We stayed here on our Grand Tour of Switzerland for only one night. We had booked two single rooms. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Had all one needs for one night. Lot's of pine wood. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was very tasty and also the breakfast buffet had a great variety. Next to the restaurant is a bakery, where we bought the famous Engadiner nut cake to take home. Overall a good experience. A special mention to Benedikt at the reception and Jonas in the restaurant. Very helpful and friendly staff who made us very welcome.

I didn’t find the Hotel Hauser so much “stripped down” as basic, fundamental, sufficient without glitch. I like the wood, the herbs, the spring water. It’s a relief among the high fashion shops. For families, there’s room for two kids (a rarity). The balcony with its view of the lake is great, too. Like many, we shopped for meals at Coop, and then we ate them on the balcony. Yes, there’s a shuttle to the train station, but you don’t really need it unless you have mobility problems. The walk (especially with the escalator!) is pretty easy.

Everything was terrific from the man who transferred us from the train station to the hotel after a long day on the train to the people in Reception. Every person at Reception was happy and so helpful. Our room was perfect, clean, and comfortable. Included breakfast was fabulous!! The baked goods were the best I have ever eaten (and I have eaten alot in my lifetime!!!). The Restaurant was highly recommended in Rick Steve's 2023 Switzerland book and he wasn't wrong!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Hauser. The reception staff were so welcoming, both at the start and throughout our visit. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was varied and delicious- home made baked goods and local produce. We had dinner twice in the restaurant, and again we're very impressed with the staff and with the meals we had. We also really enjoyed some drinks on the terrace and a slice of delicious cake from the bakery. On our departure we were surprised by a gift from the receptionist! The hotel is very centrally placed within st moritz and easy to reach cable cars, railway station, the lake etc. The only slight downside to that is that it can be quite noisy in the street outside during the night at weekends. But overall we really enjoyed our stay and couldn't be more impressed with the friendliness and courtesy of all the staff. We appreciated the environmental focus of the hotel, focusing on sustainability, local sourcing of materials etc.

I had a quick drink and the cheese platter at the outside. The weather was lovely. The service was, too. Gin & tonic was delicious. They had some really yummy tonic. The cheese platter was so delicious with little flags that explain the type of cheese. Lovely place.

Had one night stay in the hotel including breakfast. Everything was awesome, except for the shuttle to and fro train station was slightly delayed. Room is spacious and comes with bath tub. Temperature inside the hotel is well regulated during winter.

Great place in the center of town. Rooms and service are good. Check on their CHF 47 per day lift tickets and rail fare reimbursement deals. Family owners are there to help and maintain high standards. Economy Double room was fine.

We stayed here for 1 night (11/12/23) in room 506. The room was very spacious and clean for 4 persons. The overall condition and location of the hotel are excellent. Breakfast was more than enough to get you going for the day. The quality of food @ breakfast was great. My kids love the cheese and bread rolls. This hotel is recommended for those that want a simple and clean hotel. P.S Hotel also have shuttle service to/from train station

A wonderful hotel in the middle of the city that really cares for customers. They send a car to meet you at the train station (and take you back at departure). The room while small, was modern, comfortable with great amenities. The included breakfast is plentiful and very good.

I booked directly with the hotel, for a two night stay opting for the hotel's Garden Package. We weren't sure what to expect, however were met with friendly, welcoming staff & a selection of produce from the hotel garden! Staff were enthusiastic and passionate about their garden, home grown produce, sustainability & the environment. We had a dinner included in our package & it included home grown and fully locally sourced produce. The following morning it was arranged for us to to visit the garden, where staff were also there learning about produce being grown for the hotel, it was great to see & we were appreciative of the manager/owner taking time out to escort us there. We were pleased with our room, which was warm & comfortable with a balcony & views of the square & mountains behind. The food was excellent in the restaurant and would happily stay there again if in the area

Very very friendly people who work there, everywhere on reception, service and breakfast and dinner. Perfect Team! Really good. I have never eaten such delicious bread and also for dinner. The cheese plate and the pear bread.....great! The rooms were very nice natural with nice wood, only the step into the bathroom isn´t such as good for old people. We would absolutly come again to Hauser again

Excellent Hotel with excellent staff. We had a double room with fantastic view of Mountains. If only it had A/C I would have given it 5 stars. We will definitely stay at this hotel if we ever come back. The pick up and drop off shuttle service is a godsend too,it's a bit of a trek up a hill from the train station ( especially with cases).

