If you want to snuggle up on the couch and stream movies, or live vicariously through others broadcast versions of reality this place isn't for you. If you want a space to put Jesus back into the center of your life come to this piece of heaven where the air is clean, the breakfast food is real, mountain trails for hiking and biking in every direction out the front door. A significant crossroads of European History, including the intersection of Roman Routes is presented in the museum on the premises, in addition to the natural history of the valley. I what to expect and appreciate by whatever means you come to experience this charming and very lively valley. Don't sleep in and miss breakfast if you are staying overnight in the Monastery accomodations.

An amazing church whose origine was in the 15th century, with added sites along the 16th baroque style. There are about 20 Benedictine monks who supply rooms for various purposes: tourism, retreat, vacation, ect.

There are museum, sanctuary and restaurant. Don’t go to the restaurant after holy mass because the service will be very slow. Every 12.00 you can see and hear beautiful voices of the priests.

Fantastic renovation just completed! Main church looks like new with white walls, golden ornaments, large paitings on the ceiling. Also good for a break in Stiva Placi restaurant.

This old abbey is freshly renovated and very welcoming to visitors. The toilets and parking lots come at a fee. The church is beautiful. NB. I was amused by the fact that the website features a video about the abbey which that was produced by a company that manufactures cleaning equipment.

It was just so beautiful. The museum was also interesting. It's worth to see especially if you are interested in history, I think.

Really fascinating place to see. Would be great if there were more contextual information as well to help understand the history of the place a little more.

Breathtaking spiritual place in the middle of the mountains. Quiet stopover on hectic journeys.
