Das moderne, luftige und dynamisch beleuchtete Restaurant vermittelt den Eindruck, dass das Essen gleichwertig auf einem hohen Niveau ist. Wir bestellten neben Butter und Garlic Naan eine Vorspeise - vegetarische Dumplings -, Chicken Tikka Massala und die vegetarische Platte: Die Dumplings waren zwar geschmacklich gut, für den Preis von 18 CHF aber beinahe dreist überteuert. Das Chicken Tikka Massala, ja eigentlich ein Aushängeschild für jedes Indische Restaurant, schmeckte viel zu sehr nach Tomatensauce. Die vegetarische Platte bestand aus leckeren Ocras und zwei beinahe identischen Gerichten. Wieso man hier aber nicht mehr Abwechslung reinbringt, verstehe ich nicht. Generelle Kritikpunkte: - zu teuer, für das was geboten wird - zu wenig beigelegten Reis - zu wenig vegetarische Gerichte, obwohl die indische Küche wirklich viele vegetarische Optionen hat - Die Naans kamen zur Vorspeise, nur wieso? Wir bestellten schließlich zur Hauptspeise weitere Garlic Naans, diese kamen leider nie an. Sie wurden dennoch auf die Rechnung gebucht, worüber wir den Kellner aufklärten - Die Kellner standen wirklich unter Strom. Wir wurden leider wenig beachtet. Abserviert wurde erst einige Minuten, nachdem wir fertig waren Fazit: ein vielversprechendes Lokal, das aber leider qualitativ nicht abliefern kann, es gibt weitaus bessere Inder.

Must do in Lugano! Oh what a wonderful experience (the highlight of our Euro Vacation). So much passion put into the food, service, decor and everything. My whole family loved the experience. They seemed to be super busy (even on a weekday) but the service was better than anything that we have experienced back home in Dubai. We will for sure come back to Lugano just for Tabla and will for sure recommend this to anyone who is the region and love food.

We visited Tabla’s on our recent Switzerland trip and Unlike most "Indian " restaurants, the food at Tabla is not only delicious but everything is distinctively different. Lovely staff and reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend to everyone

The best Indian restaurant in Switzerland is what I would say and I am a Indian living in Switzerland for 13 years now. It is not just the food, but the ambiance and most importantly the service. I wish I could shift gagaan and team, lock stock barrel to Zurich. Every little detail has been taken care of , the flowers in the window box to the cool rest rooms. The food is fresh and chef serves it with love.

We tried the Indian 6 course discovery menu and it was delicious. We loved the desserts that were very original (peanut butter and chocolate dimsum and dumpling soaked in rose water and vanilla ice-cream). The waiters were very nice and friendly. We strongly recommend!

Atmosphere and environment is great, very relaxing, warm and welcoming! Came here for a birthday dinner, and food was great, mostly Indian food as well as a few dishes from other asian countries. Service was amazing, very nice staff. Prices are fairly reasonable, and not too expensive for Lugano. Location is nice but the restaurant is a little bit difficult to find. However, definitely recommend!!

As someone who has lived in India many years this was the best Indian meal I’ve ever had. Gagan, the owner was an excellent host with a sharp sense of humour and first class understanding of his wines and foods. The setting is warm and welcoming and wine cellar worth a quick look, even more so if Gagan explains things for you. The starters were good but the mains of lamb shank and veal steak were something else, truly exceptional. The wines we were given paired perfectly. Overall a first class experience!

We are an Indian family living in the french part of Switzerland where we’re yet to find decent Indian food. However, it was a great and pleasant surprise to find this gem of a restaurant nestled into the green hills of Lugano, on our way back from holidays. The curries were authentic and as very critical foodies we were all in agreement that this food was very well made. The spices had been treated hust the right way in order to create a very authentic hearty Indian meal. The naans became a little hard after being served but the superb curries made up for it. Our 4 year old son who is particular with his food, loved the flavoursome curry and it made us so content and convinced that this was quality food. Wishing the owners and staff every success in running this lovely place.

Food is good, service is welcoming and indeed takes care of you. Multiple vegetarian options are available. Most of the other guests were couples, or small group of friends (up to four people). Some of them were talking English, Spanish, so it is not frequented by locals only. I wouldn't recommend it for kids, as I haven't seen any menus. It is pricey, 130.00 chf for two people considering two glasses of prosecco, 2 main courses and 2 starters, no dessert, no coffee. The "Twist" and the "Tabla" are owned by the same company: I prefer the "Tabla" since there is a better atmosphere and the location is more fortunate. Price range is the same. Parking places (5-6) are available.

Amazing food and very friendly staff. Despite the vicinity to the train tracks, you don't hear anything inside and you can full enjoy the nice atmosphere. Our little fury friend was allowed in too. Definitely worth a visit!

We had the most amazing dinner here. As we are away from home for long we felt we were eating authentic Indian food just like how we make it at home. We got curd specially made in Indian home style bowls made by them. Eating the meal transported me back to my childhood favourite food.

My partner and I ate at Tabla during a one night stay in Lugano and we are so glad we made the choice to eat here! Service was impeccable and we had delicious appetizers, two champagnes, a red and rosé, chicken tikka masala, and the vegan Main course Indian platter. Everything was very good but the chicken tikka masala was a standout—better than anything we’ve had in the States. The waiting staff and Gagan, the owner, were very friendly and professional. We enjoyed chatting with Gagan about his time in the States and seeing the wine cellar. A must to eat at when you’re in Lugano!!

Writing the review after a year. Didn't have a good experience at all. I kind of fel humiliated at the restauran. It seemed a d of the manager or the owner didn't want to see south Asian folks in his restaurant. One of the starter was good but rest of the food was flavourless. Wouldn't go there again nor recommend it to anyone