The room was spacious and the facilities provided very excellent. Fittings and interior decor showed many fine touches. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed one night but wished we had stayed for more to enjoy the facilities and explore the area more.

It was a great experience and the food are good. We're only disappointed that we planned only one night stay. Little did we know that the current owner actually is part of the staffs that hosted us on check-in as well as dinner. Good location and nice simple room.

I just finished a 5-night stay at this hotel. It was outstanding!! the best thing was the people, all the workers were very friendly. The rooms are extremely clean and everything seemed very new. It has that elegant Scandinavian aesthetic: lots of wood and light colors. The location of the hotel is perfect: it's just one minute walk to the funicular up to the ski resort. And if you want to buy groceries that there's a grocery store one minute walk away. And if you arrive via railroad, it's about a 5 minute walk from the railroad station to the hotel, mostly on an escalator. I had a minor issue with my room, and the owner of the hotel resolved the issue within 10 minutes. They really seemed eager to please their guests. Finally, the restaurant was outstanding, I ate there four times, good food plus lots of authentic Swiss cuisine. I felt really comfortable there, and as I finished every day's excursion I looked forward to going back to my room, it was so comfortable.

Being first time at St.Moritz, I was happy to have chosen this hotel. Close to the train station and also to the center of the town, to the funicular station. If you plan to walk from the train station, just do not follow Google Map which instructs you to take the slope all the way up. Instead, walk to the left from the station where you soon see a sign to direct you to the escalator and elevator through parking area. This is way easier.

Our trip started well with the free transfer service to the hotel from the train station. Once we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to be offered a free room upgrade. That absolutely made our day! The service at the hotel is good and staff are polite and always ready to answer any questions you have. The complimentary breakfast was healthy and good too.

Review of the restaurant- honestly have to say that the food was absolutely amazing. The restaurant has a lovely dining area outside amd even the sand pit for youngsters. There is a vast choice of dishes and drinks with the good choice of typical Swiss food and craft beers. The staff was very attentive and lovely to talk to which overall created an amazing dinning experience. Well recommend to try their homemade cakes...gorgeous!

My wife and I enjoyed a 2 night stay in this wonderfully run family hotel in St Motitz. The room was spotless, comfortable , modern and very functional. We had dinner there one of the nights and the quality was very good. The service by the staff was exemplary and a special mention we have to give to the lady who served at breakfast, whose name was Ursula we think, for being such a lovely person. We will recommend Hotel Hauser to anyone we know travelling to St Moritz and will definitely come back and stay there for longer. Top marks all round.

We appreciated the sustainability aspect most from the hotel and all the women at the front desk were very friendly, pleasant and helpful. The location was very central to everything we needed from restaurants, to markets to the lake and the bus lines. The rooms are clean and minimal, with everything you could need and anything you do need - the front desk was happy to supply (I needed a kettle). The special pillows with the wood shavings were a treat! A pleasant surprise was the restaurant - the food was excellent - one of the best gnocchi we've all had in a long time and the other dishes we had were all delicious. The downside was the service, which was subpar and could've really elevated our experience if there was some attention paid but our waiter didn't seem interested in our dining experience whatsoever. We'd planned our wine pairing for dinner but he never returned to ask if we wanted more wine after the entrees got dropped off. Needless to say we were on our own after that until he came to clear the plates and asked my niece if she could 'hand over her plate' to him. It's one thing if we'd passed it along to be helpful on our own accord, it's another to ask that of your patron. As most of our table have been servers at one time or another and well versed in the service industry - that was disappointing. All that said, our morning server for breakfast was as lovely as can be and we all wanted her to adopt us! And the gentlemen who seemed to be a manager was also very pleasant and playful. Hoping the feedback can help improve the dinner service staff (or perhaps just that server). Overall we had a great experience and would recommend Hauser for all the other reasons!

