It’s a beautiful part of canyon Zug. I feel it is do special as you always seem to have views of either the lake or the mountains while walking through the old town. The architecture and the details on the buildings should not be missed. For me personally spring and summer are my best time to visit as the city and lake area have so many colourful flowers blooming.

One of the best old towns in Switzerland, it's a true hiddem gem. Not many tourists and you can explore it within half an hour on foot. There are also some beautiful parks nearby with a view of this beautiful old town and the sunset.

Small but very nice and quaint little town by the lake. We were there on Monday evening and a lot of the shops were closed so the streets were pretty empty which I kind of enjoy. But maybe not go on a Monday evening if you prefer something more lively.

Zug alt stadt is a very small village by the lake, nice to walk around the streets, with some very nice local art shops and others. You eventually head towards the main square passing a little zoo. In the main square, is surrounded with restaurants that look out towards the lake, very picturesque.

The old town is really nice and worth a visit. Also a walk along the lakeside is highly recommended. The new town area with the usual globalized stores you can skip.

Very very interesting old town to visit. Not as famous as luzern, but absolutely well preserved and beautifully.

Zug's old town is located on the lake. Take your time and Stroll through the alleys. Zug's old town invites you to travel through time. The magnificently renovated houses take you back to the Middle Ages. Many hundreds of years ago, the vibrant center of the city was here. The several small boutiques show the way into modernity. Take a closer look. Because their offers are very up-to-date.

If you are walking from the main train station, it will take you about 15 minutes to reach the Old Town in Zug. Zug itself is not very big, so don't expect a huge Old Town. Having said that, it is very close to the lake and it has some beautiful buildings. So it's definitely worth a walk!

A nice small old town with beautiful houses, churches, and sculptures, on the shore of a large clean lake. If you ever travel by train between Zürich and Lucerne, make a stop in Zug and spend an hour or two here.
