BrauBudeBasel,
or
BBB,
is
a
small
brewery
located
in
northern
Basel.
It
is
not
a
brewpub
and
does
not
serve
food,
but
they
produce
a
great
variety
of
craft
beers
and
is
worth
a
visit.
The
brewery
is
located
near
a
public
transportation
tram
stop,
so
is
easy
to
get
without
driving.
The
4-story
building
has
lights
and
an
umbrella
out
front,
and
over
the
entrance
are
lights
and
their
name
in
large
black
letters.
Just
inside
the
front
window
is
a
small
space
for
live
music,
which
is
popular
on
Friday
nights.
The
front
room
has
a
few
tables
and
further
back
is
the
bar
room.
The
compact
space
has
just
a
few
tables
and
no
chairs
at
the
bar.
The
floor
is
wooden,
the
walls
are
concrete,
and
the
ceiling
is
plain
white.
You
can
walk
up
to
the
bar
for
service
and
to
pay
for
your
beer.
Behind
the
bar
is
a
tap
tower
with
just
2
taps
for
their
flagship
beers,
usually
the
Rotes
(a
pale
brown
ale)
and
Blaues
(an
herbal
multigrain
ale).
In
front
of
the
tower
is
a
row
of
10
different
bottles
representing
their
full
offering.
It
is
an
impressive
range
of
styles,
and
the
beer
is
well
crafted.
I
tried
their
Ivanka
Belgian
Strong
Golden
Ale
(8.5%)
and
enjoyed
its
heavy
complexity.
The
staff
is
approachable
and
knowledgeable
about
their
beer.
My
only
regret
is
that
they
do
not
offer
a
sampler
flight
of
more
of
their
beers.
Overall,
it
is
an
enjoyable
little
brewery.
