10 minute walk upwards from Zurich HB train station. I wouldn't say it's the best view, maybe top 5 of Zurich. Best is always the observatory then Uetliburg. Lots of places to sit. I loved coming back a few times here to just breathe and read and think. You can bring a snack too but be wary of the pigeons - they flock to you quite fast seeing food. Be wary of what you feed them too: I am not sure if there is a ban on feeding them. Great view of the river and the Churches (there are 3). There is a water fountain that can also accomodate dogs. There are stuff to do too. Swings for kids and some people even brought metal balls for playing. Sometimes gets a bit muddy though so be sure to wear some good shoes/boots. There are a lot of trash bins so make sure to throw your trash properly please. The WC is a bit away from the park - you have to go down back the path to the train station. Grossmunster is 5 mins away - lots of places to eat near there. 4 stars because there's too many people sometimes.

It takes a mini-stair hike to this point, an absolute must if you are visiting Zurich or a localite. When you look around, there is a clear distinction between the regulars and the photo clickers. Impressive views of one half of the city centre, the churches, the flow of Limmat and the ETH campus. On the other end, chess games, picnic spots make this place a great option to unwind and relax.

The views of Zurich are excellent! Its a great spot to relax and spend some time enjoying food and soaking in the city. Highly recommend it!

It’s nothing but garden on a hilly terrain in the middle of the Zurich city. Has lots of empty place and gives you a pleasurable view of the riverside and buildings. There is also place to play human chess with your friends or family.

A great place to visit. It is considered as milestone of Swiss identity. Inside you can admire a project of old city from wood. Also a great pictures (replicas) on walls that could tell the story of beginning of the Switzerland.

Peaceful spot with a nice relaxed atmosphere. The steep cobbled Street up to the Lindenhof is charming and there is a great view of the Limmat river and Zurich below. Nice place for a picnic.

Nice views from on top of a hill. Nice shaded park area. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here but if you are nearby, it’s worth waking up to the top for a few minutes.

You will almost see old town from the top. View is very good and within quite walkable distance from Central station.

The Lindenhof, surrounded by the linden trees that give it its name, is an oasis of calm in the historic center of Zurich and a place steeped in history at the same time. A Roman fort once stood here, the remains of which can still be seen. In 1798, an oath was also sworn to the Helvetian constitution. Today many enjoy the great view.

Amazing views of the city. 180 view from above the lake. Wide open park. Great for kids. Watched a wedding reception there. Fresh water available. It's a decent walk uphill to get there.

we were there twice in one day, rainy morning and sunny evening. Not that crowded, gives you a nice view of Zurich river ( sorry, i don't know her actual name).

Nice little park area to get some amazing photos of the river and view of the city. There was a group of boys wearing swimming shorts and swimming in the fountain. It was very interesting to see. One of them even did a backflip going in, it was kinda scary since the fountain is not very deep. They all tied their clothes in a ring on the floor, I wonder the reason behind it…

The views from this place are really amazing. Whether you're looking at the clock tower or the church across the river, they're both stunning and worth seeing.

my favourite spot in zurich to have a coffee and a chat with friends. it's usually busy since the view over the city here is priceless. there are some big chess boards and ping pong tables to play.

A park higher up on the hill with spectacular views of the city. A must-visit spot for visitors to Zurich.

Visited late on a Friday afternoon in January. The views over Zurich were lovely and it was a great place for the kids in our group to blow off some steam between visits to churches and museums. The younger ones ran around and played on the swings while the teens and adults enjoyed the views and fountains.
