Friendly staff and good food. Although we did not make a reservation, we were accepted and got a table (4 people + dog). Nice cosy atmosphere and nicely located on main shopping street

The hospitality is more than amazing ! The food in the restaurant by the attic is unexplainable… the rooms are artistic and super amazing … the hotel is a piece of art … it was built is 1780 and hosted the first Rico in Switzerland! Review for the restaurant: We had a great time at the restaurant Alpenclub. It is a very welcoming atmosphere in swiss style. The food was amazing and so was the dessert. Staff was very friendly especially one young, german man. Had very great chats with him, thank you. Prices are moderate for Switzerland

Restaurant Alpenclub surpassed my expectations! Beef tartare and chinois fondue was spectacular. A tinge of Sherry to broth after was heavenly - I must say I was extremely bloated from soup after as I struggled to stop myself.

avoid room 11 and 12 - the room smelled badly and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable

We were at the Fondue Stube and had a good time. Service was good and very friendly. The fondue itself was very nice; it's prepared with cheese from the Engelberg valley so it tastes a little different from your typical fondue. The room is all wooden, very cozy. If you can, ask for a table on the main street side, the decor is nicer.

Service was very friendly and professional. We had the smoke beef brisket and the kalbs cordonbleu. Both were served hot and were very good. Views from the terrace were very nice. Prices are in line restaurants of this quality in Switzerland. Would highly recommend!

We had a dinner at this place. We picked the Fondue with the Charcuterie, it was really great. Wine was not good. A bit pricey overall but good food and really cosy place.

Beautiful, nice and cozy hotel with lots of charm. Room was amazing and rustic, their restaurants are cute, breakfast was delicious and we loved the sauna area, that we used after a long, active day in the mountains. Thanks for everything, Alpenclub Team!

We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and dining at their restaurant, and we must say it was an outstanding experience. The hotel itself was beautifully designed, Alpen-style, with comfortable rooms that made us feel right at home. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The restaurant, in particular, left me speechless. The culinary creations that came out of their kitchen were nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared with the finest ingredients, and the flavors were simply divine. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The level of service provided by the staff was truly exceptional. The restaurant manager and he’s assistant are doing an excellent and great job. We are definitely looking forward to come back!!! Thank you guys for everything!!! Well done !!

We visited the restaurant with a group of friends. Very accommodating staff, great service and food. The setting inside is really cozy Swiss style with a lot of wood everywhere.

The bbq briscit was amazing. The veal cordon bleu was good too.

The room was cozy, the wellness areas is modern and comfortable, the restaurant food is good, and all the staff is extremely friendly. They helped out with everything that we wanted to ask, as well as they could. Regarding covid safety, to me there was always enough space between different groups and everything was organised as can be expected.

We rented an appartment and loved the space, location and very qualitative equipment. A super place with very kind staff to discover Engelberg and sureoundings!

The food is to die for. And the restaurant is super cozy, with multiple rooms and low ceilings all made of woods. Without mentioning the beautiful mountain views !

Had an amazing time at the Alpenclub hotel. We stayed in the Titlis suite which was somehow bigger than even the photos made it appear. It was very rustic and charming, but the bathroom was modern and even had a heated floor. The restaurant was outstanding and a must visit- dined there twice and absolutely loved both meals. Service from the staff was excellent. Appreciate them making our stay in Engelberg so special
