It's a cool hotel, very nice bar area, good breakfast. I also enjoyed the couches outside. As in all hotels in Europe, two people on reception, so you have to queue. The bed was the worst part of this hotel, it is really really bad, you will definitely wake up with back pain after a night at the Renaissance!

Beautiful hotel ! Location is perfect and close to the Hauftbahnhof station. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious ,clean, nice view from the window. Slept soundly in their comfy bed. Only thing strange is their toilet is separate in another room. Also the shower/ tub was too high & half glass doors. Floor would get wet while showering. We had an amazing breakfast at the 15th floor lounge. Very clean, eggs , bacon, salmon, pretzels, croissants, good coffee , juices, etc. You will have to pay 1st at front desk to get your car out of the garage. There is no credit card machine at the gate by the garage. I will definitely come back as the staff is very kind!

A clean, modern Renaissance hotel in what I assume is a modern business park. Convenient for travellers, near to train and tram stations. Mountain view room was nice. Lack of accessible plug sockets - be sure to take Swiss diamond adapters, otherwise the only standard type socket is near the desk. Would be nice to see more sockets near bed. Breakfast had good variety. Friendly staff at breakfast and bar.

Amazing hotel and amenities. We got upgraded to a club room (booked a superior room originally) as soon as we checked in as they were having issues with their hotel systems and we could not have a more comfortable and pleasant stay. The room had an amazing view of Zurich's financial district and surrounds, with a very dreamy and comfortable bed as well as a great bathroom (and separate toilet which was a nice surprise). The club lounge had spectacular views and a nice variety of snacks, wine and beer on tap (all self serve). In the morning the lounge had a great american breakfast which filled us up plenty. The staff were very friendly, helpful and happy to be working there. Loved the ambience of this hotel and the vibe and finished up our trip in Switzerland in style. Truly a 5 star hotel and would recommend to anyone staying for a vacation or business.

In name 5 star but for me, in reality no more than a 3star. Never seen a suite this empty. 1 bottle of water in the fridge. A bit disappointing.

So much potential, but what a letdown! Great location, loads of interesting places and restaurants nearby. Titanium level, got an upgrade to a corner room, which was very nice. But it stops there. It seems management is trying to compete by lowering nightly fee, but reducing staffing to such a low level, things no longer are taken care of. E.g: - sauna/ fitness room showers and bathrooms had no soap or conditioner (large bottles, meaning this has been going on for a while) - sauna is open, but only 30 min reservation possibile (not really enough time) - wooden door handles in sauna completely missing/broken - breakfast buffet was mediocre, hot items were cold, in general not very nice or appealing - lounge is "open", but a disaster. Only open starting 3 pm, with some snack items. Evening services meant 2 items were added, (ham stuffed dough balls and chips with awful guacamole), both not tasty. The employees seemed surprised that I felt this was a disappointing lounge service. - it seemed some employees were doing multiple jobs If enough care were given to all, it could be a fabulous place. We shortened our stay and went to the Marriott. What a world of difference! Always fantastic service and quality at the Marriott. Don't recommend the Ren

I usually only write positive reviews but this hotel was so disappointing other than their amazing breakfast staff! That’s the only reason I gave this a 2 star. The Arabs/Egyptian staff were such jerks for every single question. So arrogant and condescending. One time the guy looked straight at me and walked away in the middle of my question. If you are in the hospitality arena, be hospitable and leave your prejudices at home. The Swiss staff were always kind and tried to help. I do not recommend a stay here. The rooms are tiny and the bathrooms even smaller. Not worth the price and the staff made it worse.

We checked in with our daughter who has a higher Marriott status. When we asked if we could get a room next to her, Jason upgraded us in order to do so. I used gym, nice view and good equipment. Breakfast and club lounge are nice and well kept all the time. Since this hotel also houses Viking Cruise groups, breakfast time was a bit hectic but the staff tried their best to serve everyone as quickly as possible. Very impressive. Housekeeping did a good job for 5-days stay. Oh, about the location, we found a best free public swimming pool, right in the river nearby Flussbad Au-Höngg, highly recommended.

I would say it's a superior 3 star hotel than a 5 star hotel. What 5 star hotel does not offer slippers to its guests? And when we called the room service they never pick up the phone. Oh and we run out of sanitary bags and they never brought any 3 days on. By the way, toilet is strangely placed in a separate room from the bathroom with no toilet bin. At least the room doesn't have those nasty carpets. Its location is outside central Zurich so you will need to take a tram to go to the centre. The station is very close and you can use tram no. 4 to get to the centre in 10 minutes. The breakfast was good but one morning the cheese run out and they never brought more to buffet.

