Wonderful location and very friendly staff. I have to really praise and recommend Louis the server in the restaurant. Louis was extremely hospitable and took very good care of our dietary restrictions. Chef Noel Fernandez makes amazing dishes and we loved his food. Deborah at the dining area reception was very friendly and so helpful too. Frederic and Arina at the front desk were so welcoming and took such good care of us in getting us settled in and making us feel like home. Overall, great hotel and extremely amicable and welcoming staff. They go much more than above and beyond to make your stay as welcoming as possible. Also, it’s located right at the lake front so views are amazing. Would definitely recommend the hotel!!

The rooms could use a bit of an update/refresh, but the staff couldn’t be nicer. They were all amazing from breakfast service to the doormen and concierge. Truly felt like a luxury service experience in a bit of a dated, but very clean and well kept room.

Hotel President is an excellent hotel! From check-in to room cleanliness our stay was exceptional. We stayed in a superior room with partial lake view and it was great! The cleaning service left our room immaculate each day. The staff near the breakfast lounge and on the pool floor was exceptionally nice and professional. The rooms are slightly dated however the staff makes the stay a true 5 star experience! Julien at front desk was extremely helpful and efficient. Thank you guys!

What a wonderful Bonvoy hotel! Simply lovely. Very high end in my opinion. The entire staff from the front door to the room service in the evening was well beyond our expectations. The concierge services was spot on! This is a highly recommended hotel in my opinion. Would love to come again in the summer to see the difference in seasons. Superb!

Had a fabulous stay at the hotel! The hotel staff were super friendly and very helpful. The only thing is as person with a wheelchair scooter the hotel is not very accessible. They have temporary ramps they left down for our stay and anywhere we needed to go they were right there to help. There isn’t an accessible washroom for the restaurant or pool deck but it’s due to the age of the building. The Deluxe suite room was fantastic! So much room for the scooter. The bathroom was huge and had both a tub and shower.

We stayed here for 3 nights in December. The hotel is in a wonderful location, right on the lake and promenade. The building itself is in good condition, but the decor and textiles are dated and in need of an update. However, everything is very well taken care of. The room was nice. We had a junior suite, which was two normal rooms that had a connecting door between. One room had been turned into a sitting room, the other a normal king room. Again, the decor was dated but it was impeccably clean and well taken care of. The bed was wonderful. The bathrooms, while dated, were very clean. Although the shower was very tight. The TVs though….sooo old. I swear they haven’t manufactured tvs like these since 2010. It’s almost embarrassing that the hotel feels ok to have such outdated technology. The staff were very kind, and attentive. While it’s not as romantic as some of the other hotels near by, and would benefit from a refurb, it’s still a solid choice. Would recommend.

Room size are quite not too spacious, maybe due to room type we got. But in term of noise really bit unacceptable as we can easily hear car coming and going. Breakfast wise quite disappointed, beside taste are not really that good their services seems bit slow. They don't really managed to top up their foods accordingly whenever it's finished. But view and location is great. Anyway it's still a nice stay though, and first timer must try to stay.

Disappointed. I am travelling a lot for business and I know the Bonvoy / Marriott group quite well. But this hotel is not worth it. No charging stations (e-Cars). Breakfast was poor. The room not good, old and small. Not useful for tall people. Park situation horrible. At the the lobby is just posh. Not even Instagramable. So I definitely not suggest this place. Especially with a rate of 500 CHF a night. Not useful for business.

We stayed for a couple of nights ahead of a holiday in the mountains. From the moment of arrival, through check in and on to departure it couldn't have been better. The level of personal attention is fantastic. For example, the gentleman on reception remembering my name and room number 24 hours after check-in when another key was required and Deborah looking after us at breakfast remembering our drinks order after only one day in the hotel. Yes, it is expensive but everything about the place is of a very high standard including the comfiest hotel bed I've been in for a while.

I am used to great quality, service, and amenities from Marriott properties, but this hotel exceeded my expectations. It’s in a great location and the staff is fantastic. Also look no further for breakfast - this breakfast buffet was hands down the BEST I have ever seen. Do not miss it!

I had a good stay with lots of noise from other rooms due to poor room sound proofing. The hotel needs to really work on this. If house keeping is cleaning the upper room. It's like they are cleaning yours. (-) point for this. Otherwise everything was under control... Elite Ambassador Member.

Pros: friendly staff and service, central location, extremely comfortable beds, great toiletries. Cons: dark rooms, no in-room coffee or tea that is not in the mini bar.

Nice hotel opposite to Geneva lake. The rooms are nice. The service is good. The breakfast buffet is delicious .The only thing i didnt like the smell of the place, specially the corridors.

What a welcoming hotel. The room was large and spacious. Our view of the lake was beautiful. The staff is very helpful. Laura at the front desk is a great help.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Excellent location, great views, awesome staff, nice sized rooms, exquisite dining options… the list goes on. I hope I’m able to return in the future.

The most striking thing about this hotel is the exquisite flower arrangements throughout the public areas. It's a beautiful location by the lake and easy walking distance to a variety of restaurants. The breakfast buffet was especially nice.

Not sure if there is anywhere else in the world that can treat you as special as this place. Waking up to the sunrise with the waterfront view is something I’ll remember forever. Turn down service was excellent and every single person here makes sure you feel welcome.

