However, I definitely see the effort to clarify this (maybe misunderstanding) and to make it better in the future. I am looking forward going there again and increase my rating here to 3 stars for the time being. [/EDIT] [EDIT] As the reply from the owner is incorrect, I have to reduce my rating by another star. It was me who ordered the tap water but I also drank more beer than water that night. There was one round where I asked for water, but not a beer, while a few rounds before I ordered only beer. The statement, that there were guests who were only ordering water is simply wrong. [/EDIT] I would love to give Brauwerk a better review, because the place itself is nice, the staff is friendly, the beer is good, so is the food, however, the fact that they refused to get us an additional glas of tap water (at this moment, we have had less tap water then other drinks), even tough we had a three digit bill with food and drinks, is simply not acceptable. If we would have only ordered tap water, I would understand it, but not in our case.

This place has very delicious food and good beer. But be careful, because the portions are huge. I had dinner here with one other person and we both ordered a appetizer each, which was a mistake, because we couldn't finish our main courses after that. The service here is also very good.

Cool surrounding for sure, well thought out concept, works for me. The menu is ok, not certain if anything is actually cooked in house or peeled out of a bag, taste is pretty good tough. Half motivated staff (hello, how are you today?) doesn't help. For a brewery owned establishment, serving their own brews it's too expensive.

Something to note if you can’t dine in: was told by our server that this restaurant does not do take away, despite this option being listed on Google. The option to eat outside was also not presented. Service was extremely unfriendly.

We had a great few hours at Brauwerk! Contrary to what another review said, or waitress was amazing. She recommended us some of their home brewed beers which were delicious. Also the White sausages in water with a prezel was an amazing snack/meal with the beer.

Brauwerk does not only impress with their high quality beers - two of them are made for the restaurant only - but also with its great food quality. Everything on their menu has its unique taste you dont get anywhere else. The chef seems to like experimenting - and he does it very well! Last but not least, the service personel (esp. Luca) is well trained and knows a lot about brewing beer.

Sehr fein, gutes Bier, leckeres Salat. Even when the kitchen is closed, they will whip up something and serve it with a smile.

Brauwerk has a huge selection of beer and the atmosphere is more like in a pub. The food was fine. They have a lot of meat options but also some nice vegetarian dishes.

I live next door and go there often. Best beer of st fallen. Nice selection, and nice service . All the waitresses are nice there which is rare, a gem in st gallen!!!
