Friendly staff but as other reviewers have mentioned, they are suspiciously keen on hustling for cash payment which gives off a bit of a dodgy vibe incongruent with the surroundings. It would be better to run a completely legitimate business on the surface and keep whatever else is going on behind the scenes in my opinion.

Day out in Solothurn, meeting of friends, was early so decided to hit this bar and watch some of the game between Switzerland V Wales. Service was quick and I tried some of the local Oufi beer, which was cold and looked good. To be honest I would say I'm not a fan of the pale lager, just a bit too sweet for me. Not many were inside looking at the game, which was just as well as it wasn't great to watch. More outside enjoying the mid day sun. Met a fellow mad irish man so had the chat over more beer for a good while. One thing that was a bit annoying. One of the bar men, well i should say boy, who was serving me all day, and was courteous, when his shift had just finished (unbeknownst to me), I happened to ask him to pull me another pint. His mood and demeanor changed, as if he was just acting beforehand, and barked at me that he wasn't working any longer. I am literally talking about minutes here. Very rude, does he not like his job?. He was damn lucky I was in a very good mood or id have shown him some of my footballing skills, the little pup! It was a pity as it left a sour taste in the mouth. That and its not a real irish bar, tsk.

What a lovely pub from the drink choices to the food and all the staff are very friendly there is no better place to go in Solothurn than here get yourself in and enjoy!

Everything under 20 CHF needs to be in cash. Can’t even sum up a few orders into one to get past the threshold. And that’s 2022 we are talking.

I walked into this Irish bar in Solothurn, I was immediately welcomed and made to feel at home, my Grandfather was Irish, and I love the old country, as much as Switzerland ❤️ but to my absolute pleasure and surprise I was able to get a pint, Kilkenny with a top up of Guinness, the Red John Black and Tan, so good I'm going for another tonight 👍🏾

The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, as the pub is located directly beside the river and because Solothurn in general is a quiet and small city. However, the beer choice was very poor. Especially, I would have expected more IPAs and some sour beers (Lambic/Gose/Saison), but they had the standard beer and some local draft beer.

Good pub. Great location and service. Huge selection of drinks. Good prices. Lovely view.
