Stayed at this hotel for 2-nights for leisure, and overall had an excellent experience. The location of this hotel is perfect, walking distance from the Zurich city center. The property has a very sophisticated modern feel to it with large beautiful lobbies. The room was spacious, bed and pillows comfortable, and the bathroom has nice amenities. The M Club Lounge was really nice with a great selection of delicious food and beverages, and the staff serving in the lounge was excellent! The breakfast buffet in this hotel is also amazing with extensive selection, and the service once again excellent. My only dissatisfier about this hotel is the parking. When we first arrived, we parked in P2 but had no easy way to access the lobby because a room key was required to access the elevators. But otherwise, I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

15min walk from Zurich station or take the tram with just 5min walk. Easy access. Love that Limmat River is right in front of the hotel. We just took the towels & jump in. So cool. Rooms & breakfast are both impeccable with great view too.

I m so disappointed Marriott . Except the lovely guy from the reception Everything was not a five stars hotel!!! The mattress was hard and the pillow was (way) too soft… hate it🤬 And you need to ask from the reception to clean the room and if not they wont clean it for you!!! Next time if you want to be a 5 stars hotel be a 5 stars hotel!!! Last time in Marriott Zurich for sure Thank you

Incredible hotel in a great location, excellent staff and great service. Helped when I forgot my adapter and just gave me a spare one to borrow. Easy to walk to the city centre and only 8 minutes from the train station. A great base for a weekend or a stay in Zurich.

I can’t understand how this hotel can call itself 5 star. I’d give it 2 to 3 stars at best! The lobby looks updated but the rooms and hallways are dark and dated. The hallways smell like smoke. There was black mold in our bathroom. The bedroom was so small, and the bathroom didn’t have hooks for our towels so our towels sat on the ground. The bed was so uncomfortable I couldn’t sleep. The carpet was super gross. The service was good, but all in all, this was the worst Marriott my husband and I have ever stayed in.

A nice Marriott with good service. I found the bed very comfortable but small. The staff were all well trained and nice. The gym was fantastic and well equipped. The rooms were not spacious but were fine. The location is right on the river and about a 10 minute walk to the train station and about 20 minutes by foot to the lake. Overall it is a good hotel.

Zurich Marriott is very well located and has ample parking. The service and the breakfast is superb. There is also a Marriott Bonvoy club on the ground floor. Despite the extravagant price, there is inadequate soundproofing so the lower level rooms of the hotel get a lot of street noise. However, overall the room is comfortable. Would recommend this hotel with a warning. Do not expect the level of luxury you’re paying for.

Avoid at all cost! The worst hotel experience ever! The entrance was confusing and the reception were all clearly not well trained especially when it comes to giving direction. First of all the reception told us to walk a long way to reach the lobby to check in when the entrance is only across the road. Then the 2 receptions gave two different directions when we asked for the direction of the Thai restaurant. We were told that no reservation is needed when we asked whether we should make a reservation as it is a Saturday night. The restaurant was almost full when we arrived but luckily there was still a table for us. The shower area is too slippery that my toddler almost fell and hit her head when she moves gently. I was lucky to be able to grab her quick enough. The water temperature fluctuates from warm to scorching hot then icy cold within seconds. Luckily my toddler’s skin was not burn. The worst thing is our kettle did not work so my husband called to get another kettle. I had to call half an hour later as nobody sent any kettle. This time I made it clear that I needed the kettle to warm the milk for my toddler in order to put her to bed. It’s been an hour now but still no kettle sent. The soundproof is poor. It’s 11:26pm and I could still hear loud noises from other rooms. Honestly we have never been to any hotel as worst as this. What a way to end our holiday in Zurich.

I highly recommend this five star hotel especially if you are a Marriott member. The M club is great and we get breakfast and snack there everyday. We got the new North wing room and you have to walk through a long sky walk.. A bit of annoyance but not too bad. The room is very clean, new, spacious and modern. Love it 😍 Finally it locates just north of all the activities you will enjoy and a 10 min walk to Zurich HB.

Watch out when you book any service with them. I asked for a massage as a gift for my wife. The massage therapist simply extended it, asked for the signature for the extension AFTER the massage and then I was supposed to pay for it. The hotel staff did not consider our opinion of the situation at all and simply demanded the payment. Never had such an incident with a Marriott Hotel before.