Great service, as you'd expect from a Renaissance hotel worldwide. It did help that we got upgraded to a suite. The hotel is conveniently located, at a 7-10 minute's walk from the Zurich HB. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and had a great view of the city. The breakfast was delicious and was a good spread. No complaints. Highly recommended.

The hotel is a bit dated, but it has good facilities. Good service and accommodating staff. The decorative use of books in the reception and the dining room is imaginative. The location is convenient but not pretty. The view of building rooftops from our room was not very interesting. Food is expensive. It is a good hotel for a business trip.

Our Junior Suite room was comfortable and spacious, with a button that helps to draw or open all the blinds. Though the view overlooks the train tracks, that didn’t bother us. One minus point is water from the shower would still splash out of the bathtub—which was deep and nice to soak in—despite having a glass that was meant to keep water out. The Executive Lounge has probably one of the more well-designed interiors I’ve experienced, with decent snacks. The view from the lounge was quite gorgeous as well. They also had a sauna that has views of the city, though we found it strange there were rules for wearing swimsuits only (which is not the norm for Swiss sauna culture, as we’ve been informed). Despite not being in the city center, it takes 15-20 mins by the closest 4 tram to get into old town, which is a very easy ride. It’s also a 5-min walk from the nearest train station as well that could easily get you anywhere, including the airport.

Great business hotel, location not ideal for tourists. Very comfortable bed, slight noises from train tracks. Breakfast was good, I loved the Bircher Müsli! Lounge has a very homely feel, very comfortable to work from.

I recently had an extremely unsatisfactory experience at the Zurich Renaissance Hotel, despite my platinum elite status and a decade-long loyalty to Marriott. The check-in process was lackluster, providing no acknowledgment of my loyalty over the years. The room, while appearing clean, presented a multitude of issues. The drain was clogged, the shower head leaked water, and there were even urinal flies in the bathroom. The door security latch was malfunctioning, compromising my sense of safety. What added to my frustration was an intrusive knock on my door shortly after checking in, despite the prominent "do not disturb" sign. This disrupted my sleep and left me thoroughly dissatisfied. As a loyal customer, I had high expectations for my stay, especially when it comes to two crucial elements in a Marriott hotel – a peaceful and restful experience and a sense of safety and security. Unfortunately, both were sorely lacking during this stay, making it the worst experience I've had with the brand in the past decade. I expected more from a brand that I've trusted for so many years.

The rooms here were pretty nice and the hotel had everything I needed. It was a bit weird that there was a seperate toilet and sink and a separate shower and sink. The hotel also had a pretty nice club lounge and gym. The only downside to this hotel was the location as it is not centrally located as it is located in a more industrial area that is not as nice as district 1.

As a titanium member I am disgusted. There were at least a dozen flies in the room. I spoke to the front desk and they sent housekeeping, but the job was not well done. There were still bugs in the room, hair and crumbs on the nightstand, stains on the curtains, etc. do not waste your money. The bright side is that the lounge and Ishant are wonderful.

Pretty hotel with a modern clean look. The rooms are very large and clean, comfortable beds. The only issue because there's no carpeting, was a toddler running back and forth above me at night; also the adults were heavy walkers. Keep that in mind if you stay here, walk softly. There's a bakery across the parking lot so it's convenient to get a sandwich or croissant, coffee etc.

Beautiful property. Plastic bed sheets make for a sweaty sleeping experience. No hair dryer. Great bar.

This hotel is great both for business as well as leisure travel. Located in Zurich West, it is just 2 minutes from the next Tram stop and 5 minutes from Bahnhof Hardbrücke and hence easily reachable from everywhere in Zurich. Rooms are very spacious and modern. The higher floors have an amazing view. Breakfast is delicious. Staff is very friendly

Arrived on a transfer from a Rhineland-Palatinate river cruise and was pleasantly surprised to be given our room and it was only 10:30. Definitely a well run quality hotel. Our room was huge and the bed comfortable. Only stayed 1 night so did not use their facilities. Very close to the tram for access to the Centre.

This is a beautiful hotel with spectacular rooms....nicely decorated and including great features. Clean. Friendly staff. Appears to be slightly understaffed (who isn't these days?) so patience is a good thing to have packed in your suitcase!! Greatly appreciated that it's a 2 minute walk to the tram.. And that all public transportation is exceptionally easy to use in Zurich! Highly recommend!

great location (very quiet), and only takes 4-6 minutes to downtown by drive. There is limited parking space (free) in front of the hotel. Staff were nice. Overall the room was clean. However, it took one day to get extra towel. There is no door in the walk-in shower area which was not convenient. Also the bed mattress and pillows were very discomfortable.

