This was an interesting museum about different human cultures. The permanent exhibition showed items from the 5 continents of the world, ranging from religious to more everyday life artifacts. I was not blown away, in contrary to the great reviews, because the information around each piece was quite heavy (available in both French and English). However the items were really beautiful and interesting!

Excellent little space, though I think I may have missed some more on another floor due to being on my own and having a sad teething baby. Definitely worth looking at as it’s beautifully presented. I read that the layout was a little chaotic but it really wasn’t, once you got the idea of the sections, such as writing and musical instruments etc it’s quite easy to follow. Although to be honest it’s just beautiful to wander amongst

Fascinating architecture, content and space! My favourite museum in Geneva so far. Loved the African religion exhibition in the Meg. The permanent exhibit is also very impressive. The way the curators have used the space and light to create a unique experience is fantastic. Highly recommended. When I come back to Geneva I will come for a visit again

Both the permanent and temporary exposition were fascinating. It was enlightening to be exposed to so many diverse cultural and historical artifacts. The building is beautiful and the whole experience transformative. Don't forget to pop by the restaurant on your way !

Very nice anthropology museum with an “archive of humanity” approach, compact (free) collection that’s well presented and often attractive special exhibitions that are deeply researched and curated. Nice museum cafe/restaurant and research library.

Has a lot of old objects from all around the world, even the place is small but had a large collection of historical items and facts that can take more than an hour to go through them. Best place for school trips!

Lots of interesting artefacts that have been collected over the years, with excellent explanations in English. One small issue is that it is difficult to form any coherent theme with all the different artefacts, so it can seem like you are looking at many things, but not sure why you are looking at it

Amazing collection there. My favourite is the musicology part with its accompanying recordings. Such a discovery! My only suggestion is that maybe the museum can consider using some pieces in the collection to introduce more unique products in the museum shop. I would love to have a poster of that Australian aboriginal bark painting of a kangaroo!!

I’m generally not a fan of museums, but this one was quite intriguing. I ended up spending a little over two hours here.

Awesome permanent collection. Free entrance. I was there for probably an hour!

The free exhibits are excellent, lots of items to see. I felt like the space in other parts of the museum wasn’t used very well and the signposting wasn’t the best. Drinks in the cafe are extortionate.