Our family stayed here last month. We were a party of 9 people - and everyone from kid to adult, absolutely loved this hotel! Very clean and comfortable rooms. Staff was just amazing. The check in was smooth and easy. They quickly fulfilled our request for an extra bed in one of the rooms. While we were waiting for a couple rooms to be ready, they gave us access to their lounge to relax and grab a bite to eat. One staff member ( I believe his name was Yasmeen?) just went above and beyond in his services! Helped us bring our bags in, got them to our four different rooms on 3 different floors, got us water bottles right away upon request, greeted EVERYONE around with a big smile. That guy deserves a raise/promotion! Overall, everything about this hotel was really great - location, cleanliness, staff, breakfast, everything. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Zurich - which I hope we do soon - I loved Zurich!!

The service at this place has room for improvement and this is the reason why I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 4. My service experience in the past here has been good, therefore I won't go below 3. The hotel has a lot of potential for businesses to host events and seminars. I've stayed here before and my experience was a good one. For rooms and locations I would rate it as a 4 For service and service consistency would rate it as a 2 Average 3

Then hotel is not pretty from the outside but there are nice rooms inside. I phoned room service early one evening and despite a recorded message telling me that my call was important, I ended up giving up after 15 minutes of waiting. Not great for a five star hotel. My window had a view of a couple in an apartment nearby who appeared to be 'putting on a show' for the hotel guests. I won't go into detail but the hotel management might want to consider doing asking them to draw their curtains in future. The floor numbering is somewhat deceptive, floor 4 and 24 are essentially the same, so floor 25 is actually floor 5. During my stay, there were a high proportion of entitled hotel guests. They seemed to find things like elevators to be puzzling. Every time I came out of one, there would be someone who would attempt to enter it before I was able to get out. They always looked absolutely astonished, and rather angry, to see me, as if they'd never had to wait for anyone else in their entire lives. If I got into an elevator with one of them, they always appeared surprised that I was travelling to a different floor to them. Zurich, with its numerous sex shops and aggressive drivers, is an odd place. I don't think I'll be rushing back.

Stayed 2 nights on our arrival and another 4 nights 3 weeks later before flying back to Malaysia. A very nice hotel with everything is upkeep to an excellent standard. Our room had a very beautiful sunset view. Staff are very friendly and are always with courteous smile A Vietnamese staff trainee was very alert and caring ,when my husband had a gentle cough because of a slight choke, she immediately handed over a glass of hot water for him. Very impressed!

Nice place to stay and vacations relax the staff really friendly and excellence, their behaviour is very good Excellent location, very much professional and polite, the food was amazing, and the staff were a wonderful fantastic hotel. Quality finishings in all the public rooms. The bedroom was bright and well decorated. The bed was too bouncy for my liking. The bathroom and shower were stunning. Beautiful hotel in a great location. The rooms are nicely appointed. Would love to go back if my husband and I have time again.!

Far away from 5 stars! Old rooms, breakfast buffet offering extremely slim and the spa leaves much to be desired. Price not justifiable.

A convenient and recently updated Marriott hotel. The modern wing has the new modern styling that has been the recent trend for Marriott properties. The rooms are smaller than normally with a Superior room. The rooms are well appointed and bring with them all of the usual Marriott comforts. Great beds, great bedding and pillows. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the main train station and a convenient 15 minute ride to the airport. Make sure to eat at White Elephant, conveniently attached to the hotel. Finest Thai food I have ever enjoyed.

Home away from home. Great hotel. Special thanks to Adrian who took great care of my colleagues and I after a late trip from Gran Canaria to Zurich. Not only was he super friendly and helpful in finding great spots for us to see the next day, but he made sure that even though late on a Saturday night, when food and drink options were sparse, that we got some snacks and refreshments to make up for a long flight. The hotel is in a great location to see lots of the riverfront and lakefront in Zurich. I was only in for a Sunday, but we had a great time in the city. AND on a Sunday night, the bar staff took great care of us until midnight after we were the last remaining. Really nice, and a great bed to sleep in.

In the beginning i thought it was a good hotel but when i hot my room it take me long time to go there 2 different elevator, when i arrived there was no essentials we kept calling them to bring. The most and main issue was the receptionist Sven dinkheller if he is such rude and disrespectful person. We asked him to have a coffee and wait in the linox but he kicked us out of the hotel for no reason! I don’t recommend you to stay you will never feel welcomed

If I could give Marriott Zurich a 7-Star, I would. The hotel is sensational, the service is outstanding and everything about it is just magnificent. Thank you so much to Fabio, Sonia, Valentina, Mint, the staff at the check in desk and the concierge. You all are amazing and I am absolutely loving my time here. Thank you for everything you’ve done to make my stay so memorable. Will recommend Marriottt Zurich to everyone!!

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Zurich Marriott Hotel! The customer service was top-notch - everyone I interacted with went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were spotless and well-appointed, with everything I needed for a relaxing and convenient stay. Overall, I can't recommend this hotel highly enough - it truly exceeded all of my expectations!

