Beautiful and must-see Abbey absolutely worth visiting. I would have never expected such a rich, interesting and modern exhibition (by Thematis) behind theses recluse walls dating back to the 6th century, wow! Nice selection of products in the gift shop, especially the house-made ambiance perfume and selection of burning scents. I'll be back 🤗

This is an amazing historical site curated very effectively allowing access to the church, cloister, treasury and archeological site. This early church site, located in a picturesque little town and under a high cliff, was very important in the history of Burgundy and Savoy, both in politics and religion. The guide and the informational displays are very professional and useful to understanding the site. The treasury is filled with extremely rare and beautiful medieval objects that demonstrate the power and wealth of this church and monastery/priory. The price of admission is well worth it.

Absolutely brilliant place. One can almost feel the passage of time there. There is quite a bit to see in the buildings and the surroundings. I felt that it was a very serene and spiritual place.

Very well-done audio guide, mixing cultural, historical, and religious information. Interesting site. Plan about 1.5 hours for the tour, more if you want to take the stairs up to our Lady of Scex above the monastery.

It was a great experience learning about this ancient town, its importance in the roman period, the role it played for the crusades. There is an amazing Fairy cave (Grotte de fées) that you absolutely must see. It features waterfalls and a long path inside the mountain. After all this excitement, we went to the nearby spa, Lavey-les-Bains and enjoyed saunas, hammams and pools of all kinds overlooking the snowy tops of surrounding mountains.

Very interesting and pretty. Full of history and beautiful ecclesiastical treasures. Like also the stained glass windows.

Nice city, St Maurice would be a fine city to visit, but beware the expensive parking meters: they convinced us to leave this inhospitable place after an hour...

Very modern, very well organised for children and adults, we learned a lot about the place and enjoyed the visit to a point that we are planning to come back!

They had an audio tour in English! Awesome history and we stayed for an Organ concert that was amazing!
