Disappointing experience at a nice location. The greatest issue for me was that the room had really thin walls. I heard my neighbours' phones vibrating early in the morning and also when they were watching TV. The breakfast was average in terms of the food, but the bigger problem was that the refilling of meals and drinks was slow, and we needed to wander around with empty plates to find what to eat (missing milk, fruit or juice). The access to the lake was convenient, but the aqua zone was lacking. The water in the jacuzzi was just warm, but the sauna was just cold. I mean they require visitors to go nude to that zone, but why would one want to sit in a room that is only a bit warmer than any average room? All in all, this hotel is only about looks, would not recommend going there.

We had a great relaxing experience at this hotel, the spa was a very nice way to end our days after exploring the beautiful Lucerne area. Beds were comfortable, great views and great breakfast. Train station to main town was a 5 minute walk. The staff at this hotel are great and very helpful. Only reason I didn’t give a 5 stars is because parking can be a challenge as it is located on a busy Main Street, they have additional parking but you have to be willing to walk there, which can be a challenge when raining. I would definitely recommend this place.

I am not sure why it is a 4 star hotel. I asked to extend my check out and the receptionist didn't update my room card. So I had to run around the hotel, in bath robe. The air conditioning unit in my room didn't work. Breakfast had nice options. The wellness area is the bread and butter of this hotel and it's really good!

Stayed in the single room with lake view. 8 min walk to the Hergiswil train station. Beautiful lake view. Room is updated and has adapter plugs at the desk. Powerful hair dryer/fruit and sparkling water is provided. Has closet space and a refrigerator. Loved the Bamboo swing chair. Would've liked coffee machine in the room. Breakfast was great. Comes with breads/cheeses/fruit/smoked salmon/smoked trout/cheeses/bircher muesli, eggs sausage bacon and a coffee/cappuccino machine. Dinner menu also was great. Wifi was strong. Had no issues working from the room.

A hotel with own small beach and terrace. Great view and cosy seats under the chestnut trees. Modern rooms, nice spa/sauna area, and very helpful staff. On the downside, with a kids pram/rollchair one might have trouble with the stairs. There was also no kettle in the room, however you can easily get hot water in the bar.

We had a fantastic experience. Very friendly staff. The free breakfast was amazing and it had a great espresso/coffee machine. We had a partial lake view and the rooms were very clean. The bathroom in our room was very nice - had a rainfall shower head. Would stay again.

Hotel is very nice, very pretty view, good amenities, but the restaurant…. Came at 19.15 food came at 9 pm, and the food was bland and half cold. this is more then unacceptable. Ruined our whole evening. If you want to eat here you’re better going to mcdonald's

Excellent Service at Seehotel. I have experience very good service at Seehotel Pilatus so write a review for this Seehotel Pilatus is a stunning hotel located in the heart of Switzerland, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Lucerne. During my recent stay at the hotel, I was impressed with the outstanding service provided by the staff, making my experience truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that my every need was met. They were friendly, professional, and always available to assist with any queries I had. Whether it was recommending local attractions or arranging transportation, the team at Seehotel Pilatus were knowledgeable and efficient, providing exceptional service at every turn. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with modern amenities and luxurious touches throughout. My room was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, a large bathroom, and stunning views of the lake and mountains. I appreciated the attention to detail, such as the complimentary water bottles and chocolates left in my room each day. The food at the hotel was also exceptional, with a variety of delicious options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant staff were attentive and helpful, ensuring that every meal was a memorable experience. Overall, I would highly recommend Seehotel Pilatus to anyone visiting the Lucerne area. The exceptional service, stunning location, and luxurious amenities make it the perfect place to relax and unwind while exploring all that Switzerland has to offer.

Very friendly staff and local people. Nidwalden is definitely an underrated canton to make short vacations or trips to. We very much enjoyed our stay at one of the junior suites with a wellness package. The wellness area could be a bit more diverse and it is a bummer that the sauna area is only open fom 4 pm on. Also, we missed a Turkish bath. However, the views and location right at the lake balance this inadequacies out. Overall a very relaxing and nourishing experience. Speaking of nourishment, the breakfast is definitely above average compared to other 4 star hotels. Can definitely recommend also the classical massage with Michi ( Michael Scheuber). We' ll be hopefully back soon.