We stayed here only one night and it was simply great. Sometimes all it takes is one person who makes the difference and in our case we were lucky to check in and meet Fabian at the reception! He was super attentive, professional , knowledgeable and friendly! All our questions and needs were answered in the best way. The hotel is lucky to have him on board! We were upgraded to a wonderful room which was great. The lounge is an issue that should be addressed as it gets very crowded and it seems there is no supervision on who walks in and thus it gets busy and messy.

The location was great just a few minutes walking from the train station. The staff was friendly. I wasn't keen on my room in the north building. It seemed very isolated and only had a view of a small street in the back of the building.

Nice hotel close to the train station and walking distance to the city center. Easy tram connections as well. Staff was friendly. M lounge had ok breakfast. It would be nice to have a bigger lounge area with a more diverse breakfast offering. Rooms were nice and clean.

Nice Hotel. Room are clean and well equipped with everything you need. Water pressure good. Bed and pillows are good. Food in the lounge is really good. If you are Bonvoy elite you can get breakfast and light dinner with alcohol. Taste good for the food there. Staffs are helpful and nice. Elevator during my stay had some problem so it's long time for waiting. Location is might not so comfortation. Not quite easy to walk there from central station. Almost 1 kilometer and if you have luggage is not easy. TRAM station is not far but there are steps to climb. For taxi is the most convenient but sometime traffic is not good and it's quite expensive. But for overall I will be there again if I go to Zurich.

Perfect location! A special shoutout to Pedro, the main star, for his incredible support during our stay and the amazing socio-cultural debate we had. Our group was truly amazed. I greatly appreciated his advice to visit Rhine Falls and then to watch my first Champions League match! Please, make sure this message reach Pedro. The world would be a better place with more people like him. He deserves everything. Such an amazing and incredible guy!

We loved this hotel! Fabian and all of the front desk staff where amazing and made us feel so welcome. It's very close to the train station and walking distance to old town. Breakfast was also good in the M Lounge and the view from our junior suite was amazing. Our only complaint is the elevator situation. We almost missed our flight because it took us 30 minutes to get down. Only 2 out of 3 elevators where working the day we were leaving. Otherwise, it's a great hotel!

This is not a 5 star hotel - maybe 3 stars. The thing that disappointed me the most was the fact that they charged us $40 USD worth of mini bar items (Kit Kat bar, energy bars, etc) when we did not eat any of those things. It seems like terrible business practice to charge people for things they didn't use/consume. Marriott should know better. I would never stay here again.

We booked a Superior Room, 2 doubles for 4 persons. We stayed for 3 nights. It was quite bad. It has 2 twin beds. The beds are too small to accommodate 2 persons. For one bed, there's barely enough space on either side to get on the bed. No bedside table between the two beds since there's no space. There's one small table with only two chairs. That's all. The room rent is €504 per night without breakfast. The shower was leaking from multiple places. The room wasn't cleaned after day 1.

We stayed here for 3 days 2 night to celebrate my birthday. Staff was nice and attentive. Brought me some wine and birthday cupcake to our room which was very nice and clean. Bar area is quite nice and cocktails, amazing! Location was excellent near to the main tourist area with many restaurants and shopping along with attractions. All within walking distance. Views from up top were beautiful. Certainly recommend this place.

Great location for exploring Old Town Zurich by foot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and made good use of the space given for each room. The bed was comfortable and the thermostat allowed you to adjust the temperature as needed. Breakfast at the hotel was a little pricier than you would find elsewhere, but there was so much food that so long as you come hungry it is worth it. Highly recommend.

Very kind, warm and excellent service from staff, from the welcome desk to breakfast, everyone was great. The bed was extremely comfortable. Perhaps one of the best breakfast I ever had to experience in a hotel for variety as well as large choice of healthy options. Would go back there for sure on my next trip to Zurich.

Rooms are alright, but the service is very slow. We had to call twice to get our suitcases and the third time when we said we will come and get the ourselves was when they actually came. And this is in October which is a relatively slower season. Biggest advantage is their location, it's a 5-7 min walk from Zürich HB (main train station). Their concierge and sporty staff is very helpful in telling you about trains and routes, so don't hesitate in asking them.

What made my stay very favorable is the staff. They are very caring and friendly. Particularly Marcus, Lucia and …can’t think of the others. They all are attentive. I booked a tour after having checked out and was able to leave my suitcase with them. Upon returning, staff gave me a key to enjoy club lounge til my airport transfer arrived. That was indeed a cherry on top for a platinum elite member like me. The club lounge is a bit small and offers variety of food options. I couldn’t find water bottle to take with me, only tap is available. My room was small but otherwise bed was comfortable. No elegance at this property, it’s convenient with an amazing crew which makes your stay wanna return back.

