You like tulips and you don’t want to go the the Netherlands? If so, take a morning on a weekday to visit “La fête de la Tulipe” in the city of Morges end of April. There is a huge variety of these flowers on display, with each flowerbed sponsored by a city, village or company. We go there every year for a photo shoot. You will get the best result a day without sun and wind, a combination that is not that frequent. And avoid the week-ends if you don’t like other people in your pictures…

It was a fun and enjoyable experience! However, the tulips were already done blooming when we were there, so they were a bit withering. There were so many types of flowers and were arranged beautifully. There were also various unique spots where you can take pictures in. It wasn’t a far walk from the train station too, so it’s very accessible.

Beautiful variety of tulips! Made my day trip to Morges absolutely worth it.

There were so many beautiful and colorful tulips around! I was fortunate to come here during tulip festival period. The only my concern is too many flying bugs near the lake, it was quite scary for me, although they did not 'bite'.

Fete de la tulipe, located in morges, is a scenic park. It’s beautiful especially during an evening stroll. Though we visited during winter when there no tulips it was still enjoyable to walk through the park overlooking lake Geneva. I’m looking forward to being back during spring to stroll around thousands of tulips of different varieties.

It’s a nice place to have a picnic, very serene! There are quite a few people that visit and take pictures around the tulips so there not a lot of empty space but would recommend for a cute day trip.
