as well as beautiful books. I can only recommend this place for all art and architecture fans.

Fantastic museum for modern/contemporary art. We caught the Mondrian exhibit, which was really eye-opening, showing his progression in style. The room with a giant Monet juxtaposed with a Gerhard Richter piece is another highlight. The architecture and design of the building itself is also very cool, and there are some pleasant outdoor spaces associated with it as well. The museum is very easy to get to via bus.

Top choice for area museums and of global stature. Excellent permanent collection of classic modern and contemporary art; world-class (and frequently unique) exhibitions. ‘Manageable’ as the museum space is easily explored thoroughly in 60-90 mins. The Renzo Piano designed building and cultural landscape warrant a visit on their own.

Good area easy to look everything. Sad there underground floor was not open. I was tempting to see how all the building looks like in the inside. One thing is because there collection is good to go but it is quite expense for the amount you’ll see in it. Only one floor museum. Feels like five galleries are combined in one floor which it takes like a hour to see everything

It is one of many beautiful museums in Basel. Besides enjoying the visual of art pieces, the visitors would enjoy taking a walk around here. It's relaxing and refreshing being at Fondation Beyeler in Basel, Switzerland.

Visited Foundation Beyeler on a sunny Spring day and it could not have gone any better. The art museum was hosting a Wayne Thiebaud exhibition at the time of my visit. The exhibition was exceedingly beautiful. I liked that the description of notable paintings were printed on little pamphlets in various languages so you didn't need to crowd the painting to read more about it. The museum building had nice architecture and open windows and the garden was a pleasant place to rest or draw.

The Hopper exhibition was great in terms of the selection of artwork, but it was a shame that the curation was very weak. There was no meaningful information or clear organisation of the spaces to allow a deeper engagement with the artwork or the artist. The written guide was superficial, solely descriptive and lacking any insight, critique or analysis. All of that would have been fine as the art was still wonderful to see, but on top of this the staff at the ticket desk were fantastically rude, unhelpful and unwelcoming. Furthermore, it was sad to note the very poor maintenance (damaged floors and faulty lighting) and tasteless addition of cheap sofas and pot plants to a stunningly designed building.

World class! Absolutely fantastic works of the masters on permanent display, but I happened to catch “The Young Picasso” and it was absolutely brilliant! Students get a discount, however, if you happen to be a returning student and over 30, you will not receive one. I went during the time of ART Basel (early in the morning before ART Basel opened, which apparently many people also did) and they didn’t ask if I had a ticket for ART Basel when I purchased my ticket. It turns out that one would have received a 50% discount for this. How would they know if they don’t ask? I randomly found out through a friend. (Every cent counts for students—above and below the age of thirty!) Anyway, it was good at what it was for. Make art more accessible NOW so you’ll have patrons when we get older. If we can’t access it now, we will NOT suddenly become aficionados at 70.😉

(Translated by Google) The museum is run with great commitment and in a cheerful manner. The house is a friendly place that covers the history of the canton of Basel-Landschaft. Individual exhibitions are extremely child-friendly / workshops work in models etc. The catering options are limited and determined by the machines available. The house is well developed for the disabled, elevator, toilet etc everything is ok. A few more seats for older or weak visitors would be nice.

Quite a journey to reach the fondation Beyeler from the centre of Basel. All this to only have access to one exposition of Doris Salcedo, a painting of Rousseau and two of Picasso. It was disappointing that the other exposition was only open for invited people on a Saturday.

Fabulous building, fabulous collection! The galleries are large with plenty of places to sit and browse exhibition catalogs. The guide to the exhibition I saw was written very straightforwardly which really enhanced the experience. A lovely place to visit, in beautiful grounds. Easy to get to by bus or tram from central Basel. You get 50% off if you have a Basel card

when we visited half of the museum was closed for a new artist, however what was open was amazing. lots of paintings with large windows that bring in lots of natural light. seating is available to overlook the views, where you can later walk around and go to a cafe. definitely recommend.

As the Wasserfallen cable car was not open and we were with a young child, we decided to return to Liestal for a good long walk around the beautiful town. We popped into this museum, cost 8 Swiss francs for an adult. Wasn't expecting a whole lot, but it wasn't too bad at all. Had 4 floors with different themes,, on sport, on fashion, on wildlife and nature, and roman ruins and local history. Was very informative and quite interesting, and a bit quirky as well. Was good to kill an hour or so................

(Translated by Google) I read earlier that this museum should be very child-friendly. That's why I went there with my 5-year-old child and we were not disappointed: the "Baselbiet" exhibition in particular was designed so beautifully and lovingly for children. Children can discover the environment there in an exciting way, e.g. with flashlights in a dark room. The other exhibitions are also exciting and also offer interesting intermediate stops for quite young children.

(Translated by Google) Even if you can ask yourself with some pictures or objects, as in art in general, whether this is really art, you can hardly find as much excellent art anywhere else as in Riehen. The building alone is worth a visit. I can also highly recommend the excellent guided tours. (Original) Auch wenn man sich bei einigen Bildern oder Objekten, wie in der Kunst generell, fragen kann, ob dies wirklich Kunst ist, findet man anderswo kaum so viele exzellente Kunst wie in Riehen. A very pleasant museum, clean with friendly staff. The art is very interesting and there are some explanations in English, German and French for some of the art. The Georgia O'Keeffe exhibition was very well presented. There are also some surprisingly cheap gifts in the shop and a beautiful park outside!

Good exhibition but I was a bit surprised there was no written information only audioguide. I suspect this is so everyone moves at the same speed but I'd rather read on 15 seconds then spend time with my own thoughts than have to listen to the same content over 2 minutes. Some of the paintings had highly reflective glass which made it impossible to see them fully 🙄

Tucked away in the Swiss border city of Basel, Fondation Beyeler is a 25 min bus ride from the train station(luggage storage available). It has a well curated collection that goes on rotation. The ticket costs 27CHF as of Aug 2022!!

We didn't go into Fondation Beyeler but instead did the free 24 Stops walking tour which starts here and goes into Germany to Vitra Campus. The Maps are available from the kiosk. Highly recommend.

Splendid space set in a wonderful garden that backs up to truly picturesque pastures and hills. The building, designed by Renzo Piano is a pleasure, giving ample light and space for the curators to present the collection, whether from the permanent collection or visiting works being shown at the moment. Special commendations to all those that made the current Wayne Thiebaud retrospective possible!

Impressive collection and exhibition space. The Niko Pirosmani exhibition was a highlight. Definitely worth a visit.