Been here a few times now and we love this hotel. Location is amazing and very close to the train station..absolutely do the hike to top of Zurich from here (12km but stunning walk and view!) and you would feel that you are in the country side. Great rooms, service, breakfast and overall, really nice place to stay.

The hotel was clean and in a great location. While the views were fantastic, it was next to an urban beach with weekend bands. If you need to sleep due to jet lag, this is not the hotel for you. The rooms are small. A queen bed is similar to an American full/double. The rooms were clean, and the service was superb. The lounge was okay, we've had better food in Manchester and Copenhagen. We enjoyed the walkability of the location, perfect for our weekend getaway.

First of all, the service was absolutely perfect. We were welcomed by Zoltan and Markus who were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the north building of the hotel and the rooms were comfortable , with AC and the sofa bed was so comfortable !!! It’s a 15 min walk to the center. The Thai restaurant and their breakfast are a must.

Stayed 2 nights and had an amazing time!! The hotel was within walking distance to the train station. The hotel provided a great upgrade to a suite overlooking the river for being a gold member. The room was spotless. I cant say enough about the great customer service the entire hotel staff provided. They went above and beyond. The front desk staff, bar personnel, Room staff were all great!!! One of the best Marriott stays!! Look forward to staying here again!!

We love this hotel, great location in the center and walking distance to the center of the city. The service is great. The buffet restaurant staffs show very inviting and helpful to the customers when we had our buffet every morning in the hotel. There is a Black waiter (I forgot his name), he is very friendly and make sure all the customers are doing well. We would like to high light a front desk staff Ms. Fabienne Flury. Miss FLury did very best and extra effort trying to helping us when we complained the top bed sheet in our room was missed. She gave us a free buffet and helped us to find the COVID information for the flight and train at our request. She is an excellent staff to Marriott hotel. We wish her the best and would like to give her our best wishes in her career. She gave us a very good customer service in this regard. We are happy Marriott hotel have such a great team with all these high quality staff in their hotel. We definitely will love to come back when we visit Zurich again. Thanks to Marriott Zurich!!

Terrific in every way. Great corner suite facing the river, nice breakfast buffet in the morning and most importantly, stellar service. Very enjoyable experience! Just a short walk from the central train station and along the canal, many small shoppes and restaurants nearby. Friendly, professional front desk member checked me in quickly, got to squeeze in a refreshing workout in the spacious fitness facility on the 3rd floor. Enjoyed an outstanding dinner in 1 of their 2 onsite restaurants. My large room on the 31st floor was freshly serviced prior to arrival, featured a very comfortable king bed, and views of the city. Will definitely stay again the next time I’m in Zurich

This Marriott is very conveniently located only 7-8min away from the Zurich HB. The staff was very friendly and helpful. But at times it feels like they might be short-staffed. The restaurants and bar were both excellent, but at the same time, they are on the pricier side. Our room had some sound proofing issue and we can hear the TV and people from another room. Other than that, this is a fine hotel for both business and pleasure.

Came here for brunch recently. Fantastic variety and value for money. This is exactly what brunch should be. The scrambled eggs at the buffet were done perfectly, which is usually a challenge for brunch places as they tend to overcook. Sushi was good for the circumstances (i.e. Switzerland not being by the coast and sushi being served on buffet.) Steak was a bit dry too. But other than that all the food was spectacular! Staff weren't so attentive with replacing cutlery but were very friendly overall. Empty plates were removed rapidly.

Stayed here for one night on transit, but this will be my first choice next time I go Zurich. The room was not very spacious, but had everything plus amazing views. The best thing was that it was just a ten minute walk from the old town, where there is an abundance of bars and restaurants. It's also just 15 minutes away from the airport.

It’s NOT Worthy to stay for the price. is it a 5 Star Hotel and 5 star services? NO & NO I am not try to bashing this establishment, but I am just sharing with you my experiences during our stay, and because I paid. 1. We had a King Superior Room (good size) but it was very noisy to sleep, due to the fact it was right by the street corner. Because the hotel is old, windows couldn’t stay shut, and so you would hear the wind noise at night. (We did call front desk for engineer) 2. Bathroom - like many other guests had mentioned about the showers head and water residue. Not so good experience to take a shower. 3. Services- no 5 stars services when I checked in or during the stay, just like any regular 3 Hotel that you’ve booked just to sleep.

