    This is a Michelin star restaurant but only during summer season. Still the same chef making unique plates. I tried the soup which was really good. The steak was made exactly to order and taste good. Dessert was just ok. Service was good. Recommended if you are visiting this beautiful town on the lake.

    *Please be aware that this kitchen is closed!* We booked a night at the wonderful Grand Hôtel du Lac in combination with a 3 course dinner at Les Saisons. We were not informed that the restaurant (because of COVID-19) did not serve their usual Michelin-star-quality. To be honest, the food was really bad. Prefabricated & re-heated is my guess. I actually think that I don’t exaggerate when I say this was one of the worse dinners we ever had. Ever. Not talking about worse Michelin-dinners. Service of the restaurant was also terrible. We waited more than 45 minutes for a wine we ordered with our meal. Entree was already served & cold...no wine. No solutions from the staff. Such a shame. My advice would be: book the package, enjoy your room in the beautiful Hôtel du Lac & have a burger in the restaurant instead of the 3-course dinner.

    I unfortunately had the displeasure of staying here with my wife during our honeymoon in September( we left immediately for another hotel our first morning) . The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. We booked a room with a lake view that was not honored at check in and we were only given an option to upgrade to a lake view for $150 extra. The restaurant was certainly not a Michelin star by any means. I urge you DO NOT STAY HERE under any circumstances. Very deceitful place. Note to GM Luc - don’t respond to this post with one of your disingenuous and lame generic replies - focus your energy else where and treat your customers fairly…

    The Location will take your breathe away! The views from this hotel are outstanding and one of the best experiences of a lifetime! The rooms are nice and cosy. Beware EU Plug and Switzerland plugs are different so make sure you buy the correct adapters! It's an amazing spot and would go back to this hotel no problems at all. Also great little restaurants nearby too!

    I stayed in this Hotel one night through a company event. The interior is really beautiful and the rooms very cozy. The staff was always super friendly, kind and helpful. The location right next to the lake is of course excellent. However, as a vegan who had three meals and breakfast here, I must say I was really disappointed in the food. Even though it was previously announced that I was vegan, the vegan options were usually just the normal option with the non-vegan parts removed, with some variations, and severely lacked a source of protein. For example, the risotto with fish was just the risotto, and not even more of the risotto. Breakfast options were also extremely limited, with some food items like the cereal it was not even marked whether it was vegan. How a vegan person is supposed to get full or have a balanced meal with this is beyond me. It's 2022, so I do except better, hopefully my review will lead so some improvements.

    "Grand" Hotel du Lac, certainly not. Its Esprit restaurant overcharges. A pretentious, self-satisfied restaurant supervisor. The service was catastrophic. Pretends to deliver high standards, but doesn't except for the bill. Visitors : please move away, or make a donation to charity !

    Beautiful hotel, great location and phenomenal service! Was a perfect location, not as touristy as Montreux but convenient access to there as well as Lavaux by train and bus, both of which are free with a stay at the hotel! Numerous staff members helped us plan lunches and gave us great ideas of where to go nearby. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return!

    Such a beautiful, very ‘kitch’ hotel. The rooms were very large and comfortable, very warm in winter too. Location is brilliant, very central but sound proofed rooms. The amenities are also very good. I would definitely stay again.

    My wife and I stayed, unfortunately, for just one night on a recent driving tour. From the moment we arrived the service was immaculate, unpretentious and extremely professional. The hotel décor is delightful, the location wonderful and the ambiance in the evening was just the perfect balance. Dinner at L' Esprit was excellent. We will be back.

    My wife and I spent 4 nights at this hotel and really liked it. It is separated from the lake by a narrow and not busy street. The view from the restaurants' terraces is stunning and we would recommend this hotel as a romantic get-away in an otherwise quiet town.

    I have to say, traveling the world for Luxury hotels is my passion and profession and Grand Hotel du Lac is one of the most memorable experiences that I’ve ever had. The hospitality and attention to detail at this property is like none other, true swiss professionalism. I stayed for a week longer than I expected. I came for montreaux Jazz Festival and decided to stay here to get away from the noise of Montreux and I ended up changing my plane ticket just to stay in this beautiful property looking at the lake for an additional week. The Entire staff have gone above and beyond for me. It’s like staying at a gorgeous boutique hotel with family. I can’t speak highly enough how enamored I am over this Qwaint hotel. Mia and Salome at the front desk have gone far past what is expected to assist a guest for my time here. They are a true asset and a gem to this property. I will be back annually to stay here because of them. Definitely get a lakefront room. It is a spectacular view and so peaceful and serene.

    Beautiful hotel, recently renovated. Rooms are fresh and elegant as are the social areas at ground floor. Restaurant service was excellent at dinner, breakfast was delicious, service at breakfast however was underwhelming. Everybody seemed to be in a rush and stressed. Not pleasant. Beautiful gardens and location at the promenade.

    I stayed at this property for a wedding and it delivered above expectations. The garden is gorgeous and well-kept, the food and drinks were amazing (especially the Caesar salad), and I was even able to have a lavender pillow. I'd like to give a special shoutout to the staff member who was able to source me with a proper hair dryer when the one in my room died and the special delivery of conditioner for my long hair. Final shoutout to the valet who we saw each morning remove EVERY leaf from the pavement - simply incredibly service here. I will be back.

