Clean, quiet, very close to S1 station- less than 300 steps! Close to the lake Breakfast includes cheese, ham, yogurt, oatmeal, corn flakes, coffee, milk, hot chocolate. Whole day tea, hot water. Use of microwave but access to fridge is only available thru reception, therefore restricted to the reception hours. Room is small but beds are solid and plenty of public space. The locker in room is also big enough. Overall a great value.

Employees are so nice, beds are comfortable and whole hostel is pretty clean. Very tasty food and there is large selection of food, in case you're vegetarian/vegan. Hostel staff will help you with absolutely anything you need, from food to informations about places you wanna visit, buy tickets and stuffs. I really recommend this place.

Hygiene, good food and costless stay

If you are traveling alone on budget this hostel is probably the best thing around zug. It's 2-3x cheaper compared to the next cheapest hotel. They only catch is you may have to share your room with other guys/gals. First week I was alone in the room, though next week I had few roommates. I really only needed a bed to sleep, so it wasn't a big deal for me. The room was extremely basic but very clean. Toilets were also very clean. I didn't shower there so I can't comment on that. The hostel is located 2 minutes from the train station, but be not afraid trains are really quiet in Switzerland and did't bother me at night with windows open. There's a free wifi and breakfast (very good as well) is included. The personnel is friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. Oh, just in case, check if your key card works. For some reason mine didn't work on the entrance door, but worked fine on the room door.

Great location, super breakfast, we had a nice large room, friendly service. Overall, we have had a lovely time in Zug's Youth Hostel.

Super freundlicher Empfang, obwohl ich 20 Minuten zu zeitig da war. Hat mich absolut abgeholt, hab mich Willkommen gefühlt. Zimmer sauber, Ausstattung i.O. - der Duschvorhang ist nicht mehr ganz meine Altersklasse, aber eine nette Erinnerung an vor 20 Jahren :-) Ich würde hier wieder übernachten & frühstücken.

Wir haben vier Tage Kurzurlaub am Zugersee verbracht. Wir kamen in der Jugendherberge unter. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber, Zimmer einfach ausgestattet, Frühstück sehr reichlich und mit frischen Produkten. Großer Aufenthaltsraum. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir hatten als Familie mit 3 kleinen Kindern das oberste, grosse Zimmer und verbrachten 2 wunderbare Tage in Zug und in der Jugi. Das Personal war immer sehr zuvorkommend und liess uns auch extra vor einer grossen Gruppe früher in den Frühstücksraum. Das Buffet war immer sehr ansprechend und fein. Als wir am Abend einmal die einzigen Essensgäste waren, wurde für uns sogar den Tisch gedeckt und wir fühlten uns wie VIP's. Vielen herzlichen Dank!

Mehrbettzimmer (4er- und 6er-Zimmer etwa eng. Wahrscheinlich normal in Jugis. Service sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Standort ist etwas versteckt. Ohne Navi hätte ich Mühe gehabt, sie zu finden.

Ausserordentliche sauber. Da bin ich wirklich sehr überrascht. Brunch und Abendessen waren sehr gut. Unsere Gruppe mit Menschen im Rollstuhl wurden von der Leitung besonders unterstützt. Vieles wurde möglich gemacht. Unsere Rollstuhl Fahrer waren sehr zufrieden und fühlten sich geborgen.