We stayed at the Hauser Hotel for a night, while waiting for our Glacier Express. Right from check in to the time we checked out, we were treated very well with the reception staff being very helpful. She gave us a guide with places of interest as well as directed us to the car rental office. Our room was clean, spacious and had an excellent view of the mountains. Breakfast was also a very pleasant experience with the service staff making us feel very welcomed. This hotel also extended a transfer for us to the train station station. All in, we are very satisfied with services and staff of The Hauser Hotel and would like to thank everyone there for their professionalism and hospitality.

Cute, quirky hotel. We were only there one night but enjoyed the spacious room. My only complaint is that the bathtub stopper leaked so the water kept draining out. Also, bring your own conditioner (this applies to most of the hotels we visited in the area). The breakfast includes several local treats such as specialty breads, jams, honey, mountain berry juice, etc. If you are arriving by train and have a lot of luggage, take the bus as it is a mostly uphill walk. The tap water here is delicious. Perhaps that sounds odd but I drink a ton of water and this was the best tasting water I had in Switzerland. No A/C but there really isn't any A/C in Switzerland. It cools off at night and the room has windows that open to allow the rooms to cool. If you have small children, don't get a room on an upper floor. There are no screens or balconies or railings so a child could easily fall out an open window if left unsupervised. I reserve 5 star reviews for hotels that provide conditioner and lotion as it's a serious inconvenience to pack them with liquid limits at airports. This one didn't include them.

Fantastic experience. The front desk staff was wonderful and extremely helpful upon arrival. We were traveling with our 4 year old were fortunate enough to get a room with a sofa bed as well. The room was clean and minimalistic but comfortable. We also had a large patio with 4 chairs with a partial view of the lake. Of course being that it was summer the room was fairly warm at night and opening the windows didn't do much to tame the heat. Overall the hotel is very centrally located next to the main roundabout and pedestrian district in town. We did hear some street noise from the windows at night, but it's a very quiet town overall so it was not problematic. Good value for the price and bonus points for parking spots in front of the hotel (reservations required). Great breakfast downstairs in the restaurant. I'd highly recommend for families and semi-budget conscious travelers.

Hotel is well located near the heart of St. Moritz. Friendly hotel shuttle service pick-up/drop-off from/to the train station. We had a family room for 4, which was spacious and the beds and pine pillows option were very comfortable. Plenty of selection for breakfast and very tasty. We also had 3 dinners at the hotel, food was delicious. The burger and steak were our family favorites.

We very much enjoyed our stay at your hotel. The location is perfect. The reception staff were very friendly indeed. We appreciate the pick up and drop off service to and from the rail station. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the breakfast was great indeed with all your own products especially from your own confeserie. We will certainly come back.

It has a nice vibe with good apres ski music. You can find this place in the city centre of St. Moritz, a few steps away from the lift.

We loved our stay here 😍 the staff was so helpful by telling us exactly what should not be missed and the rooms were very comfortable and spacious! Everything is made by wood that leaves a very calming smell and atmosphere. Breakfast is basic but gets the job done. Very central and it offers free rides to and from the train station!

In my opinion Hauser is the best restaurant in St. Moritz. They have typical Swiss dishes like raclette, bratwurst, rösti,…the staff is also kind.

  • 4/5 Marc R. 2 years ago on Google
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was very plain, but smelled deliciously like wood. You can't get to the restaurant from the hotel without going outside or in the elevator, so expect delays in the morning checking out or getting to the restaurant. To be clear: The delay was not with the staff. The delay was in getting into an elevator. Because of corona, we can not get into an elevator with another guest, and we waited about 5 minutes before we got an elevator that was free. A minor inconvenience, but if someone is running late, it could be a big problem.