My experience here was great. I got a very large room on the 14th floor. The bathroom was good, it had a tub, not all have s tub so if that it’s important for you make sure to ask. Usual modern hotel decor, friendly staff. The highlights are the sauna in the 15th flood wit a view and the breakfast buffet, so many choices, self serve coffee makers etc. the A/C in the room was great. That’s always an issue in European hotels, not here, except the lobby area that was so hot under direct sun 🌞 They could use some curtains. There are 2 Coop supermarket, one for quick picks and one with more groceries only 10 mins walk. The hotel is about 25 minutes from Lake Zürich and the city center and you can take tram 4 (left of the hotel or 8 a 5 minute walk to the right.

Fantastic hotel in Zurich! Very nice staff, clean premises and great rooms with all that you need. Nice views from the windows and tasty breakfast in the morning. If you need to get to the airport from here, it is recommended to simply pre-book an Uber which will be less expensive. Overall, a great experience.

The room was good and the breakfast. Private parking available but it cost 30 Frank per night with hotel discount, far from the center of the city about 15 minutes driving or u can take a subway after walking 4 minutes. Starbucks is near which was good somehow

Outside the city with easy access via the metro. We have an extremely spacious bedroom. The plaza below gives you an easy stroll to restaurants about 7 minutes away. They have inside/Outside seating for evening cocktail. Along with, a restaurant that seemed popular.

Good 3-star hotel, really not 5-star. Room floor was not very clean, breakfast with cold eggs..., lack attention to details. Personel very friendly, but need better management.

We enjoyed dinner in the fabulous restaurant. The food was delicious 🤤 with exciting tastes and Diverse menu with wonderful presentation. Friendly staff and great value . Thank you and will definitely be back .

First, the staff was very friendly and helpful and there is nothing to complain there. The hotel however pretends to be 5-star, and it is far from it. It starts with the loose relationship that the services touted on its webpage have with reality. There is no hairdresser, despite what its webpage says. Before booking, I called the reception to confirm that they have valet parking, which they did. Arriving at the hotel, the receptionist told me that no, there is absolutely no valet parking. The room was a depressing affair: no minibar, no sparkling water, no spoons, no coffee making facility, the furniture cheap--institutional. It's the unfortunate combination of US hotel quality and overworked staff with Swiss prices.

At most this is a two star hotel. The room was very depressing, our drapes were torn from the rod on one side of the window which the cleaning staff merely tucked it under so that it looked normal, only one bottle of water per room per the reception desk, he advised that the tap water was fit to drink. The bathroom had a musty odor and really did not look too clean. Furnishings were ugly and very minimal. Overall the hotel was very depressing and felt unclean to us. The wait staff was excellent however— my only reason for giving it a two star rating.

Thank you, Mark. Thank you, Mohsen, for the reception, good treatment and good taste in dealing, and I do not care about the weak evaluation of some opinions that want five-star service for a small amount. Whoever wants to enjoy must be generous to himself and take spacious rooms, but some want free life, sorry, this is not the right place for you

The staff- with a very special mention to Teresa at the restaurant!!!! What a smiley positive attitude and love can do!!!! This lady should be put at the hotel entrance and attending elite members… as a Marriott member with ambassador status, rarely have I seen such hospitality! Thanks for making our stay memorable!

I enjoyed our stay there. The room was clean, modern and very very decent alltogether. The view was amazing and the Spa was quite organized. Can recommend. The lounge was also a good experience.

What makes a good hotel great is their friendly and forever helpful staff. Location is a few minutes walk away from the train station, the view from the room was generous and awesome. Breakfast was special, though buffet style but staff came forward to deliver juice and eggs.

A decent Marriott setup. The gym is not great, though. Five treadmills, three elliptical trainers, some free weights, but no bikes at all (which was the only thing I was needing). Please, swap out one treadmill or elliptical for an upright bike or spin bike! As a fairly high level cycling athlete, a hotel gym with no bike is a no-go for me, so won't be back unless this changes.

Located in the Techno Park area of Zurich, the Renaissance Zurich Tower is convenient to many restaurants, shopping, and attractions. We stayed there a week and a half. Located less than a block from the Tram, one can get to many spots within 1/2 hour and inexpensively as well. The Hardbrucke Train Station is a block away for travel outside Zurich. All the rooms are comfy, but some are better than others. The staff is gracious and extremely helpful. Since it's a tower, views from the rooms are often awesome as is the attached sunset. We'll stay there again.

Good hotel, nice location and friendly staff. The rooms could be improved and updated. Not exactly up to 5 star standards in my opinion.

This hotel consistently tries to claim that all prepaid reservation on Marriott website are non-refundable. This is absolutely wrong, often prepaid rates are like "prepay in full, non-refundable if cancelled less than 1 day before arrival" or "prepay in full, non-refundable if cancelled more than 1 day after booking". However this hotel's front desk on 2 occasions (one in 2021 and one just recently) tried to deny me refund even when a reservation is cancelled within the prescribed timeframe.