Really nice place to stay, had 3 nights for business. Its expensive, but that is Geneva for you so don't get shocked spending £25 on a single gin. Only had breakfast at the hotel, it was OK but certainly not anything to shout about. Rooms where big, the city view meant that the curtains had to be shut for privacy. Nothing wrong with the hotel but not sure I would stay again but that is just me.

Lol is this place bankrupt? Why can't they seem to be able to afford any of the following? - impeccable cleaning of commun area? - opening the pool before 10am, after 6pm in the middle of summer? - proper towel/placing service at the pool? - check-in with rooms ready after 3pm? - dusting in the rooms? - a breakfast buffet better than what a budget hotel typically offers? - maintenance and small repairs (rooms, bathrooms frankly a bit rundown relative to the price paid)? - management? (From no room at check in, to total mismanagement of our package perks, and staff loudly talking shop across the room and over guest tables at breakfast) - tea in the room? I've been in youth hostels with better in room hot drink complimentary options... Oh and I didn't know Diptyque was having a special "cheap cologne body and hair detergents" line make for stingy hotels. That was nasty. Staff was nice, though. And of course the location is awesome.

Generally, it's basically qualified as a 5-star hotel. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The lake and a very nice park are nearby. However, the cleanliness should be improved, especially the bathtub part.

Great location, along the lakefront with beautiful views, right next to the former League of Nations headquarters (President Wilson was a key to its history.) The hotel itself is a modern glass and steel building with nice floor to ceiling windows, too. The rooms are generally well-appointed, although no coffee machine, despite the hotel folder saying you get 4 espresso pods (nope, and no machine, either.) The public areas are airy and beautful, with lots of flowers and art. A highlight is several massive old tapestries, which are wonderful and fascinating. There's some interesting modern art as well. The hotel breakfast is very nice and through-out the hotel service is attentive, just as you'd expect for a property like this. The elevators are small (holds about six at a time) but operate very quickly. We were booked into here as a part of a Viking River Cruise "extra" tour of Switzerland. The building seems to have had an "at any cost" rennovation about a decade ago, as evidenced by the wired phone in the bathroom and an older 40" non-4K Bang and Olufson TV, $8,000 in its day, but electronics age so quickly. I would have been happier with a $2,000 4K OLED TV ... AND in-room coffee. Make no mistake, Geneva and Switzerland are expensive places, but I'm glad our stay here was via a river cruise package, as I wouldn't have found it worth it if I'd booked it on my own. The hotel is close to both the lake, a lot of the international organizations, and parks, the closest of which includes a museum of scientific instruments. A couple blocks behind the hotel (i.e., away from the lakeshore) is a street with lots of restaurants (many Lebanese / Middle Eastern), a Coop grocery store, and we found several moderately priced restaurants. If you go much further than a couple blocks, you can find yourself in a seedier neighborhood, we felt fine walking through there during the day, but there were a lot of bars and streetwalkers and I doubt I'd feel safe there after dark. (Having said that, keep in mind that this is generally a very, very safe city.) We enjoyed our two nights at the hotel.

It was my first time in this wonderful luxury hotel.. From the minute we arrived , I was pleased with the greeting that I received from the staff.. Ms Bassma , from the front desk , who was very kind . Also the Concierge staff , who were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and view is amazing, and the food was delicious . Definitely I will stay in this hotel when I visit Geneva in the future. Thank you , all the staff , for making me happy during my stay.

Spacious rooms and a polite & professional staff. The breakfast buffet has the usual cheese platter and bread along with one item from oriental and Indian cuisine. The hotel has a swimming pool but unfortunately it is open only in summer. Location: overlooking the lake, ideal for long strolls along the lakeside. A pleasant experience overall.

By far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Everything is on point including the breakfast. The service is beyond wonderful. I would stay here again. It is wonderfully located as well.

Beautiful location on the lake with excellent staff and amenities. The rooms are basic but very clean. The restaurant is also such a unique experience!

Beautiful hotel and staff. Breakfast was included in our two day stay and it was 5 star. Negative: A/C was very inadequate. Could feel minimal drift of cool air from vent when turned on to Maximum. If you don’t mind a warm room all the time, 4 start hotel. If you’re looking to sleep in a cool room, this is not the hotel for you! I can only speak for room 123.

Beware - this is not a family friendly hotel. After our 13 month old was taken ill on our final morning & was sick on the carpet of our room, we received a bill for 3,000 CHF (3,358 USD) to replace the carpet. The rooms are dated, the breakfast buffet service was slow, rarely fully stocked and underwhelming. Location is very nice, as is the Bayview. But I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere in Geneva, particularly if you are travelling with kids.

It was a short stay but quite lovely. The location is really good. Very walkable to the rest of the city. All locals say it’s a fancy hotel so the reputation is out there also.

Lovely location and friendly staff, but the rooms are definitely a little run down - stains on the floor and old technology (TV, hair dryer, phone) definitely call for some refurbishing

Had the opportunity to stay here w/ a friend during a business trip. Absolutely amazing location! The hotel is beyond nice. There seems to be a lot of high profile ppl that come through here as well. If you have an opportunity/option to stay here- do it!
