Plenty of parking. Three grill places open to the public with free firewood. Plenty of tables and seating for free protected from rain in the two large sheds. Large playground, restaurant and a visitor centre complete the list of structures. Nearby exhibits for children include otters, fish and beavers. Great setting off point for nature hikes in the Sihlwald (Sihl Forest) as well as cycling. Plenty of parking but make sure you pay and display or chances are you WILL get a fine. Bring lots of food and a grille and BBQ to your heart's content.

Otters and beavers are kept in enclosures, with lights illuminating the enclosure of the nocturnal beavers. Free for people coming by train, else parking ticket contributes to maintaining the place.

Very nice playground and a place for the picnics.Lots of various walks around. The actual visitors centre is a bit dead with overpriced books and toys. You can give it a miss. There is also a restaurant.

👍👍 Very nice place along the Sihltaal along the water. There is one or the other possibility to roast a Servelat for the dog, it's also great because he can go anywhere to the river to drink water. We were met by gold panners, to our astonishment there were also fishermen with patents.

👍 The house is pretty and well renovated. It explains the early life of J. Spyri, their parents and how she left to ZH. Very little about how she wrote Heidi or her success about it. Going with public transportation is a bit of a long way and there is only 1 bus each hr. Goibg back to the train, but j...
