It is quite impressive how all the objects are preserved. The entrance fee is also quite reasonable for the exhibit. You can get a good idea about how the life was in that era.

My favourite museum so far. Intimate & personal. Great to see how people lived in 1200's.

One of the most interesting places I’ve been. Got to back in time in a house complete with everything. I really do want to get back there soon!

For CHF 5,- pp this museum gives you a sneak peak into the past, clothes, furniture, toys. You see behind the scenes of how a house like toys worked. And they have chickens too. Currently there's a nice exhibition where you can see antique tourism posters for the Bodensee region.

A cute house with some exhibits. There are some descriptions with English translation but not all. The exhibits are a little bit boring and "expected", e.g. in the bedroom the sign will tell you "This is where people sleep" (duh).

A surprisingly large and plentiful museum of 19th century life in the area. Right on Stein am Rhein's main pedestrian street.

A must-visit! It's a journey back to 19th century. I loved how you could walk through the house and see everything as they used to be.
