I stayed here and I have to admit that everything creaks in this old rustic wooden house. What else? Cleanliness: 5/5 Services: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Bed: 5/5 Comfortability: 5/5 Value for money: 6 out of a maximum of 5 would actually not be enough. For my taste, there should be more accommodation in Switzerland with this simple, cheap and rustic character. PS: Restaurant/bar is also cozy and delicious.

Beautiful setting amongst some old and pretty houses. Friendly staff and good food. The ride up was very pleasant as well.

The place is awesome. Great atmosphere, clean room and bathroom. The dinner we had was a performance! The chef cooked a master class in culinary arts. He’s the best! I need to go back there! Chef, if you are reading this, you the man!

Such an amazing place! I stayed there with a friend this week and we had an amazing experience. The location is great, quiet and accessible by public transport or car. Lac bleu is a short hike away, super accessible and beautiful! The owners were incredible and friendly (as well as their super cute dog!) and were very welcoming and accommodating to all needs and requests. The food was also spectacular. Could not have been happier, despite the floors being a bit creaky. If I ever come back or know people in The Valley, I will definitely recommend them staying here!

Er were yelled at for sitting outside once we arrived because we weren’t allowed to check in so we had to sit somewhere else until we were allowed to check in. Generally the staff was not the nicest and they seemed overworked. But on the other Hand the Buffet for Dinner was one of the best we ever had. The Breakfast was more than acceptable as well.

Service is not existent at this place. I made a comment about the shower , that it is almost burned me, and receptionist didn’t do anything. And they gave me wrong room, and told me they could not do anything. I was super confused with the service of this hotel.

I would never imagine that so good and sophisticated cuisine man can find in such a small village

Lively place on the beautiful mountain hosted by Jonathan and Margot! Very recommend to stay here and enjoy the ambience and nature surrounding.(must visit Lac Bleu!)

We popped in for lunch after walking from the blue lake. Unfortunately the kitchen wasn't open but the owners very kindly offered us bread, cheese and sausage. Which was well received after the hike. Will be visiting again when we're in the area again

Good place for a break. We only had drinks on the nice terrace. They serve food but most people seemed to stick to drinks and we did likewise.

this is such a lovely place to stay. nice, charming rooms & dorms. close to arolla ski arena. perfectly located as starting point for ski trekking tours! young broadminded people from all over. great apres ski atmosphere in the restaurant. excellent breakfast... all you need to have a great stay in this region!!

We had an excellent time staying at La Gouille in February 2021. Margot and Jonathan, the new Management Team, are extremely kind, polite and went above and beyond to provide a truly memorable comfort stay. The food at the La Gouille is outstandingly delicious. We had the chef's special on our first evening, then we tried a mouthwatering giant burger which we had seen other guests enjoy the night before, to our delight as we enjoyed these fantastic meals made with fresh ingredients from the region. The portions are big. There is so much to choose from for breakfast. We had pancakes, crepes, eggs, bread, a brownie, hot chocolate and herbal tea. The meals are absolutely fantastic. The chef a master. The service provided by Margot and Jonathan, who run this beautiful hotel, is exceptionally wonderful. They provided a genuinely warm, friendly and professional hospitality that made us feel at home, relaxed, looked after, welcome and in the best place away from home. Thank you so very much! The rooms and facilities are good. Our bed was very comfortable and everything was clean and lovely. Only one small blemish, which is typical of most chalets, the walls are thin and some of the floor boards squeak. That said, the hotel is located at one of the last villages surrounded by the beautiful mountains and therefore it is quiet and guests and locals are respectful. For that one imperfection, La Gouille offers a lot more, far beyond expectations. La Gouille is located within walking distance to the famous Lac Bleu, beautiful mountain tops, skii locations among other wonderful expeditions and adventures. The local bus stops right outside La Gouille. We look forward to our next visit and we highly recommend La Gouille. Austin and Christelle

This place has amazing food, we had the burgers. Top quality meat, very nice composition of flavours. The stuff was very friendly and they do their best to communicate even if you dont know french. There was sadly one issue, and thats the spaceing during Covid times. There are only 3 sun shades and it wont cover the whole outdoor area, so people are cramped in the shadows. I would advise that more shade is created, so the customers can space themselves out better. This sadly did impact the experience, it made it more stressful than it should have been as freshly arrived customers rudly cramped themselves next to us by moving chairs. This was not the staffs fault, but long term this issue could be solved.
