Thank you for the most amazing Halloween of my life: standing in the line outside of the stadium without even being able to reach the entrance. Make people a favor: Don't try to make huge events if you don't know how to manage. +50chf well spent, never again will I step my foot in that place. And I think I'm not the only one who thinks this way.

Me and my buddies have been going to village du soir for several times now. We spend quite a good sum of money each time... easily hundred(s) each. One would expect to be treated a bit better. The bouncer last night had some kind of power trip refusing people entry because we were black .We packed our stuff and went to java club; we were treated quite differently there tbh.

It is an excellent venue for dancing with different halls for different types of music. There is also a selection of eateries inside from burgers, pizza to fondue, etc.. We had burgers, which were great and perfect for the night. It is free entry before 23:00

For some odd reason the bouncer did not like my face and decided not to pass me entry to the backroom, esentially cutting me off from getting to my friends. All of us had to leave! Because we wanted some place to sit. Reason given: You are Arabian and we don't like Arabian. The bouncer said it straight to me . If you feel like being discriminated this is the place to go lol. Overall they really don't care about people here, never seen so rude bouncers.

My friend was not allowed in because he was not wearing jeans. Straight after we arrived there was a man that was tackled to the ground by the bouncer. I felt unsafe as a woman. It didn’t feel like it was an all inclusive environment but rather one of discrimination and violence. What kind of a society do we live in, whereby free entrance requires individuals to dress in a way which pleases the bouncers. Disappointed but not surprised. They also didn’t have any vegetarian options.

I had heard some good about their 70’s and 80’s room, so I decided to try it. When I went to the door to go in, the bouncer didn’t let me in, pointing to a spot I had on my shirt (must have been water) and said not only he didn’t like my tired look, he couldn’t let me in with that “vomit” on my shirt! I told him it wasn’t vomit and that I hadn’t seen it anyway — but he insisted it was vomit! That, to me, is abusive behaviour. Yet another person who shouldn’t even be at this job since he feels he’s there to compensate for his inferiority complex. Respectable establishments don’t put abusive personnel at their doors. I can only conclude this is not a respectable place to go to. That was already visible by the crowd that was gathering at the main entry and their behaviour. I’ll add that I had not been refused entrance to a nightclub since my teenage years! Definitely avoid if you’re looking for a good club to relax and have fun at. p.s. I was reading the other negative comments about this place and most seem to reflect a problem in abusive “security” personnel. The fact that the club hasn’t yet addressed the issue, or simply that they have not even yet taken the time to respond, let alone apologise to the clientele should say much about the class — or lack thereof— of this establishment.

I can definitely not recommend this club for Friday evenings. The music was really bad and the same across all three rooms and the atmosphere and people made us feel uncomfortable. Age-wise, the party-goers were either 40+ or around 20 and younger. The entry price was 20CHF (after 11pm) and the staff is also not necessarily friendly.

The bouncers are some of the worst ones I ever met. Bad music and the atmosphere made me feel uncomfortable. Wouldn't recommend under any circumstances. Avoid this place.

Decent place but they deny the basic human right of not giving you water unless you pay for it. Lame and dangerous. Typical geneva elite. Dont go

I discovered this place a few months ago, and I love it 😇 Nice atmosphere, 3 types of music in the 3 rooms. If you get sick of Latino, you go in the other room, and listen to some electro stuff or whatever, something else. I love that concept! People that work there are quite nice, bartenders, security guys, and the dj’s know what they’re doing 😎 Will come back again ! 🥳

Great party! Different music for all tastes. Drinks are small and expensieve though. For entering you need to pay a ticket.

Excellent evening at Village du Soir. We enjoyed the plancha & steaks at Taboo restaurant & then danced the evening away at the 3 different dance floors. Each dance floor had a different music theme. Relaxed atmosphere & great music with a mixed aged group of customers. The cocktails at Taboo though need some improvement. Overall, a great evening out on a warm evening.

The Halloween night was very fun, however it was expensive. We arrived at 6pm for the at the door tickets (about CHF 30 if I remember correctly) and there were food trucks of around CHF 15-30 for a meal. There were many themed areas that gradually opened up throughout the night, each with a different music style or vibe. The drinks were the main expense, increasing in price after midnight. A beer went from CHF 6-8 to CHF 9-11, and the cocktails increased from about CHF 16 to nearly CHF 20. As the event ran from 6pm to 6am we ate and drank quite a bit so it ended up being CHF 100+ per person. If possible eat and drink before the event :)

Nice music. The violino player (2cellos style on contemporary disco pieces) was really good.

Many night clubs with different musical styles and snacks available, all in one spot. Cool but not recommended for the bourgeoisie 😅

Be sure to be white if you come here. Otherwise it’s just playing lottery to get in. They also dont serve free water glasses and a simple redbull will cost you 17frs. The barmans and bouncer don’t care about the people there. This place was only good the first year it opened as a temporary nightclub supposed to be there only 1-2years… it definitely only went downhill since

The food was good and the atmosphere was really nice. They had a very good Sangria, I think one of the best in Geneva, and you could really feel the alcohol. We also enjoyed the music that played (live band with popular songs). It was lovely for a Thursday night.

Me and my buddies have been going to village du soir for several times now, especially on the salsa evenings; we spend quite a good sum of money each time... easily hundred(s) each. One would expect to be treated a bit better. The bouncer last night had some kind of power trip refusing people entry to the 30 and over area by cherry picking. My friends got through and I did not. We packed our stuff and went to java club; we were treated quite differently there tbh.

Fun hippie place with nice vibes. Great for tourists. Food is good also with some authentic Swiss food trucks. My favorite is meringue with Gruyere cream. To die for.

Nice club, spacious indoor, with some outdoor space for smokers or just to hang out. Three different music options in each building 🥳

the staff is great and the place is really awsome ! Be sure to check the website before going so you know that the 20.- you spent for the entry are worth the music, i made the mistake one time.

Super fun place, AND FOOD THROUGHOUT the night, which is absolutely the best. But y’all seriously need to do something about all of the predatory men. Like, it’s a BAD problem here. Of all of the clubs in Geneva, I would say Village du soir has a serious issue with cishet predatory men following, grabbing, hovering, staring, etc. and even worse things that I have experienced first-hand. Please get better security, do better security checks at entrance, limit cishet men, have security monitors on the dance floor, more attentive bartenders, and don’t serve men who are clearly already drunk. This would make the price and distance 10000% worth it.

DJ on a Saturday night was absolutely awful, playing old 80s music then slow drake songs then house music, reggaeton, French rap then throwback French songs all in 10 minutes, repeating songs they had already played and mixing songs together that had literally two completely different vibes. Stick one thing and go with it it’s so hard to enjoy when the music is changing around from fast to slow every minute. 17f for a vodka Red Bull is such a rip off as well, doesn’t even matter that it’s in Geneva that kind of price is ridiculous
