A free entry to this small OMEGA museum but a valuable time to be spent here learning about the history of this classic prestigious brand. You are provided with a headset and you can listen to the audio tour by choosing which audio file to play in each section of the Museum which is in a numerical order. If you are a watches lover and omega fan you'll love it being here, there is also a tv room where a video is being played about OMEGA's history and the craftsmanship behind it.

It was one of my biggest wish to visit this museum in Switzerland. It was wonderful and live up to my expectations! The selection of swatch watches are very cool. My favorite part was the presentation of the Moon landing equipments and how Omega played key role in various missions like Apollo. The staff was also very kind and helpful upon my arrival! I really recommend to visit this extraordinary place!

Interesting museum attached to the Swatch /Omega building across the road. Free entry. The first floor is all about the Omega story with exhibits including the Lunar landings, the Olympics and even James Bond! The upper floor tells the Swatch story. You can design your own Swatch and collect it from the museum. Outside, there is a Swatch drive through where those in a hurry can order a watch "to go"!

This museum should be on your must visit list of museums even you don't wear a watch. Entry is free. My tip: Don't forget to visit a projection on the 1st floor.

Two museums in one place. On the second floor, you will see Swatch. All models by year are exposed. Then on the first floor, it will be Omega. Both very interesting. History of the brands, watches etc... Children welcome and a lot of things for them, so they can interactive with the time. And the entrance is FREE!

Outstanding building architecture, worth a detour if you are in Biel. The watch museum itself is allright if you are interested in watch history. There is an noteworthy Swatch "drive through" sales pavillion in front of the museum where you can purchase a Swatch watch like at a hamburger joint - a funny idea.

I knew nothing about the watches nor Omega, I feel I learned a lot in a short time, it was entertaining yet serious. Worth the visit. Entrance is free. If you like architecture it is the occasion to see the new Swatch group headquarter where the museum building is connected to.

I highly recommend this place even if you're not into watches! The staff was very kind and helpful and you get to see omega and swatch watches! There are countless watches all with explanations. There is also a free audio guide and they give away free omega book guides. Best of all, it's free admission!!! It is also beside a swatch and omega store.

Really cool. Walls you through a timeline of Omega history. An intro video discussed horological history which was nice. It's a bit small but that's common for brand specific museums. Also it's free so I can't complain. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Excellent place for learning more about one of the world's best watch brands and the contributions it has made to society. Good video and interactive media to amuse and inform. Parking is available, but you might have to walk a little, if you ride a bicycle there are numerous paths available. Buses are available and motorways are not that far away.

  • 5/5 Gary H. 1 year ago on Google
Just brilliant! A detailed and interesting exhibition with a large array of watches important to Omega, as usual for Switzerland, the staff are excellent: friendly, helpful and very courteous; this also applies to the Swatch museum.

New museum. F you come only small number of people less than 5 persons, you can come directly. But if it’s more than 10, it’s better send them email or call them to reserve it. Normally the staff will give info to be started from Planet Swatch then continue to Omega. Quite interesting museum in planet swatch. You can follow the color with some theme. They have around 600 model of swatch from time to time. In Omega museum, you and your partner or friend can try “sprinter track” and you can take the promo at receptions at the end you are finished.

  • 4/5 Dominique E. 1 year ago on Google
Great museum if you're interested in watches and the history of time making. Some interactive exhibits to keep little ones interested. It's free entrance and right on the bus route.

  • 5/5 Julien D. 1 year ago on Google
Two levels of museum: the swatch museum displays half of all the models that have been released since the beginning of the brand. The Omega museum gives a lot of details about the brand origin/history, and has some absolutely gorgeous (and unique) timepieces. Special mention to the museum staff, who were all incredibly welcoming and helpful !

  • 5/5 Bernard R. 10 months ago on Google
What an amazing space! Planet Swatch on one level and Omega Museum on another. So good to learn about the history of the two brands in such a well thought out space! Highly recommended!

This was a day trip from our flat in SW Germany. A spur of the moment "Why Don't We Go To ...." sort of thing that we often find ourselves doing. Being an avid Omega timepiece owner, an haute horlogerie enthusiast, and being only a four-hour drive away, it was time for me to make the pilgrimage. Which, as it turns out, was life-changing for me. The parking is on-site and free of charge, and the overall experience is one of opulence and utter luxury. The modern architecture of the museum showcases the technological wonder of these instruments as well as the history of the Omega organization. Taking us back in time to the first models and then delivering exceptional examples of each caliber/movement through the decades of innovation and design evolution was remarkable. Honestly, I am surprised - if not shocked - that entrance is free of charge. Highlights for me were, of course, the historical lineage, but just seeing the Jack Kennedy Omega Slimline alone was a very special moment. Not to mention the beautiful displays of women's timepieces through the years, Elvis Presley's Tiffany & Co. Constellation, the James Bond collection (they even had 007's Royal Navy uniform!), and the astounding ocean & space exploration models. Again, very impressed. Just a fantastic experience and a MUST for any watch enthusiast whether they be Omega owners or not. There is a reason Omega is one of the finest watchmakers in the world and I enthusiastically recommend a visit. Kudos!

To be honest: I was expecting more from the Omega museum. It was a nice - and free - experience. But it also happened to be a little aged and uninspired. If you are around anyways: go for it. If you think about going here just for the experience: Consider twice! First, you are listening to a 360-degree-movie of 9 minutes with some cheesy statements about time. At the end of that movie came what would have interested me most: How a mechanical watch is constructed. 3D-elements snap into each other. Luckily, I know, what those are for. But this wasn’t explained at all. Then: Doors open. You are at a like 30 meter long bracelet with a lot of exhibits of Omega watched from the beginning to today. You almost always stare in glass boxes and occasionally put your audioguide to your ear to listen to some additional information. The only welcomed deviation from that pattern is the “James Bond” section where snippets of the movies are shown where Bond was wearing one or the other Seamaster: the model you see in real next to it. That feels like more connected than all the other glass box exhibitions. The “Mille Gauss” is also a nice exception from the pattern where they move a magnet over a movement with ferromagnetic chips moving with the magnetic field all around. … Dear Omega: Get more creative in your exhibition and highlight the outstanding features of your watches in a more impressive way - more interactive. More eye-catching! I really like your watches and had some good - private - reasons to come here. So, please impress your fans and proud owners! ;-) … more!

  • 4/5 Bernard :. 4 years ago on Google
Definitely not your traditional, dusty museum but the brands' history is presented in a fresh, more immersive and innovative way. The cheesy film section dedicated to the brands cooperation with James Bond begs forgiveness, but a trip to the museum definitely makes for a fun and entertaining outting while given the chance to learn more details about the brand. Kudos to the staff which is super friendly and knowledgeable!

Very interesting. The whole history of Omega is there. They even build a watch with 10 hours, instead of 12 ... but that watch was never available for the public.

(Translated by Google) ※ It was not possible to shoot inside the museum Free entry and get to know Omega's great history and beautiful variety of watches. The wristwatch I own is a chronograph from the same swatch group, Longines. However, it was a wonderful museum to visit here and regret a little more to save some money and buy OMEGA. Of course, Longines is great too! Not only how the OMEGA was born, but also the history of its partners, including NASA, the Olympics and 007?. Not only people who like watches but also those who do not like it can be enjoyed, and it was wonderful that they would like to watch. It is worth a visit. Rest assured that there is a Japanese audio guide. There is also a Swatch Museum.

Modern museum, but the second time I wouldn't go there, because the exposition is very uniform (watches, watches, watches...). An athletics treadmill saves the situation - it's a good interactive even for adults, the moon exhibition makes is somewhat refreshing also.