This hotel has many great qualities. The location is close to the Train station (10 min walk) and a tram stop (less than 5 mins). The room had amazing views and the room was nicely setup. The staff at the front desk and the M lounge were really friendly and made the experience nicer. Only reason of why it's not a 5 star review is that the walls are kind of thin in the rooms. I could hear my neighbour speak every night. They weren't shouting but just talking.

Had a rough start with one of the staff being unhelpful and borderline rude, however the manager found out without me asking, and reached out to me to, made a real effort to ensure my stay was comfortable and productive. The only downside was the lack of vegan options on the dinner menu. The Thai restaurant did have some options but not stellar, better off trying a place in town.

  • 5/5 Marie E. 2 years ago on Google
The Zurich Marriott Hotel offers both these advantages. All 3 restaurants, a Bar with a menu of international cuisine, the Swiss restaurant Echo offering traditional Swiss food, and last but not least the White Elephant with amazing Thaï food, are a true treat. The rooms are modern and generously equipped. What more do you need for a pleasant stay in the beautiful city of Zurich!

  • 2/5 Alex C. 2 years ago on Google
I am Bonvoy platinum member, so stay at Marriott hotels a lot. This was one of the worst hotels, the location is nice and the view was great, however the room itself was too small and with really bad ventilation, which was worsened by shower drainage system not working properly – water would stay in the shower for a day and longer, which created bad smell of swamp. In addition to that, rooms showing aging signs, some parts were falling off, lots of scratches etc. Great restaurants though. Cannot give more than two stars because rooms are most important in a hotel. Moved out to another Marriott hotel to stay two more nights in Zurich.

What is not to love!!! We stayed in the suite which was on the top floor and had the spectacular entire city view💕 the staff were amazing, they have a great lounge and fabulous restaurants! The white elephant food was the best Thai food I ever ate! Cant wait to be back! Thanks to the wonderful staff who made our stay memorable and pleasant!

We had a spacious room that over looks the old city and river. The best part about this hotel is that you can exit and walk down ome side of the river all the way to the lake and then come back on the other side. You will see most of the must see spots. I appreciated the concierge enthusiasm to help us. He was from Italy but loved exploring the area as well. He was very helpful.

We stayed in a Superior Room with two twin beds. The view from the room was not great. The tub/shower combination was uncomfortable getting in and out of but not slippery. The location of the hotel was good: right on the river, 5 minutes walk to the bus station parking lot where we took two day trip tours, 10 minutes walk to the train station, only 10 minute drives from the airport, and 5-19 minutes walk to the Old Town area. It was a pleasant stay but nothing exceptional.

Wonderful stay in Zurich! Spacious rooms, lots of in hotel options for restaurants and bar if you don't want to venture out. Easy walk to explore the city on foot and close to train station and quick airport access as well.

Stayed at Marriott Zurich with my family during the holidays in late November. The hotel staff was warm and welcoming. One thing I liked was that the location of the hotel was very close to the main Zurich train station. The hotel rooms were clean and the cleanliness was good. I also liked their amenities like the body lotion offered. Breakfast was lovely, offering a wide array of traditional Swiss food. I suggest that guests should try out the hotel restaurants as they were really good, especially the Thai cuisine restaurant. Enjoyed my stay here very much, thanks a bunch!

The service provided by all staff is excellent. The Club M lounge is comfortable and the food offerings are good. The rooms are efficient but not spacious. Quiet and calm is the area around the hotel, but be prepared to walk at least 20 minutes or use taxi, Uber or public transit to city center. The hotel has 2 good restaurants but you need to get away from hotel for more offerings.

Really enjoyed my stay. Super Friendly staff. Rooms are clean. Room service is really fast when I order pillows or towels. Location is perfect. Within walking distance to Zurich old town.

Location of the hotel is convenient close to central station. Personnel and service in general was super good, but otherwise value for money quite low. While value for money in Switzerland is always a difficult question, in this case particularly. There were several factors in play. Food was ok, but a bit pricey for what you get, the decoration was ok, but a bit worn off. Overall the maintenance of the venue could be better (something broken in the shower, drain in the shower didn't work super well, some minor damage in the furniture). Maybe it's time for a bigger remake of the hotel. Also I can't get past the fact that how ugly the building is. Kind of common problem in Zurich that has seen many of its buildings built during the certain period of time, but even in this group this one is particularly ugly. Overall I don't like these big chain venues. While labeled as a 5-star hotel, I have managed to find 4-star venues that are better in most respects (except the quality of service, which was honestly speaking good and most parts at 5-star level). And perhaps someone who's less allergic to the chain venues might appreciate the "chain standards" more.
