    Our server had a robust body odor that lingered after he left, but was otherwise great. The old cow was recommended by their butcher. It looked really good but the taste was underwhelming and lacked the bold flavor they spoke so highly of, for me as well as my 3 companions. The Luma pork and the Luma beef were worth it.

    Having very high standards for steak and a history of being disappointed I went to Butcher's Table in Bern with moderate expectations. The concept of ordering at a butcher's counter is creative and I liked it. However the choice of meat was quite lackluster considering it was a Saturday night. The three of us ordered 3 x 350 g Rib-eyes. One Swiss handselected, one US Black Angus and one of the Swissmade Luma ones. From a visual inspection I was dissappointed to see that neither the Swiss or US steak had significant marbling... for "handpicked" steaks I would expect better. As a "dessert" we picked the 5 weeks dry-aged old cow fillet. We ordered all Steaks medium rare. As a starter I tried the bone marrow shot. The bone marrow was delicious, and the shot was a nice novelty although didn't really add anything flavor wise but would recommend trying it if you're curious. The three Ribeyes came. First thing I noticed was that there was quite a large band of well done in-between which a band of more rare was sandwiched (see photos). The Swiss Ribeye was quite tough and taste-wise it was definitely below average and not worth 85 CHF. The US Angus was my personal favorite, tender, cooked decently to medium rare and nice flavourwise, but still quite pricey at 101 CHF for 360 grams. The Luma Ribeye had the characteristic strong Luma flavor, but unfortunately the meat itself was lackluster in texture and flavour... I've had the Luma fillet before and that was definitely better. Here the pricepoint was 116 CHF for 300 gr. Lastly the old cow dry-aged fillet came. This one was cooked nicely on the medium-rare to rare side with a good crust. For a regular fillet this would have been alright, the dry-aged flavor did not come out much for a 5 week dry aged steak... Pricepoint 110 CHF for 300 gr. For actual dessert we had the cheesecake which was good but not in any way remarkable. Overall we paid 500 CHF including 5 drinks for a party of 3. The service was generally good. But we came for the meat and at this price-point it was, at best, average and only 1 out of 4 pieces could impress. Also since they basically only offer meat, I would expect better cooking accuracy.

    This is one of our favorite places in Bern. The entire staff are passionate and well informed in what they do as well as being very friendly and welcoming. Everything we have tried on the menu is very delicious. (Cocktails are superb too) In addition to eating in the restaurant, we like to buy meat to cook at home directly from the butcher, they also have delicious ham, bacon, spices, stock and sausages. Highly recommended!

    I bought about 150Fr worth of meat. The meat was delicious, but at the price it was, I would expect an impeccable service. The guy working there seemed knowledgable about the meat and the cuts, but it felt like they were in a hurry to get me out and just bot very accommodating. I’m not spending 170fr for a kilo of meat if that’s the service I get, hence not returning.

    The salad was very very good. The Mojito was amazing. The steak was a dream come true...cut to order...locally sourced...and cooked to perfection. Eat here. You will not regret it. 6 star. Oh and our waitress, Michelle is awesome.

    A place from heaven. There is no way you can find anything less than PERFECTION. We had the best Meat ever, and the service was absolutely great. Our waiter “Aron” was so nice and friendly, accommodating and informative. They have a clear set menu, but it’s very different. You choose your different cuts of meats at the weight you desire, and they cook it to your liking !. There are appetizers and side dishes, but limited.. We enjoyed all of them anyway.. Although it might look $$, but it worth it big time.

    Williams ButchersTable is a unique experience. We went as a Group of 9 people (bachelor party). We had the opportunity to pick the meat at the butchers table as we wished. The meat pieces came, as discussed with the service personnel, in two waves and on two plates. The different meat parts were always declared and tasted very good. It for sure is expensive but it's worth it for the quality of meat and the cooking skills. I would go another time with a group, if there is some special reason.