We stayed at the Pilatus Hotel from the 23rd to 27th December 2023 with a bus tour group and all I can say is WOW.... What a hotel and all the staff were so friendly and could not do enough for the group. Call at reception to request an extra pillow and as we got into the room there was a knock on the door with the requested pillow.....not a few hours later like most hotels. We could not fault the food at all the meals were 5 star. Hotel is on the banks of the lake so standing on the deck looking into the crystal clear water and out over the lake towards Lucerne was so relaxing. Thankyou to all at the Pilatus Hotel for one of the best holidays we have had.

beautiful small hotel by the lake in the small village of Hergiswiĺ, great staff, ok breakfast and the views. Beautiful access directly to the lake and wellness to it. The train station is a short distance away, you can either go to Mount Pilatus or towards Lucerne. I recommend 👍

It started amazing but ended poorly, with almost 0 sleep. Please invest on the lake view rooms, because the one with the road or noubtain view w.e. is horrible! Its impossible to sleep from cars and people screaming. If you open the windows you are done!

Quaint and charming hotel by the Lake of Lucerne. Attached to Wellness resort with state of the art infrared/ steam/ sauna rooms and an indoor swimming pool/ jacuzzis. Great for couples and/ or solo travelers. Lovely breakfasts and restaurants too. Lively karaoke at night? 😊

Polite and friendly staff. Plenty of choice for breakfast and Dinner menu varied and carefully prepared and presented. The one slight inconvenience is not having tea/coffee facility in room.

I have very mixed feelings. Let me just say, i have no major complains about the hotel itself. Rooms are a bit outdated but a huge bonus was a big terace/balcony with a partial lake view. Our room had a sink inside the room and not in the bathroom. Still not a problem. For me personally the bed and pillows were way too soft. That is subjective of course. The outside area for deckchairs isn't big but i think everyone fit there and you have direct acer to the lake. As it was summer, we didn't use the spa area but the pool looks nice and big. Very good breakfast buffet. Now to the worst part. We had a reservation in the restaurant in the evening and our food came 1h after we placed the order. Now keep in mind we were looking around and i didn't see much food coming out. Mainly icecreams. So 1h for 2 peaces of fish and 5 potatoes and a piece of froed pork with salad. Every time we were asking, the waiter was assuring us it is comming. We even mentioned, that can we cancel it. No,no it is coming. With that time we could have jumped in a car and get food in Luzern. So for us a nice stay and evening was ruined by the kitchen. Next day we didn't even dare to order anything for lunch and just went to the bakery across to get some food.

Stayed in the top room suite, the restaurant in the courtyard is magical and I’d stay here again. Swimming in the lake is wonderful and a short train into central Luzern.

Great location to lake of Luzern, rooms with view at the lake and services are very well good, staff are very welcoming and nice. There are swimming pool and spa. It's not far from luzern city and other places around like Pilatus mountain.

The location and lake views from the patio and spa were fantastic. Breakfast and the spa were great. The service was a bit lackluster and particularly the room we had. Our “Mountain View” room balcony on the 1st floor looked out to buildings and a noisy street. If you looked up and between rooftops you got a peek of mountain tops. Also, we asked for a twin room but when we arrived the twin was made up with a single sheet into a king size bed. Someone did come to remake the beds but, due to the room configuration it was difficult to separate the beds into a comfortable sleeping arrangement. All that being said, we spent most time out in the beautiful surroundings anyway.

I didn’t love this hotel and I think it was wildly overpriced. The views are top notch and the newish pool is great for the family. The breakfast was very plain and the dining area was extremely dated. I think the location was alright but I wish we would have stayed in Lucerne itself. Getting into Lucerne was 20-25 min away and Mount Pilatus was about 40min. Proximity to the Coop was convenient for sandwiches and drinks.

You can't find a better place to enjoy your vacation in Switzerland. Rooms are lake facing and you go swimming in the lake. The rooms are very clean and air conditioned. Morning breakfast is good to have only less options for vegetarians. Train & bus stations are nearby.

Very very nice, I loved the view, I had a room on the sea side, very enjoyable to just sit in the swinging chair to enjoy the view. The staff is nice and polite, rooms are great the bed is a little bit to soft (but there are probably a lot of people out that like it soft). Thank you Team I enjoyed my stay of the last 6 Days very much, hope to visited you again some time.

It is a very pleasant hotel with a wonderful view on the lake. The feature we appreciated most when we had bad weather, was the huge warm water swimming pool. Good breakfast buffet. We didn't like the coffee at the buffet. Concerning the simgle room I I occupied, it was very samll, so small that a bathroom mirror found no room.

We found this hotel while exploring Switzerland. The staff were super helpful and the room was modern and clean. It’s right on the lake and surrounded by mountains. I could have stayed here for a month.

Clean rooms, inside pool and jacuzzi, beautiful view on the lake, very helpful staff at the reception, amazing dinner! We were a little bit disappointed by the breakfast though.
