Fraumünster Church is a stunning landmark situated in the heart of Zurich, Switzerland. The church has a prominent location in the city and can be easily accessed by public transportation or on foot. The building itself is an impressive example of Gothic architecture, with towering spires and intricate details that are sure to catch the eye of any passerby. Inside the church, visitors can admire a collection of stunning stained glass windows created by the renowned artist Marc Chagall. The colors and designs of these windows are truly breathtaking and create a unique atmosphere inside the church. Besides the impressive architecture and artwork, the church also has a fascinating history. It was founded in the 9th century and has been through many changes over the centuries, including being used as a convent, a secular building, and eventually a church. Overall, Fraumünster Church is a must-see attraction in Zurich. It offers a blend of art, history, and stunning architecture that is sure to leave a lasting impression on anyone who visits. The website provides useful information for planning a visit, such as opening hours and admission fees.

The Chagall windows alone are worth a visit, and DO ask for an audio guide -- the commentary on topics ranging from the church's history to Chagall's stained glass panels (and their meanings) are among the best I've ever heard

A magnificent church, well managed including entry, crypt and shop. The brochure is excellent and an essential guide. The stained glass by Chagall and Giacometti is wonderful. I would suggest organ music at regular intervals to complete the experience.

A must visit when in Zurich and one of the more interesting Churches in Zurich, located inside the Old Town, near the shops and restaurants. It has a crypt as well, which is very interesting if you’re into that sort of thing. Church is free to enter, crypt there is a small fee to be paid in cash as far as I can remember

Very beautiful church with impressive works by Chagall. It is a must to visit Fraumunster when visiting Zurich. Audio guide is also suggested and it is included in the ticket.

This church with green steeple is located on the west bank of Limmat and is one of the four main churches of Zürich. Founded in 853 by King Louis the German for his daughter Hildegard, this church with its convent was inhabited by the female members of the aristocracy of Europe. It is built on the remains of a former abbey for aristocratic women.

Both the church interior and exterior are lovely. The architecture, windows and frescoes are beautiful. We visited on a grey January day and it was still lovely. We were not able to enter the churt itself, but could climb to the choir loft and look over the entire building.

Awesome cathedral church. Lots of great history and beautiful inside, pictures do not do it correct justice. Go on Sunday for a very nice service, in German, and listen to the pipe organ. It is played beautifully.

It's a majestic church atop a scenic bridge at the heart of Zurich. On one side of the church, the road leads to the bustling city life with supermarkets, shops and restaurants, while the other side, crossing over the bridge takes you to the calmer version of the city.

This is the church with Chagall windows that is highly recommended by locals. Too bad that Swiss Travel Pass isn’t eligible for the church. They only take Swiss card. The admission for visiting the church is 5 francs. No public toilets are available for general public based on the lady who is selling tickets.

The church is located in the heart of the city, and it is a must-see destination for those interested in architecture and history. The church is known for its beautiful stained glass windows, including the famous Chagall windows, which are considered to be one of the most important artworks of the 20th century. The church also has a beautiful Romanesque architecture and an impressive organ. The church is open to the public, and there is a small entrance fee to visit the church, but it's definitely worth it.

It shure is worth a visit, even if manily for the Chagall windows. Everything else is just like most other churches, though the Crypta is somewhat special. Asking for an entrance fee seems a bit weird to me though, at least it is not overly expensive at CHF 5. The piazza in front is cool with a couple of Cafes araound

Church in Zürich which was built on the remains of a former abbey for aristocratic women which was founded in 853 by Louis the German for his daughter Hildegard. He endowed the Benedictine convent with the lands of Zürich, Uri, and the Albis forest, and granted the convent immunity, placing it under his direct authority. Today, it belongs to the Evangelical Reformed Church of the canton of Zürich and is one of the four main churches of Zürich, the others being the Grossmünster, Prediger and St. Peter's churches.

If you are in Zurich, you must enter Fraumunster Church. The church has an amazing history and you have to take time to admire the beautiful windows painted by Marc Chagall which are absolutely stunning 😍 ✨️. You can see biblical scenes as a fairytale ✨️ and you also can admire old paintings 🥰.

The church is decorated by Marc Chagall's large windows created in 1970 giving a special atmosphere to the place, especialy if you like fine art and paintings. Besides you can see here bautiful and large organs or you can visit a crypt in with Middle Ages basement.

Extremely over-looked which is good news for the few visitors willing to pay to get in. Audio guide is a must. Its austere German Reformation interiors contrasted by the vibrancy of Chagall’s dramatic windows is a religious experience, whatever your denomination or beliefs.

(Translated by Google) Because of the Chagall and Giacometti windows alone, this church is a place that you should definitely see when you are in St. Gallen. My personal recommendation is to let the windows sink in for several minutes and not just glimpse them. I also find it interesting how different the windows look at different times of the day, as they then have a light with different colors, e.g. let a few blue through. The windows are clearly the main attraction here, the rest I didn't find particularly interesting.

Worth seeing. Do not miss it. It closses quite early. Either go in early morning or in late afternoon. Strained glass windows are worth seeing and you must go to the top via stairs. There is a seperate donation you need to give to go there and it's really worth going. Stairs are quite narrow, so not for people who feel a bit suffocated in closed spaces.

(Translated by Google) The Fraumünster Church is a unique building in the Swiss Gothic style, it was reconstructed several times until the middle of the 20th century. The first mention of the temple, which is one of the four most important city churches in Zurich, dates back to 853, founded by King Louis of Germany for the divine service of his daughter Hildegard. The Fraumünster is the first church in the city of Zurich to house the largest organ in the canton of Zurich. A very very old church in the middle of the city to the side of the river. As other churches in Switzerland this one is also pretty modest. However fraumunster is definitely worth a visit since there are old ruins under the church which are brilliantly maintained and free to visit(for students).

Wasnt able to get inside but it already fascinated me just with the exteriors. Our tour guide was generous enough to share a few important highlights of this place

This is a beautiful church. Maybe it’s not one my top list(I think other evangelical congregations looks more plain and beautiful), but I think it has a sense of history which remind me of the Geneva bible and John Calvin, one of the Protestant revolution leader. They just stated fighting against the Roman Catholic Church because they made a fortune in a deceitful way. I think this church might represents a purity and simplicity in life which fully expresses the value of presbyterian. In conclusion, I think this is a good historical heritage to visit.