    Williams Butcher in Bern was a great steak house to try. The steaks are very good quality and well done but they are a bit pricey for two people we paid 210 Francs we just got two steaks and small portion of fries that its supposed to be for two people and two glasses of wine. I would give this place a 5 stars but the price and the waiter werent so appealing.

    We really like the concept of the restaurant. Tha meat was amazing. The butcher was very professional and welcoming. He gives us full attention and explanation about the meat. The waiters was very friendly. It is not cheap , but once in a while it's ok. We recommend 👌

    We had a great time. Fantastic restaurant, the steak is just mouth-watering... soo nice of the restaurant to give my husband a gift card as it was his birthday. The staffs were all friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.

    Best meat I've ever eaten by a length! Very convenient location, nice interior and professional and friendly staff! Sven was looking out for us the night we went as was very helpful in presenting the concept and choosing our meal! Definitely recommend a visit if you get the chanc

    What an experience. The butcher gave us 4 advices: best pork in Switzerland! And you know what? It is probably true. The tenderloin was just incredible, unique even. We completed our choice with an old cow, and wild boar ribs 👍. Not testing the bone marrow would probably be a terrible mistake. I can tell you they know the product. I am crying to not leave at Bern for being a frequent user.

    I was taken there for my bachelor party and I loved it! The atmosphere is a mix between rustic and high class dining. The meat cuts are expensive, but the price is worth it in my opinion. Everything tasted great and fresh. It was meat paradise! I will definitely be going back because I raved so much about it that now my wife wants to try it too.

    I go here at least once a week! Not only is the food amazing, the wait staff ensures to make your dining experience unforgettable. Manuel and Bevin are warm, entertaining and go out of their way to accommodate my special requests...and my group has an obsession with the fries, we simply cannot get enough of them! If you are in Bern and want an amazing meal delivered to you by an incredible wait staff, you must eat at Williams Butchers Table.

    Disappointing burger! I had the Angus cheeseburger from the lunch menu here today. French fries or chips or salad have to be ordered separately, which I skipped. The burger arrived was no frills, and I mean no frills. The burger had a rather soggy bottom. It was soaked in ketchup, which made it almost impossible for me to lift it and bite into it. The burger patty was overdone, which made it to taste rubbery. It might be a better idea to order a steak. I would not recommend the burger. A shame really since the atmosphere is really nice.

    We absolutely adore Butcher's Table. It's the best restaurant in Bern - the steaks are out of this world, the fries are even better, and every single time we've eaten there, our waiters have made the experience so amazing and memorable. Special shout outs to Beven and Manuel for always being so warm and gracious as they take care of our crazy tables! You keep us coming back!! (and the fries 😂)

    Williams is a steakhouse with a unique concept of choosing your own cut, emphasizing quality and a diverse selection of meat. Tonight, we had the luma pork, skirt steak, and old aged cow - all prepared perfectly - and delicious. The fries are a must have. We've been coming weekly for almost two years to see Bevin, Pesche, and Rico the butcher. Always exceptional service. Ended with a cheesecake and chocolate fondant. A great experience and wonderful atmosphere located in the Loeb department store, next to the Bahnhof in Bern.

    Very well located hybrid fine dining restaurant/watering hole just off the Kleine Schanze green space in close proximity to the main train station. Service was excellent despite the resource challenges posed by the pandemic. A bit on the pricey side however, so ensure your cards or wallets are well topped up before visiting!

    Go here if you LOVE and can truly appreciate excellent quality and variety of meat. Yes, it’s expensive, but you get what you pay for- first class service, a warm welcome, comfortable table, and incredible meat. They are knowledgeable about their product and love to share that knowledge with you to ensure you are getting exactly what you want. It was delicious today, a wonderful special post Christmas lunch. Thanks to all the team there!!

    Amazing meat and great drinks. Don`t go if you are hoping for a veggie dish. ;) All meat was great, but the pork stood out. The best pork I have had. French fries took me back to London, as they tasted like the chips from a fish n chips dish.
