Amazing spot for a short escape. Not ideal to reach by foot, we came here by our electric bikes. The wooden tower is hidden between trees. There 3 very nice spots to sit and have barbecue.

Nice wooden watchtower, located almost at the forest entrance. It's very close to climb there quickly from the parking. Admission is free, there's no one in there. The view is beautiful and there are tablets with marked mountains drawings.

It is an absolutely beautiful place, the lookout is so pretty with views all the way to the Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger! The trek upto it from Dübendorf via Geeren can be pretty tiring as it is quite steep but the forest and final view is worth it. Running, clean and drinkable water is available thanks to a fountain right beside the tower, and the cabin and benches are also nearby for a nice place to camp and relax. Highly recommend it for people in Zürich who want to have a good walk through the forest and some spectacular views of the Alps, Zürichsee as well as Greifensee.

This place is amazing. You can go here for hiking from fallanden or you can reach witikon friderich and start to walk towards the tower if you want to walk less. But believe me the way as well as the view from top is mesmerizing you will love the city, Alps and lightings of city(if go at evening).

An impressive wooden observation tower with a great view of the city in good weather. There is a seating area inside the tower once you get to the top. ~30 minute walk from the Dolderbahn cog rail station. There is also a picnic/BBQ area, benches, and a water fountain around the tower.

It was amazing .I went there in winter . But I guess it would give you more beautiful view in Summer . It's free .no ticket.

The tower is about 33m and is a fun climb. At the top is a beautiful view from tower. The tower is free (no admission). Also would recommend checking out other trails in the park.

On a clear day, you can see for a very long way from the top of the observation tower. You can see the peaks of Säntis, Rigi, and Pilatus (assuming no haze). There is also a grill place, fountain, and a forest shelter nearby.

The tower reaches over the treetops and thus allows a great view over the lake of Zürich and the alps in the distance (Careful if there's snow the stairs could be really slippery!). Really nice spot, with lots of fireplaces, a picknick area, a small hut and beches in the surrounding area to rest. Since it's so close to the city of Zürich it's easily accesible. For a nice daytrip I recommend to start at one of the surrounding towns (like Pfaffhausen) and hike towards Zürich from there. The tower is a great place for a break on your way.