    Fantastic experience. Ambience was great, food was delicious (got a bit salty for the spinach but all the rest was superb), beef was so tender and the greens tasted fresh. The dessert was the best. It was a nice mix of contrasts - chili, sweet, sour but blended very nicely.

    I had a trip to Hanoi for 3 days 2 nights. It was great because I was a great time in this hotel, the attitude of the staff towards customer service. We have enough furniture in the room, the hotel is newly built so everything is very new and beautiful, the location is close to the cathedral and the lake. I will definitely come back here next time.

    My name is Michelle Ma and I with my sister Denise, stayed at your hotel 16- 17.12.22. I want to make a complaint to Chef de Service from Les Saisons. Because we dined there and he ruined my experience. It was a total Katastrophe and even my sister was dissatisfied with the Service. We came here for to celebrate her Birthday. And that is such unacceptable, to not be able enjoy the evening. That's why It needs a complaint. We booked the table on 20:30, but we came late by 10min. We weren't greeted with a smile from Chef de Service, instead stressed and very sour. I was feeling apologetic, that we came late. But still his manner was not ok. Atleast he greeted us and took us to the table. The placement of the table was directly to the entrance between the bar and to the outside which was not the best. But ok we came late and I don't want to bother them. So we ordered, 3 appetizers and 2 Main dishes. One of the Service took our order, she didn't take notes. But she had to ask again about our order, so which my sister was noticing and told me that they still should take notes. We also ordered our drinks for aperitif, 2 Champagne and a Bottle of San Pellegrino. It came quick, but the bottle of water was forgotten. Which we had to ask again. So the Chef de Service came only with a half of a litre bottle. He didn't even ask. I saw my cutleries weren't nice, they were dirty and not polished well. So I asked for a clean cutlery and without problems Chef de Srvice gave me a new pair. And when the appetizer came, it was very good, till the Chef de Service took my unfinished plate. I wasn't even finished, I was still dipping the sauce with some bread. And I said loudly I wasn't finished.... which he was surprised and apologized many times. Second time happened as we were eating Bread and Butter together. And there was only a little Butter left and he just took it without asking. I was buffed, and he didn't take a single glance towards our table. I was thinking why was he such in a hurry....i was really stressed. But atleast the mood of the Chef de Service was a bit better. Still he faked a smile whenever he passed at our table. For the mains it was nothing to complain about, we were very pleased. At last I ordered a "Vacherin" dessert and it was too beautiful to eat. Chef de Service asked me, if I want a wine paired with. Which i only wanted to try . So he gave me a sip, i declined in the end. So for overall the Service staff were poor and pathetic manner to Chef de Service. They weren't briefed well nor informed well with the kitchen staff. Explaination to the dishes wasn't so clearly understandable. I was very dissatisfied which it lead me more drained, stressed and tired. Which I was already, because of the Journey to come all the way from Zurich. We wanted to have a good time and celebrate my sister bday. But the Service ruined the night. Especially the unacceptable, unwelcome manner of Chef de Service. I don't know if it was because we were Chinese. But even than whichever country you are from, you shouldn't discriminate people by their colour. Or put them all into the Stereotypical pot. I'm very dissapointes and that even made me think to not coming back at Les Saisons again. Thank you for taking your time for reading my Complain. The food were fantastic and considerate. But the Service needs a immediate change and improvement.

    Best hotel ever stayed. Kids friendly, family friendly. This is already a second time we stay with Grand Hotel du Lac. Also the city of Vevey is very lovely, peaceful with full of sunshine.

    We enjoyed our stay so much , everything was perfect, the staff was also excellent especially the lady from dubai she was very helpful and friendly , we had problems with other hotels in the area since it’s very rare to find someone who can speak arabic but in this hotel we had absolutely no problem in communication everything was handled perfectly. This is the best hotel we stayed in Vevey and montreux

    We were in Switzerland for 2 weeks. Grand Hotel du Lac was one of our favorite hotels. Having a balcony with a lake view is a divine way to start the day. The hotel was impeccably appointed. We especially enjoyed La Marina and would have been happy to stay longer just to enjoy the terrace and outdoor restaurant. (Anywhere you can get Dom by the glass is pretty fun). This is a hotel that is so lovely that you will be conflicted whether to spend time in the hotel or take in the many glorious sites in Vevey, the Lavaux, and Montreux. We can't wait to return to the Swiss Riviera.

    The Grand Hotel du Lac was truly one of my favorite places I've ever stayed. The hotel itself is stunningly gorgeous, especially the wallpapers, fabrics, and classic designs, and the staff is second to none. We will most certainly be back.

    The food was really tasty and the service was good but it did take 3 hours for us to get served 3 courses. Unfortunately this did affect the overall experience for us and made it less enjoyable.

    What a pleasant surprise in this little gem in Vevey! Because we arrived a little early, we were treated to an apero with live music in the lobby (the singer was absolutely talented). We went for the 4 course meal, and the entire dinner was a delight, with generous portions and served by very attentive and friendly staff. Even the head chef stopped by to ask how it was going. The ambiance was cosy even though the restaurant was in a grand old hotel, and our room had a fireplace to add to the whole experience.

    I am both vegan and gluten free and they were very accomodating here! Everyone was kind and patient and happy. I felt at home, and the food was delicious! The chef even baked me bread! I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

    Definitely not a Michelin star restaurant. Food was ok at best. Prawns were raw, Cod was smelly and lamb was just about ok. You could do a lot better
