Avoid booking with this tour organiser. Two friends and I had booked a 3 day ski tour. Montanara cancelled the tour one day before departure but still forced us to pay 8 % according to their cancellation policy. We proposed them to pay in exchange for a discount on a future tour, which they rejected. To me this shows how little the company values their clients. They should rethink their attitude towards customer service.

Many of my most precious memories of outdoor adventures in Switzerland are with Montanara. Alex and his team have taken my family on some incredible outings: snowshoeing for the first time, at night, to a hut for a fondue dinner; sledding down from the Furkapass; learning to cross a glacier; learning via ferrata; and snowshoeing to a hut to see in the New Year. His team speak excellent English, and are very good at tailoring the experience to the group. We have always felt very safe and cared for, and have always come home ready to plan the next adventure!

We have made several overnight snowshoe trips with Montanara in Uri and Ticino, and we did an alpine skills course. The guides are very professional, the rental equipment is high quality and we had great fun exploring areas we would not have been able to experience on our own. First class!

Great preparation and skill of the guides for the tour which included glaciar hiking, jumping crevasses, rappelling, summitting of Tete Blanche between Arolla and Zermatt, Wallis, Switzerland. Always felt save thanks to Montanara! Beautiful huts and nice vibe of the group, too :)

I have had the pleasure of making a number of "Hochtouren" with Montanara Bergerlebnisse. I've always found their guides friendly, experienced and professional. They savour the mountains of Uri with its ruggedness and beauty. Mountaineering is for them not just a sport or recreation, but part of their lives.

Wir haben am Wochenende an der Clariden Gletschertour teilgenommen und waren 3 Tage mit Alex unterwegs. Die Tour war der Hammer und Alex war sehr kompetent und ist steht's auf unsere Bedürfnisse eingegangen. Auch mit unseren Gspänli hat es sehr gut gepasst. Ein fantastisches Erlebnis und gerne wieder :-)

Annemarie und Robi haben am schönen erlebnisreichen Trecking nach Marokko teilgenommen. Schon die Vorbereitung war ausgezeichnet. Bei einem Treffen vor der Reise wurde die An- und Rundreise bestens erklärt. Es konnten gezielt Fragen gestellt werden, die kompetent beantwortet wurden. Die Organisation durch Alex Gisler, wie auch mit dem Begleiter Abdella waren perfekt geplant. Die Unterkünfte hatten einen für Marokko einen sauberen und hohen Standard. Die Zelte und Unterlagen waren in gutem und sauberem Zustand. Die Begleitung mit den Maultieren und den Dromedars waren perfekt geplant, so dass wir stets auf den Wanderungen nur den Tagesrucksack auf uns trugen. Die zubereiteten Mahlzeiten mit den einfachen Mitteln, die dem Koch zur Verfügung standen, waren von hoher Qualität. Fast täglich wurde im Freien frische Fladenbrote gebacken. Alles in allem das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist top. Wir fühlten uns durch die Begleitung sicher und geborgen. Glück hatten wir auch vom Wettergott. Der bescherte uns schönes Wetter, angenehme Temperaturen und in unser Dach in der Wüste war ein Sternenhimmel mit einmaliger Sicht ohne Lichtsmog. Wir sind von unvergesslichen Eindrücken aus dem Siroua- Gebirge, der Wüste und der pulsierenden Stadt Marrakesch heimgekehrt und werden uns noch lange an dem schönen Erlebnis freuen. Nur zu empfehlen.
